  1. Month 2, a little sicker but still alive!! Let's wear us a fancy crown to keep out the naughty voices.
  2.
  3. ***
  4.
  5. A quaint bedroom overlooking the garden.
  6. Stepping inside this small, relatively plain bedroom, one might believe it belongs to a youth. Ikon collections have been displayed on thin wall-set shelves, and pretty stones, bug shells and picked flowers decorate various surfaces. A small wooden wind chime has been hung from a hook beside one open window, clunking softly while creating simple melodies. The fragrance of the garden wafts into this room, smelling of rich wet dirt and flowers. On the sill of the other window sits a small terrarium filled with moss and rotting wood, and a tiny death watch beetle ticks happily inside. A wooden board has been hung by the door, pinned with important news bulletins and a few lavender letters. Painting its surroundings with gentle sprays of color, a stained glass lantern glows here. A four poster bed stands here, invitingly strewn with cushions and blankets. Invitingly deep and made of warmly coloured wood, a rocker is here. Blocking out the light, a pair of forestal drapes are closed here. A large ravenwood chest rests on its side in the corner of the room, its front securely closed. A painting of Gurashi and the Faeling Princess is proudly exhibited on a nearby wall. A shimmering blue circle floats in the room here. In the shape of an open palm, a metallic sigil lies here. Curled into an amorphous mass of grey, a blubbery sea lion pup lies here, resting. A green parakeet scratches against the ground in his search for a quick meal. Leaping about after its shadow, a curious young kitten playfully wanders about here. Sturdy yet simple in design, an off-white tunic has been cast aside here. A garnet vial glitters on the ground. Completely motionless, a slender leothin intently surveys its surroundings.
  7. You see a single exit leading northeast (closed door).
  8.
  9. look me
  10. He is an ordinary human wyrden demigod. He stands a few inches short of six feet tall with a slim build. His arms and legs are lanky, square hands nervously balled into fists at his side. His sandy skin is more flushed than usual, giving him a feverish appearance. Perhaps the most noteworthy thing about him is his straight mop of fiery red hair, complete with a few strands at his part that to obey the natural laws of gravity. A pair of kind abut tired gray eyes gaze out from below red bangs, their hue striking against all the surrounding warm hues. Tattooed on his hands is an illustration of a bumblebee constellation. Wyrden flames flicker across his form like a shadowy cloak, the sweet scent of roses trailing in his wake.
  11. He is wearing:
  12. a slightly fit pair of emerald trousers which fit his figure handsomely
  13. a pink, floral-patterned picnic blanket
  14. the Fingerblade of dha'Wyrden-cree.
  15.
  16. The melodious voice of Tridemon resonates in your mind, "How are you feeling?"
  17.
  18. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters, "**Hot pinpricks creep across the back of your neck, accompanied yet again by the obnoxious buzzing** Hello."
  19.
  20. The melodious voice of Tridemon resonates in your mind, "Didn't really answer the question, but hi."
  21.
  22. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters, "**The sensation and sound returns with the voice** Oh - uh."
  23.
  24. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters, "I feel hot."
  25.
  26. The melodious voice of Tridemon resonates in your mind, "Inside of your head?"
  27.
  28. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters, "All over."
  29.
  30. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters, "My head is very full."
  31.
  32. The melodious voice of Tridemon resonates in your mind, "I could come freeze your flesh, but that seems like it'd be a bit... overreacting."
  33.
  34. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters, "Esei came by last month and tried to do healer magics, but, it was too loud."
  35.
  36. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters, "Would welcome freezing at this point - am very tired of being so very hot."
  37.
  38. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters, "**Suddenly** Oh - Dave is not a Queen."
  39.
  40. The melodious voice of Tridemon resonates in your mind, "Oh? A princess, perhaps?"
  41.
  42. You hear a couple sharp raps emanate from the oak door to the northeast.
  43.
  44. Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters, "Ah - hi, can come in."
  45. You pick up a sturdy off-white tunic.
  46.
  47. Great waves crash over one another as they pour in from the northeast, finally swirling together before solidifying into Tridemon.
  48.
  49. You have emoted: Gurashi looks up from his spot seated on the floor beside his bed. He looks up, dazed, very flushed and very sweaty, half wearing and not wearing his tunic. He tiredly flops his hand about in a wave. "Hello~".
