- 3 matchups were tested with Trickysticks: Renekton, Jax and Riven.
- Notes: Quinn's Q and E=Blinding Assault and Vault respectively
- Renekton vs. Quinn:
- Start: Cloth+5 pots
- Skill order: W>E>Q>Q>Q>R, R>Q>E>W
- Details: Renekton does okay, if not good, vs. Quinn. His kit allows him to trade vs. Quinn, and he puts out a ridiculous amount of burst damage with levels. In addition, Quinn's kit is not as effective vs. Renek as it would be on others (double gap closer allows him to catch up to Quinn when she uses Vault, Blinding Assault does not affect Renek's DPS due to him being an AD caster, and Renek can stun Quinn when she uses Vault). From lvls. 1 to 3, however, Quinn has the edge in the matchup due to her passive+Q giving her some effective early harass and damage, plus Renek doesn't have his full kit to be able to trade. At lvl.4, however, Renekton can take the fight to her and chunk her down pretty damn quickly. At lvl.6 onwards, Renekton wins duels vs. Quinn as long as he has ult up, and sometimes even without it.
- Pros
- + Can trade effectively with Quinn from lvl.4 onwards.
- + Better base stats than Quinn, allowing him to outscale her in lane.
- + Quinn's kit is not as effective on Renekton because of his own kit.
- Cons
- - Cannot trade with Quinn at lvl. 1-3 because of her range and damage early on
- - Quinn's kite is godlike and can still bite you in the ass during duels
- Jax vs. Quinn
- Start: Cloth+5 pots
- SKill order: R>Q>W>E
- Details: Jax does horrible vs. Quinn. Jax is weak pre-6, and Quinn's range and harass can make it next to impossible to farm up without taking heavy damage. Jax's DPS is mostly reliant on autoattacks, and Quinn's Q can invalidate his damage along with E to bait Jax's stun, taking away Jax's edge in dueling. If Jax somehow makes it through the pre-6 stage, his dueling vs. Quinn becomes better, but he will still get wrecked in a fair fight. If you get this matchup, you may do well to ask for a lane switch, dodge the queue, ask for a lot of jungler presence or just pick someone who doesn't suck against Quinn.
- Pros
- + Jax can still outduel her post-6
- + ??????
- Cons
- - Jax is weak pre-6, and Quinn is strong pre-6.
- - Frustrating to fight in duels because of blind and anti-gapcloser mitigating most of your DPS
- - Can be zoned away from cs effectively and unable to retaliate efficiently
- Riven vs. Quinn
- Start: Cloth+5 pots, could be possible to start a Doran's Blade (more than possible, in fact)
- Skill order: E>W>Q>Q>Q>R, R>Q>E>W, would most likely end up as R>E>Q>W in a safe lane or R>Q>E>W in a murder lane
- Details: Riven has the same success as Renekton when dueling Quinn. Her E can mitigate harass from Quinn when properly timed (easy because Quinn's passive telegraphs her harass), allowing her to go evenish and still be able to farm. In addition, Quinn's Q only slightly hurts Riven's DPS and E is not as effective because Riven has a lot of gapclosers, allowing her to ignore the 50% slow to catch up with Quinn. Unlike with Renekton, Quinn doesn't dictate the pace of the match from lvls. 1-3, though it's still not recommended to attempt to duel with her until you have at least your E, W and Q and at most your ult. This dynamic could change if you started a Doran's Blade, but that has yet to be tested.
- Pros
- + Riven can mitigate Quinn's harass and catch up to her even when Quinn uses E.
- + Can trade efficiently with Quinn due to not being an autoattack-based champion and having 4 gapclosers in her kit, not counting Flash.
- + Goes even in lane at first (depending on item start) and eventually outscales Quinn in terms of damage capability regardless of what you started.
- Cons
- - Quinn can slightly mitigate Riven's DPS on her combos due to Riven autoattacking in the middle of skills.
