  1. Here is my full list, if anyone is interested:
  2. * Review nuclear weapons procedures. (In the era of deep fakes)
  3. * Conduct continuity exercises with military and intelligence in order to restore government functions. Have backups in place in case people in governance start dying in bigger numbers. (For next pandemic)
  4. * Look into hiring for auxiliary police and military reserves.
  5. * Review the constitution, so that reviving government functions is the priority.
  6. * Conduct parliament/congress/senate online (with provisions against deep fakes and all decisions are logged for everyone to review)
  7. * Stand down procedures and communications between all government, specially the major governments. Be on guard if someone uses the disruption as an opportunity to trigger chaos.
  8. * Get ready for the next big pandemic. Have provisions in place for scaling hospital and healthcare functions, disposing off bodies (mass graves or burning the bodies if need be).
  9. * Start implementing basic income: Figure out means of enabling this pool of money: Scott Santens, Zoltan Istvan and others have some ideas along these lines.
  10. * Look into starting victory gardens, soup kitchens for the spring/summer/fall seasons.
  11. * Anticipate demand for healthcare workers in the fall/winter and start launching courses online.
  12. * Expand government functions. Policy makers working with Udacity and help train workers where they are going to be needed.
  13. * Keep a close eye out on the energy markets. Particularly oil. Have plans in place if governments start failing. Procedures and mechanisms in place in order to deal with a potential refugee crisis.
  14. * Start building giga factories with the help of US Army corps of engineers.
  15. * Overall, four part focus: Deal with the issue right now, stop-gap procedures to stop the financial fallout and concurrently work on steps to revive the economy, build resiliency in our systems and networks in order to be ready for the major disruption, supporting the means through which basic research is supported (Which I believe is the most important issue).
