- A pyre of eternal fire would keep her warmth for the time being, while Trillie contemplated to the voice of her accursed arm. The winds of Frostvale were unrelenting, and any safehaven from the walls would not be viable until the blizzards cleared out. Already she regret coming out into the frozen tundra in hopes of finding someone who could teach her cryomancy. . . Alas, she was stuck in this place with herself, a wardrobe of winter clothing, and an accursed arm to keep her company.
- 'Ya know, for a kid, ye sure are stupid ya know that? Brilliant idea comin' out into the tundra like this.', the tenebrous voice chidered through her head.
- "Yeah, I know. . . it sounded like a good idea at the time. Now I just wanna go home."
- 'I sure am hungry ya know? Eating sounds good doesn't it?'
- "It does. . .", she deadpanned, contemplating at the pyres that stood infront of her. The razored talons that once stood as her fingers, flexing to savor their mobility while the heat still remained true.
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- Saifex's goal for the day was relatively over, all he needed now was a magi license check and a sparring partner, and he'd be pretty much finished for the day. Though, such wasn't as easy as one would assume. There weren't many Nivisman about that he hadn't sparred already, leaving him with very few choices. Kentayo seemed to delay his challenge, perhaps out of fear of his own loss? Saifex could only lean on assumptions.
- Eyes shifted about as he began to extend his patrols for the training grounds and beyond, into the wilderness of Frostvale. Eventually, a small fire came across his gaze, reflected in his serpentine hues with a minor obstruction idling in it's warmth.
- From a distance, it appeared to be nothing more than a young child, out in the cold, against all the odds of nature and wild-life itself.
- Curious, Saifex encroached, "You there!" He called out, keeping it casual, with hands sinking into his pockets.
- "What brings you way out here? Lost, kiddie?"
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- The outcry of a voice steered the direction of Trillie's head to its source, a voice that wasn't the one that bothered her every-so-often. Maurice as she likes to call it.
- The view seemed to obscure itself under the thick haze of the unrelenting Frostvale winters. It was an oddity to find someone juxtapose to herself out in the frigid airs of the north, she just assumed she was an exception -- if not crazy enough to do so. But then again, the very foundations of the city of dragons was built upon the natural defenses provided from nature itself.
- An inquiry of her wherabouts is given by some unclear figure, not too sure of how to respond so a stranger out in the wilds like this; he could be some sort of bandit or imperfect yokai for all she knew.
- Then again, she did bear quite an abominable intrumentation of a limb herself. . . and not so consipicuous at that. She didn't pay much attention to that little detail, knowing that the people of Danarium usually didn't give it much thought, but other people might not be so lenient.
- "Kinda."
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- Saifex slowed down drastically as his eyes set sight upon the accursed arm, raising a brow at it at first, only to give a wince at the grotesque sight. It wasn't something one beheld everyday, nor something he'd expected to see ever again.
- He could imagine why she was far out here now, and wouldn't complain to others, as to why a child with such a mutation ended up out here... Though, he was still held to a standard; Something that he needed to uphold if he was to be glorified in Frostvale anytime in the future.
- By now, one could gaze upon his Anguis Tier Nivis apparel; A tall Drakanite, with chocolate skin, with juxtaposing emerald pupils, portraying his draconic background vividly. Adoring the Tsuchi cape, one with knowledge of Frostvale's nobility would come to recognize this individual as a Tsuchi.
- "Perhaps... " He hesitated to continue onward, "You want to find an Inn in the city? Where you won't freeze to death?"
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- 'Ah. . . one of those lizards, little Trillie. He looks like a mongrel fit for punishment doesn't he?'
- "No. . . shut up! I didn't talk to you!", she protested against the voice, however, possibly confusing the Tsuchi as if it were the response to his question; unintended as it may be. And upon this realization, her head quickly shot back towards the choclate-skinned pureblood with a palpable resignation.
- "Sorry. . . that was Maurice.", she tried to clarify with some embarassment intoned, a nervous scratch of her head with her one good arm.
- "Yeah. . . Inn. . . city. . . That would be nice, yes."
