Renegade Jump part 2

Part 2

Our swords clashed together causing sparks as the world around us exploded our companions now raging an all-out war around us. I don’t think I can put my disappointment in this new jumper in to words.

“We don’t have to do this?” she shouted to me over the explosions and violence. Despite my absurd speed it was amazing she could keep up as I hacked and slashed at her.

“Really because you’re the one who attacked us. Isn’t this what you wanted?”

“Hey you attacked me and that dragon wasn’t with us.”

“Yeah I am done talking to you, you know what, your just like her. Fine I am going to subdue you take your spark and fight Jumpchan alone. After I am done I’ll restore you and your friends but I am not letting you stop me from doing the right thing.”

She paused blinking stunned almost costing her life “you-you’re going to take on jump chan?”

“Yeah” I said. Tossing a huge burst of magic that should have sent her flying but just left her coughing a bit. “Wait your going to fight jumpchan? Have I got this right?”

“Laugh all you want unlike you I’m not afraid to risk my life to do the right thing.”

She just sighed and shook her head. “Fine, I don’t want to hurt you but let’s get this over with.” She said sadly. “I see now nothing I say here is going to convince you.”

I drew in more energy and a launched powerful spell after Powerful spell, she threw up a quick barrier but I heard it shatter. For a moment amidst the smoke and debris I thought I may have annihilated her but she came flying out of the smoke at me and nearly cut me in half. She was clearly worse for wear from the spells.

“I thought you didn’t want to hurt me.” I shouted as I dodged her, surprised that she was fast enough o keep up with me.

“I don’t but if I hold back I’m just going to die. The only way to stop you at this point is to beat some sense in to you. By the way neat trick that the wounds you inflict don’t heal… Hurts like a bitch.” She said as he sword flicked out. I tried to block with my own but she shifted at the last moment and soon I found my sword pulled from my grasp.

I backed up faster than she could press the advantage flinging more spells though they did little to her as she approached. She actually was blocking them with her sword.

I formed a sword and a shield out of flaming green energy from my starshard and readied myself. My shield met her onslaught but I could feel it start to crack. I dropped the sword and focused almost everything on the shield. While she was busy I focused the rest of my energy on calling back my sword which was now behind her.

At the last moment she sensed it and tried to dodge I expected this and corrected the course unfortunately only catching her arm holding her sword sending it flying.

She bit back a scream as I pressed my advantage reshaping my shield in to a huge blast of energy but she blocked with her remaining arm and let out a powerful scream that lifted me up and threw me back dozens of yards.

I could feel my ears bleeding as I stumbled to my feet. I was surprised to see her standing holding her stump, her sword already in her other hand as she pressed it against it. She was bleeding profusely.

“I see Jumpchan’s standards have certainly fallen I said.” Then felt something sharp pierce my chest looking down to see her sword protruding from my chest. I was surprised to see it had missed all my vital organs.

“You can still stop this.” She panted “No one has to be hurt”

“I have already been hurt I am sorry your just to blind to see what your dealing with.” I shouted as I forced myself out of phase and back in to try and destroy her sword… only to experience agony as I instead of her sword being destroyed by my return it tore through me again.

I shifted and my elbow connected with her chin knocking her grip loose on her sword. Through agonizing I pulled it out. Coughing up blood.

“Why can’t you see your being used?”

“I know I am being used… I am gaining enough out of it that it’s worth it.”

“You’re a idiot.” I shouted and head butted her making her stumble back. I slammed her to the ground and tried to start punching her but quickly found her knee in my gut sending me flying.

“If we keep this up we’ll both die.” She coughed.

“Then give up. You’re the one who started this in the first place.”

She was about to answer but a shadow fell over both of us as the dragon from earlier crashed down I barely rolled and avoided it but she wasn’t so lucky as grabbed her with her with it’s mouth and shook her like a rag doll and gulped her down.

“Ahh at last that felt so good, Its amazing and I have you to thank for helping me vanquish my foe.” The huge serpent like dragon turned to me.

I was about to strike it down when it’s eyes grew wide as I heard a muffled shout of “CALIBURN!” as the creature literally exploded in to light.

