The Symphony of the Night

Sanguinius dismissed the Word Bearer`s incessant chant to the cultists and marines. Such a war would not have started were it based on such basic things such as religion. He had started not to serve the Dark Gods, but use them as a tool in his fight against the man who would find fit to drain humanity of their spirit and nature.

The truth was already revealed to him, when he laid defeated in the blood and corpses of his sons, struck by a foul blade poisoned with the painful visions of reality. It was something far greater than the simple visions of a deranged zealot like his sister Loraine: Humanity itself was going to end, undone by the hands of a man who would dare to proclaim himself as a god. Who would strip all that makes men themselves in the name of his vision of ascension. The Angel saw the future, the endless praises in his father name, the sea of prayers directed to the one who not see a person for what they are, but simply a tool to be used in name of progress for the sake of progress.

He could not allow the people that he fought, no, he had shed blood for, to be used in the plans of a deranged lunatic. He will end mankind in his own terms, allowing each man to fight freely in the noblest cause of them all, their humanity itself. He is the one who will guide mankind to it`s victory against the alien threat, utilizing the tools his father fears in order to guarantee victory. He will never be a coward, hiding behind generals and men, seeing them simply as the barrier between himself and the enemy, not caring for the spirit and love and ambition inside each one of them. The angel will fight alongside his troops, face all who challenge him. His father forgets, he and his siblings were human, their sons human, and all the people they fought for human! Not a simple vessel to be used to make an ego flourish, a medium to make yourself a god!

He and his angels will prove to Emperor that gods are nothing, he will use their power and subjugate them. The Galaxy will burn, and it will be on mankind's terms, not in the vision of one man who forgets what it means to be Human! A fight for your choices, your own freedom!

That`s why he let`s his sister`s zealots run around, show men that there are paths beyond those set by the Emperor, why he allows the Lion to hold his deranged perversions, why let Magna`s love of sorcery deepen. They all have made their choice, and will end up by their own desires.

Each men who follows him in battle will do so by their own choice, by what they believe in. Each battlefield will be where conviction faces conviction, a clash between service to one`s self and one`s master. So no matter how many men he slays, how much blood he sheds, each drop will flow along his self-made path.

So when his father lays dead on the ground, he cares not for the future, as then humanity will then be free to follow their own ways, their own path. He has gathered troops, his brothers, all of those who would care to fight in the name of humanity, against a threat who looms over them all, a man who proclaims himself loving and who cares not about his own spawn. He cares not about the tools used, the means against the end. Only that when all is done, the moment mankind sheds it`s last blood, it will march to the eternal night alongside the symphony of it`s own desire.

Driven away from is inner thought`s by the marine, Sanguinius decided to hear the last part of the Zealot`s speech, the only part he actually had faith in.