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- Saifex was wierded out somewhat, and tilted his head in correspondence to such outburst. He didn't understand why someone would want to stay out in the cold by themself, but he wasn't too worried if they were seemingly capable of fending for themself, especially if they were a non-drakanite... Atleast, as far as he was concerned, she wasn't one until proven otherwise.
- He was turning his back on her already, bringing rise to his right arm as he obliged to the unintentional bark back towards him.
- "Alright, not my problem." He responded cold-heartedly, prepared to dismiss her altogether. Though, an apology crossed his ears, slowing him to a stop, and turning him around with mild confusion.
- ". . . . There's. . . " He started to scan about, to find no one else idling nearby, unless she was referring to an imaginary friend or someone hiding about in the snow, or nearby trees.
- "No one here..." He stated, drifting to silence....
- "...If you want to go to the city, simply follow me. It's alot better than sitting out here, is all I'm saying."
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- She wasn't one to usually decline such a generous offer, and so she would wholeheartedly concede to an exit from this treacherous blizzard. Hoisting herself from the gravelly presipice of the snow with the shambling monstrosity of her right arm, her feet would stride and seemingly push away the thick carpet of snow that stood underneath as if aided by some sort of arcana pertaining to it.
- Walking up to the pureblood, she would simply nod.
- "Yeah, c'mon, let's go."
- Phrased more as if it were intended for someone other than Saifex.
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- Back turned towards Trille and journey towards Frostvale underway, he couldn't help but wonder what that was all about. What was he dealing with half-consciously? He was feeling more obligated to check on it as he approached Frostvale's gates, not to mention the disturbing sight of an arm she bared. It gave him reason to shudder with digust...
- Eventually, he slowed down, not quite making it past the gates, and outright stalling in the midst of the empty road, that would lead to the Vitani manor had they turned back on it, and started the short pace.
- "...Kid? I'm getting the vibe, that I should probably ask for identification." He started, pivoting around with mild worry of what he was going to witness.
- He's never seen a Malpercian before, and thus, the possibilities were endless. Though the ambiguity would die, should his request be furfilled.
- "I'm going to request of your magi certificate for proof of registration." He stated bluntly, as he faced the child to inspect the arm once more.
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- Magi license. . . Trillie swore she heard that term before. Never was it really requested of her, but she would have to take upon that on a later date. She knew not how to respond to this, since he appeared to deem it as something important, or at least of some importance given the name 'license'.
- She shook her head in response.
- "I dunno what that is. . .", she clarified as her eyes shy away from the Drakanite.
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- "Hrm. Well, it's something magi get to show they are a registered individual. The Empire requires it of everyone, and Frostvale is no exception. My job is to ensure all unknown personas are registered as well, to ensure terrorists and criminals can be identified... This means, that even innocent people like you and I, have to be registered." He went on, somewhat feeling at ease with the fact that nothing was going wrong just yet.
- "...Judging from that arm, I'm assuming you're either a magi, a magi's experiment, or something else... I can't be too sure, but it's definitely byfar the most outlandish thing I've laid my eyes upon to-date. Because of such, I'm going to need to ensure you're registered." He pressed on, backpedalling further into the city with a beckoning arm.
- "If you won't mind, follow me, so that I may register you and have your information filled out, that way you won't have to be arrested by another Nivisman whom isn't as.... Merciful."
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- "Hrm. . ."
- Her lips purse to the side. She listened to what he had to say, if not for learning what she could about these 'licenses'. And knowing the shady workings of her intitutions and family, being monitored did not exactly sit well with her. All things considered, she didn't need people knowing of her arcana, or much about her for that matter. Her infamy was already solidified by her cursed bloodline, hence her excursion out into the Frostvalian north.
- 'Follow him? Get -registered-? Don't be stupid, girl. This man is probably a crook out to identify who you really are. Do you really want the entire populace figuring about the abomination you exist as? Send him to hell! He doesn't need to know about your arm, he has no right!'
- "No. . . you're right. I can't.", she validated the horrid voice that panged through her mind. Her voice, dully noting Saifex, but still carrying a respectful tone to it.
- "Sorry mister. . . no go. I have to get back to my family in Danarium."