  50.
  51. Tridemon ponders you thoughtfully, looking you up and down.
  52.
  53. Bizirik, the leothin settles down again in the doorway, tail slapping the floor happily as it looks at Tridemon. It wiggles once.
  54.
  55. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "You think that having yourself frozen would be better than the sweating right now?"
  56.
  57. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a very loud, raspy exhale. "Very... much yes," He laughs, laying his head back against his mattress. "It is not .. just sweating, it is so -hot-. I have never been so hot."
  58.
  59. You have emoted: Gurashi stares up, dazed. "It is still very loud, yes, and hurts - a lot, yes. I got a thing... but, I can't put it on."
  60.
  61. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "Can't put it on because your arms won't work?"
  62.
  63. Tridemon slings an obsidian runestone inscribed with isa and an obsidian runestone inscribed with isa at you, hitting you in the chest.
  64. You are afflicted with shivering.
  65. You are afflicted with frozen.
  66.
  67. You have emoted: Gurashi inhales sharply, breath momentarily stolen by the blast of cold. He blinks, then shudders violently, staring at Tridemon in disbelief.
  68.
  69. Bizirik, the leothin lets out a particularly amused chatter, tossing its head.
  70.
  71. You shiver violently.
  72.
  73. Dazed, you say, "...th..."
  74.
  75. Voice bright and clear, you say, "I ...do not know if this is better."
  76.
  77. Stunned, you say, "Now am hot AND cold."
  78.
  79. You stare at Tridemon, eyes wide.
  80.
  81. Tridemon ponders the situation.
  82.
  83. Tridemon twirls around in a circle, the wind lifting an embroidered mantle of flickering hope into the air as light shimmers around the mantle.
  84. You feel a halo of light surround you and feel inspired to new confidence.
  85. Tridemon's face brightens as a halo of light surrounds him.
  86.
  87. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly winces. "Anyway ... got the circlet - whole thing was an or-deal-."
  88.
  89. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "Setting you on fire would just make everything worse."
  90.
  91. Weakly, you say to Tridemon, "Please do not set me on fire."
  92.
  93. Very tired, you say to Tridemon, "Every time that even THINK about TRYING to put it on..."
  94.
  95. You have emoted: Gurashi exhales and closes his eyes. "Is worst and weirdest thing. Get all twitchy and then can't make my arms or legs do the thing."
  96.
  97. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "Drop the circlet."
  98.
  99. Suddenly, you say, "Oh no what if I bite you."
  100.
  101. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Then I'll bite back."
  102.
  103. You have emoted: Gurashi glances aside, pointing at the desk where the circlet sits among a bunch of other brick-a-brack.
  104.
  105. You drop a circlet of crystal thorns.
  106.
  107. Tridemon picks up a circlet of crystal thorns.
  108.
  109. You have emoted: Gurashi looks up at Tridemon warily.
  110.
  111. Bizirik, the leothin's happy tail slappies slowly come to a halt, and it sits down very calmly, eerily quiet.
  112.
  113. You glance askance.
  114.
  115. Quickly, you say, "Oh, shoot right."
  116.
  117. You begin to wield a cruel hunting knife in your right hand.
  118.
  119. You hurl a cruel hunting knife northeast.
  120.
  121. Your eyes raise to the heavens as a look of hope flashes across your face.
  122.
  123. You think to yourself: / What are you doing /.
  124.
  125. You glance askance.
  126.
  127. You think to yourself: Am making you be quiet, miss.
  128.
  129. Reaching out suddenly and with his hands almost a blur to force the circlet onto his head, Tridemon gives a circlet of crystal thorns to you.
  130.
  131. You twitch spasmodically.
  132.
  133. You think to yourself: / *A sudden, overpoweringly grating noise* /.
  134.
  135. You have emoted: It's so close. It's so very close - you can feel Gurashi's hair against your fingers as you shove the circlet down onto his head. But before you can let go, the man lets out a very confusing noise, and rather unexpectedly headbutts you in the stomach when you get close.
  136.
  137. You think to yourself: / Do NOT /.
  138.
  139. You think to yourself: Oh my GOSH!
  140.
  141. You think to yourself: Don't attack Tridemon!
  142.
