- data storage:
- Long term data storage where space efficiency counts, should do around 300MB sequential read/write.

- Primarily used for incoming data files, two dozen low activity virtual machines and Windows 7 client bigger storage. Performance should be OKish with 2 striped 2TB disks and 2 striped 1TB disks.
- client OS / VM OS:
- Used for Windows client booting and virtual machine booting, is pair of mirrored SSD.