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- Saifex was rather confused, but overall grew suspicious of this sudden shift in attitude. Once sitting out alone in the wilderness, then accepting aid to go to the village, only to deny and mention Danarium?... In an entirely different region?...Not to mention the oddity that was her arm, and her speech to a non-existant persona; As far as he could tell she was either a young lunatic, or hiding something.
- "Registration is required by law, not simply by Frostvale, but by Danarium, Nostvale, TIlandre.... All of the cities under the Empire. If it's not me to get it written down, it'll be someone else. Now, if you aren't going to come with me, perhaps I can just ask you a few questions and you'll be on your way, okay?" He was persistent on getting her registered, even if it took an alternative approach.
- "How about we start this over... I am Saifex Tsuchi, of Frostvale." He knelt down to meet her ranks, in hopes that his hieght wouldn't shy her away more than she already appeared to be. "I'm a Drakanite and practice my natural arcane... Fire.... Now, your turn." He egged on.
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- Lunatic, shady individual, all of these things could be said to carry some sort of truth about the young Malpercian. Dilligent would be so as well, even if she was but a child. It was not that she was a prodigious individual of any sort, but a clever wit to keep one safe was of the essence in these sticky situations. For she knew, that if anyone knew about her direct descendance to such an infamous bloodline, scrutiny would be the only thing to await her in the end.
- 'He's trying to play you, girl. This knave is nothing but a lizard -and- a snake! Heed to his questions truthfully, and I will only laugh at your disfortune.'
- Her head shook in response to the man, and the arm seemingly waving him off to its own volition.
- Strange.
- "I already said no. . . I'm not dumb you know. I'll get registered when I get back home. . . ya know, when I talk to somebody I trust. I shouldn't be talking to strangers."
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- Saifex blinked, not quite sure how to make this out.
- "All travelers and residents that find themselves in Frostvale's territory are required by it's law to be registered." He replied in a serious tone, not so pressed to reach for his crossbow at the sight of a little girl, but motivated to keep his eye on the arm she beared.
- "So, if you won't simply comply...." He paused, rather hesitant to really admit it.
- "I... Am sorry, but I have to put you into a cell, until you decide to do so." He felt rather bad about the whole idea of it all to a minor extent. Even if she wasn't a Drakanite, one could still take up -some- degree in mercy, rather than outright punish, but it -was- the law... And he wanted a promotion. Out of selfishness, he only pushed his point onward.
- "Please don't force me to drag you to the prison, kid. It's not worth simply writing your name, practiced magic, race and homeland on a piece of paper."
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- A slight furrow became of her face as the fingers of her arm flexed together. The sharp blades that could be considered her "fingers" began to glow an eerie occult presence, albeit not showing any true hostile intent.
- Yet.
- "You're not going to lock me up. . . I'm a princess, and you have no right!", she spoke out with an elevated tone.
- 'Yeah yeah! You tell him!', the voice encouraged further, having the young Trillie take it to heart unconsciously.
- It seemed like this man was just going to play against her wishes, and pry on about this license. And if it so came to that, she would have no other choice but to defend herself.
- Hopefully he would sense she didn't mean well when she said no meant no.
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- He sighed, rather reluctant to the whole idea of having to put down a mere kid. She was a mere prepubescent girl, whom didn't seem to be in the right state of mind. He didn't feel right using a crossbow, so he simply reached out for her, cautious for what was to follow, was he not too careful. Did she have concealed weaponry on her? He couldn't tel-
- Something caught his eye! The grotesque abomination that took up her arm, had what he could percieve as talons. Blade-like in appearance, and likely capable of slicing into his flesh, should she act rebellious.
- "As an Anguis, serving Frostvale's law to those whom reside and traverse within it, I have -full- right, child." He reached out to grab at her shoulder, hoping it wouldn't be taken up as intent to harm her.
- "Don't make this harder than it needs to be, kid. I -really- don't want to do this."
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- A short growl came from the young girl as the clawed appendage swat away the Tsuchi that deigned himself fit to place a hand upon his shoulder. Perhaps an ire that wasn't so genuine -- but rather -- something that sparked against her will, as even reluctance was shortly shown after the growl. The culprit could very easily be pointed to the powerful miasma of yokai taint that drove her into a frenzy of violent tendencies, sprawling about her frame in flickering lukewarm tendrils.
