Note: While I claim this is for multiple games, right now you will need to connect to a process that has an address that's "1" when the game is loading and "0" when it isn't. Custom parameters for pausing and resuming the timer will come eventually.

Steps:
Put it into the Components folder.
Open your game before opening livesplit or a layout with the component.
Add a "IGT" component to your layout, it is invisible.
Move the component to the very top of the layout.
In the Livesplit settings for the IGT, input the process name and the pointer for if the game is loading.

Example: find the pointer for if the game is loading:
Open up Cheat Engine
Connect it to Borderlands2.exe
Using a 4-byte search, search for "1" while the game is on a load screen and "0" when it is not loading.
Narrow it down to however many values you want, until a green address is at the top of the list.
Add that address to the cheat list.
Double click that address, and the pointer after "Borderlands2.exe+" is what you want.

You should only have to do this once.