  143. Tridemon grimaces for a moment, mostly suppressing a grunt...
  144.
  145. Tridemon points the Chromatic Rod of the Avenger at you, and sparks fly out of it.
  146. Sticky strands of webbing spray out to cover you.
  147. You are afflicted with entangled.
  148.
  149. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Stay. Down."
  150.
  151. You have emoted: Gurashi shakes his head violently, sending the circlet tumbling and rolling somewhere near the door. Bizirik stands up and backs away, making a positively awful noise as it watches from the living room.
  152.
  153. Tight bindings cling to you, making that impossible.
  154.
  155. Tridemon ponders you thoughtfully, looking you up and down.
  156.
  157. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out a surprised yelp as soon as the circlet falls again, blinking as he teeters over and falls onto his side. "Ooa - Tridemon am sorry!"
  158.
  159. You think to yourself: / *An cry like a scream, and the overwhelming desire to run* /
  160.
  161. Voice bright and clear, you exclaim, "I told you! I told you!"
  162.
  163. You begin to struggle free of your entanglement.
  164. You have writhed free of your entanglement.
  165.
  166. Tridemon points the Chromatic Rod of the Avenger at you, and sparks fly out of it.
  167. Sticky strands of webbing spray out to cover you.
  168. You are afflicted with entangled.
  169.
  170. You have emoted: Gurashi wriggles violently, freeing himself of the first set of webbing with ease. But the second time catches him by surprise, and he falls to the floor again, breathing heavily.
  171.
  172. You think to yourself: / *Frantic now, clawing at the skin from the inside - get away, get AWAY* /
  173.
  174. Desperate, already trying to break free, you exclaim, "Do it do it do it!"
  175.
  176. Beads of sweat break out on your face.
  177.
  178. A green parakeet says, "Birdy wanna cracker! Birdy wanna cracker." <-- perfect tension
  179.
  180. You think to yourself: / *The din subsides suddenly. The voice comes quick, desperate* Wait, don't - /.
  181.
  182. Tridemon swings a dazzling white staff crowned by a platinum pearl with all his might, smashing it into your head with a resounding ring.
  183. You are afflicted with stun.
  184.
  185. Reaching out again after bashing you in the face with his fancy new staff to stun you a bit to make sure you stay down, shoving the circlet roughly into place, Tridemon gives a circlet of crystal thorns to you.
  186.
  187. You have emoted: Gurashi sees the staff incoming, and makes a concerned face in the split second before the staff comes down on his head, stunning him. As you thrust the circlet firmly down over his head and make sure it is secure, he suddenly spasms violently, as if every muscle in his body were protesting the barrier.
  188.
  189. You think to yourself: / --*A sound like metal grinding to a halt* gah-- /.
  190.
  191. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... If you start shaking it off, I'm going to hit you some more."
  192.
  193. Through gritted teeth, you say, "AhhhhNil--" And just as suddenly, the spasm passes, and he falls still save for his heaving chest. "...please do not hi..t .. me again."
  194.
  195. Placing a circlet of crystal thorns atop your head, you sense a psionic field rise about you.
  196.
  197. You think to yourself: / *The din immediately becomes a dull background roar, less chaotic and jarring, but still present* /.
  198.
  199. You think to yourself: / ....iso ... /.
  200.
  201. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Success! ... And only a slight amount of potential brain damage from a concussion."
  202.
  203. Tridemon nods his head sagely.
  204.
  205. You have emoted: Gurashi stays sprawled face-down on his floor, dazed. "Wouldn't ... wouldn't it be funny if after all that, you hitting me on head broke my brain thing again..." He grins, exhausted.
  206.
  207. Smile waning, you say, "The meanest prank."
  208.
  209. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Well, I needed to make sure you weren't about to headbutt me in the stomach again. ... did that hurt more or less than ramming your head into the wall hard enough to dent it?"
  210.
  211. You have emoted: Gurashi winces. "... actually, a lot more." He weakly raises a hand, touching the quickly swelling knot on his head. He rolls onto his side, then his back with great effort.
  212.
  213. Draping an arm over his eyes, you say to Tridemon, "Owe you like, seven hundred kindnesses now, Tridemon. Wowee."
  214.