Looking much worse for wear my enemy stood covered in the serpents gore and still missing one arm.

“So still believe I started this?”

“It doesn’t matter you would never agree to help me. I am sorry but I have to end this even if it means going through you.”

“fine CHARGE UP!” she shouted. There was only a blur and pain as I found myself on my back. Pain exploded from every part of my body as I realized she was moving at a speed even I couldn’t fallow.

All I knew was I was on the ground I think every bone of my body was broken I was in excruciating pain. “Please just stop it’s enough.” She told me.

“Ill say when it’s enough!” I shouted using my Telekinesis to move my shattered leg with enough force to raise it and thrust it forward. I shifted out of phase with the world then brought my foot back in to phase where her heart was.

She gasped and coughed as she crumpled to the ground clutching the hole in her chest I pulled my foot out sadly and looked down at the corpse of the young fox girl. “I am sorry I’ll fix this when I have taken jumpchan’s power. I promised her.

I began to turn and wipe her blood off of me when I noticed it was moving. My Senses Screamed at me that I was in danger but it was already too late.

“No I’m sorry.” I heard from behind me as I turned the blood on me was suddenly joined by a swarm of blood aiming for my mouth and nose… there was darkness then an intense pain then nothing…

I awake surrounded by blackness everywhere there was a light off in the distance and a single figure in front of me. Though she looked different from moments ago I knew exactly who she was. She was human now short, busty with red hair and green eyes. I was still on the ground but Kicked out my leg to try and sweep hers but my leg passed through her and she just sighed and rolled her eyes. I rolled to my feat and punched and kicked her again to the same effect. Then it hit me.

“Wait… I’m dead?”

“Yeah I’m sorry I didn’t want to.”

“Well sorry makes everything better doesn’t it, you have a lot of never showing up here since you’re the one who killed me. What are you even doing here?”

The other jumper just nodded grimly. “I am sorry my mom’s death in one world so I pulled some strings to be here.”

“Why did you want to mock me before you sent me to hell?”

She blink stunned and shook her head “No… nothing like that I don’t even have the power to decide where to send you I am just a psychopomp. I am just a guide.”

“Alright then why are you here?””

“I suppose I just wanted to know why? Why you hate her so much, what happened. When we fought I felt a great sadness and anger within you but you didn’t seem to be a bad person, even though you were trying to kill me.” She said sitting cross-legged on the floor.

I sat down as well “Why do you care?”

“Well maybe I think we aren’t to different, maybe if things had gone differently in a few places I might have been out for blood as well. Either way I think you have a story to tell, may as well tell it here.”

“Alright fine…” I said as I began to recant my tale. I told her of my disappointment, my shame, the fact that I thought someone was trying to help me but they only seemed interested in humiliating me for their own amusement.

She nodded and listened. “But were they really all bad times? I mean I saw the friends you made. I bet you had some fun there at certain points along the way.”

“Some of it wasn’t so bad I guess… It’s just each time that I thought finally maybe I can have adventures and start having fun I would be sent to some stupid nonsensical world, until finally she sends me to a world where I die immediately through no fault of my own.”

She nodded “I see do you still want to fight her?”

“Nah If I can’t beat you I have no chance against her.”

“Alright then let’s go back.”

“Huh?”

“Well… I mean if you really want to we can continue through the white light and you can go where ever but I don’t really think it’s meant to be your time.”

“Aren’t you the one who killed me?”

“Yeah I’m sorry after you killed me I saw no way to short of killing you to stop you.”

I sighed and shook my head. “Alright fine let’s just go.

Next thing I knew there was a white haired Brazilian guy in a red suit above me smearing white powder under my nose

“The power of Cocaine has allowed me to raise the dead.” He declared proudly. Strangely I felt great… amazing… wait cocaine?

The other jumper was near him just face palming and sighing “Why did I choose to make you the damn priest.” She muttered.

She smiled awkwardly “Umm would you mind hanging out here for a bit I have to go talk to someone.” She said. “Uhhh sure.”

“Also… you’re going to feel really shitty in a while. You might want to hang close to your companions.” She advised.
