Items need for sewing class

For those that do not know how to sew. I suggest that you make something simple like a skirt or pant with elastic or top without buttons.   those that know how to sew you can choose what you want to make.
*This is a six-week class starting October 4, 11, 18 Nov. 1, 8 and 15th. Time: 6:30 - 8:30pm in the Fellowship Hall

Basic items that you will need:   pins, pin cushion,
tape measure, sewing gauge,
scissors, seam ripper,
hand needles, and thread (color of your fabric)
pattern, fabric and maybe interfacing depending on what you are making.
The amount and type of fabric that you get depend on the pattern that you choose.
How to read the back of a pattern (see attach)
If you are a size 10 and you want to make #D, follow the drawing. You will need 2  3/4  yards of fabric (if your fabric is 45 inch wide.)
If the fabric is 60 inch wide you would need 2 1/8 yards of fabric. Also on the back of the pattern it give you suggestion of type of fabric that you can use.

For the mens also see attach men shirt: if you are xl and you want to make #A follow the drawing.  You will need 2 3/8 yds of fabric that is 45 inch and 1 7/8 yds for 60 inch fabric.

Please have all supplies on the first day of class.