  215. Tridemon shrugs slightly, and reaches out with one hand to the knot where the staff slammed into your head, and concentrates for a moment. His hand becomes quite cold as he places it on the swelling, though not quite ice-cold. Much more comfortable than being frozen.
  216.
  217. Bizirik, the leothin takes a tentative step inside, sniffing the air. It still keeps a safe distance of a few feet, but looks much less uncomfortable, tail still slapping the floor lightly. Gurashi winces at the initial touch from your hand, then leans into it, letting out a grateful sigh.
  218.
  219. You think to yourself: / *The chittering roar dampens slightly with the sound of running water* /.
  220.
  221. Eyes closed and head tilted into your hand, you say, "This is much nicer than being frozen."
  222.
  223. Bizirik, the leothin thrums pleasantly.
  224.
  225. Tridemon nods his head sagely.
  226.
  227. Tridemon continues to emanate that chillness from his hand. "Probably significantly more effective at handling a fever, too."
  228.
  229. You have emoted: Gurashi opens his eyes and stares down into his lap, still wickedly hot to the touch.
  230. "Yeah..." He blinks a couple times, tears springing up in the corners of his eyes. "...that is ... a lot better now," He looks up at Tridemon, smiling toothily, tiredly. "Many thank yous."
  231.
  232. Tridemon ponders the situation.
  233.
  234. Tridemon spins slowly around in a circle and water bubbles up from the ground, flooding the area.
  235. Tridemon stretches out his hand, intently focused as he murmurs ancient words of power. Sprays of ocean mist and surges of seawater accompany the ascent of a towering glacier as it rises to dominate the area at his behest.
  236.
  237. You have emoted: Gurashi lets out another grateful sigh, talking quietly. "How are you? How was your last month? I definitely do not remember anything from last month."
  238.
  239. You blink.
  240.
  241. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "Oh, it went... alright, I suppose. Didn't find the Liar to speak to them."
  242.
  243. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "You can try hugging the glacier, I suppose..."
  244.
  245. Waves crash together, sending gouts of salt spray up into the air.
  246. A current of warm water flows past you, the soothing warmth easing your pains and healing your wounds.
  247. An invigorating sea breeze carries restorative mists around Tridemon.
  248.
  249. You have emoted: Gurashi's eyes widen at the sudden appearance of water inside his normally very not-wet bedroom. He marvels at it for a while, eyes wide and mouth agape. Behind him Bizirik is sticking her face in the water and happily blowing bubbles with its snout.
  250.
  251. In quiet disbelief, you say, "Water magics are incredible."
  252.
  253. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Pretty good for cooling down a room, too."
  254.
  255. You stare at Tridemon, eyes wide.
  256.
  257. You have emoted: Gurashi looks around one last time before letting his gaze settle on Tridemon again. His chin quivers, and suddenly he leans forward, engulfing you in a hug.
  258.
  259. Tridemon blinks.
  260.
  261. Muffled, you say to Tridemon, "Many thank yous."
  262.
  263. Tridemon awkwardly pats you on the back while being hugged. "You're quite welcome. ... Sorry about the whole shieldstun thing."
  264.
  265. You have emoted: Gurashi shakes his head quickly, still hanging on. "Am grateful for it."
  266.
  267. Tridemon peers about himself unscrupulously.
  268.
  269. You have emoted: Gurashi finally lets go, sniffing.
  270.
  271. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "I'm just going to assume you don't want deep water in here."
  272.
  273. You have emoted: Gurashi quickly shakes his head. "O-oh, uhm," He looks around, "No! This is fine! This is magical as is! And it is so cool!" He pauses. "In looks and temperature yes."
  274.
  275. Tridemon reaches over and ruffles your hair with a fond expression.
  276.
  277. Tridemon ponders the situation.
  278.
  279. You have emoted: Gurashi both flinches at grins at the gesture, swaying. "Still feel very hot, but not as hot - and, it is a lot less loud. Mean is still kind of loud, but is much much much more manageable like before."
  280.
  281. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Maybe don't tell Xenthos about getting tied up and beaten about the head."
  282.
  283. You blink.
  284.
  285. Voice bright and clear, you say to Tridemon, "Eh? Oh."
  286.
  287. You have emoted: Gurashi suddenly bites his lip, suppressing a laugh.
  288.
