	"Come on, Equius, it's just a bit further!" The young troll stepped lightly through the undergrowth of the jungle unfettered, always a few feet ahead of Equius, whose prominent horns got caught in the low hanging vines and branches constantly. It was hot and humid, causing him to sweat even more than usual, his tank top sticking to his skin. Nepeta had dragged him out here for "A sleepover, you silly horse!" she said innocently.

	What she had forgotten to say was that it was a several hour trek back to her house, out of Equius' suburbs and through the desert, which was freezing at night. It was midnight when she had arrived, perky as usual, and now the sun was just about to peek up from under the horizon.

	Distracted by thinking about his predicament, Equius lost sight of the bobbing green trenchcoat that flitted in front of him and stopped. "Nepeta? Where are you?" Equius yelled.

	A yowl answered him back. Rushing over to the source of the sound, he found Nepeta nursing her left ankle. "I just tripped over a root. I'm okay," Nepeta said hurriedly as she sprung back up on her feet.

	Too fast. She yelped as she placed her weight on her injured leg, and clung on to Equius for support. Using him as a living crutch, Nepeta led Equius to a cave beside a small spring. "We're here!" she said cheerfully.

	"Nepeta?"

	"Yes?"

	"This is a cavern."

	"Well, of course it is! There aren't any houses in the jungle, silly!" she said as she pulled Equius in.
