a poem to myself from 2018

You think that wearing blizzard hats will protect you from the cold,
But you smoke a lot of weed, and never do what you are told,
you think that everything that's fresh will eventually be stale,
because everything that works will eventually fail,
you think everyone that likes you actually hates you,
but you get along with Merre, and I think that's nice.