  289. An invigorating sea breeze carries restorative mists around Tridemon.
  290.
  291. Voice bright and clear, you say to Tridemon, "Xenthos is very good at removing heads of things... and... peoples... but I would not let him behead you for helping me, oh no."
  292.
  293. You shake your head.
  294.
  295. Leaning against his bed, you say to Tridemon, "You have done me a great big service."
  296.
  297. Bizirik, the leothin thrums softly again as it pulls its head out of the water, splashing about in its spot and looking towards Tridemon with a snort.
  298.
  299. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to you, "Hopefully it'll help you be less stabby toward Esei."
  300.
  301. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "... And Bizirik looks better, too."
  302.
  303. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Who's a cute little lizard-cat-dog-thingie? You are!"
  304.
  305. You have emoted: Gurashi nods several times. "Did not stab Mixter Esei when they visited last month - but, also did not have much energy to do anything so..."
  306.
  307. Bizirik, the leothin chirps happily, making a wide berth around Gurashi to get to Tridemon, where the leothin buries its head affectionately against the lucidian's chest, rumbling with joy.
  308.
  309. You stare blankly into space.
  310.
  311. Voice bright and clear, you say, "Is not so loud ... I ... don't know why she still does not want to be near."
  312.
  313. Watching the leothin nuzzle Tridemon more, you say, "Am sorry that hurt you with big brain stuffs, but you are hurting my feelings."
  314.
  315. Bizirik, the leothin leans on Tridemon seeking consolation.
  316.
  317. Bizirik, the leothin inches bashfully over to Tridemon and nuzzles him tenderly.
  318.
  319. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to Bizirik, the leothin, "If I get you shrimp, will you go cuddle Gurashi?"
  320.
  321. Bizirik, the leothin side-eyes Gurashi, then huffily turns its head again, the noisy slapping of its tail on the floor betraying any real anger it might be feeling.
  322.
  323. You have emoted: Gurashi frowns, wringing his hands together. "It is O-K Tridemon, she will come around."
  324.
  325. You think to yourself: / Will she though? /.
  326.
  327. You blanch suddenly.
  328.
  329. Tridemon reaches over and ruffles your hair with a fond expression.
  330.
  331. Tridemon reaches over and ruffles Bizirik, the leothin's hair fondly.
  332. Bizirik, the leothin stares blankly at Tridemon. After a moment its tail lifts once then thumps back against the ground with potential delight.
  333.
  334. Bizirik, the leothin lifts its head suddenly, still pressed against you as it makes eye contact with you. And for a moment, you feel someone else present. But the feeling fades quickly, and the leothin's tail begins to slap against the ground again at a much slower pace.
  335.
  336. You think to yourself: / *The formerly muffled din begins anew, grinding, clicking...* /.
  337.
  338. You blink.
  339.
  340. Wide eyed, you say, "Well, that is concerning."
  341.
  342. Tridemon ponders the situation.
  343.
  344. Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says to Bizirik, the leothin, "You have been a very patient little lady. And Gurashi has been a very brave and somewhat bulky bug."
  345.
  346. You slump down dejectedly.
  347.
  348. Voice bright and clear, you ask, "Brave?"
  349.
  350. You boggle at Tridemon.
  351.
  352. Voice bright and clear, you say to Tridemon, "Have been holed up in manse for two months... uuwah."
  353.
  354. Bizirik, the leothin stares at Tridemon as it pulls away, tail slapping the ground very happily.
  355.
  356. Bizirik, the leothin wiggles with excitement at all this praise, glowing eyes widening, looking like it's grinning.
  357.
  358. Tridemon very slowly reaches out with one hand... and pokes Bizirik right on the end of her nose. "Boop." He says, sounding very serious.
  359.
  360. Bizirik, the leothin lets out the tiniest of gasps, its secondary hands flying up, tiny little paws splayed in surprise.
  361.
  362. You stare blankly into space.
  363.
  364. Bizirik, the leothin dramatically flops onto the ground in front of Tridemon half a second later, splashing about in the temporary aquameld. "She loves you for this," Gurashi laughs. Though he still is flushed, he is significantly less so than before, his eyes a little brighter. Still looks tired as heck.
  365.
  366. Bizirik, the leothin leans on Tridemon seeking consolation.
  367.