- It took an experienced occultist to resist the urges brought forth by the usage of darkness, but Trillie was not one of them. If that arm wasn't added to the equation, than perhaps she wouldn't be so driven to act out against a superior higher-up like she normally would. She usually wasn't one to undermine authority, after all.
- "Leave me alone you big bully! Let me go or I'll. . . I'll have to. . ."
- 'Eat him~? Hehehehe.'
- "No. . . not that. . . I'll kick your butt! And then you'll be real sorry! So just stop bothering me!"
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- The suddenly transformation of a scene so hieghtened with potentially was now so hopelessly agitated, descending into the endless freefall of conflict that would never leave the land. As of now, it didn't matter to Saifex if this was a child, for the magus capabilities opened up many possibilities. He knelt only to leap back, hoping to gain some distance between the two, with eyes unmoving from the Malpercian.
- "You're forcing me to get violent. If I have to put down a child, whom would condone to it, I will." He announced, sliding his right leg back to assert a solid combative stance. Though, he refused to make out any further ascensions...
- There was no half-shift transformation, nor flames to shroud his being, for he still felt as though this was a child, and didn't deserve his all-out potential, though, he'd still take up the task of dispatching her in as quick of time as possible.
- "Stand down, and simply get registered, and this won't have to get rough."
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- The words 'put down' didn't sit well with the Malpercius, or the voice she dubbed Maurice. She could only equate this to some sort of death-declaration. . . and whether or not it was actually intended to be taken like that, she took it to heart as a threat to her life. And that alone gave her enough incentive to use her own arcana against him.
- A myriad of tools to be used at her disposal, as the snow about quickly amassed itself into aqueous tendril that slithered about her body. The frozen winds of the north would be quick to heed to her will, as an adeptly powerful torrent of gales swiveled and buckled to her form. All elements beckon to her will, as even the whimsical of her arm forced itself under her -- and if inspected closely enough, would be noticed that most of the mana conjuring said elements was coming from the monstrous limb.
- Its growth, and its urges were only accelerated by the excessive use of yokai magic that she exerted forth into the battle. To her, it was a gift of Mordred the Perfect, to Saifex, it was nothing but a young child adept in the workings of occultism.
- "Y-you're not going to kill me! I won't let you! You're evil! EVIL! Just leave me alone!"
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- The Tsuchi wasted no time in sprinting up to close the distance between himself and the Malpercian child, however, constantly attempted to incapacitate her without serious harm, albeit difficult to condone to with such a destructive element.
- "You forced my hand kid!" He flailed his arms out for his target, gritting his teeth in concentration, superheating the internal tissues beneath the surface of the skin to leave them singed. One was likely to be experiencing a mild headache, accompanied with a lucid sensation that warped around the entire body, leaving one uncertain of movement, and directing it accordingly.
- The fires that were surged throughout the scene were directed around his target to ensnare her, as he attempted to hold her down with a constant overheating of the bloodstream. Little knowledge over the medical field, was enough for him to practice this effectively, but he could only hold her down for so long.
- "Stop now, there's still a chance we can get this done without you seeing a prison cell."
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- The powerful searing sensations began to overcome the young Malpercian once again. . . it reminded her of the time she was hit by that acidic substance from the plantine creatures back in Danarium; which was not too long ago in fact. However, she was still kicking despite those horrid sensations that throbbed through her body.
- She wanted the pain to end, and it was quite evidenced by the tears that steamlined down her face. Though only seeming to worsen things as the tears left an incredible frozen sensation onto her face, nearly crystallizing upon contact with the frigid Frostvale air.
- "O-owie. . . j-just stop! I wanna go home!", she protested even further as her clawed appendage extended forward, aiming straight at the towering Drakan to shoot forth a powerful gust of wind to knock him off his feet. This would soon be followed by a barrage of other deadly arcana.
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- The fight was far from one-sided, leaving Saifex from achieving an easy-win. This child was fighting harder than other Nivisman did during their sparring sessions!
- The bubbles she fabricated smashed hard against the barriers of flame constructed to his defense, to little avail. Sprinting to close the distance at one-point, left him victimized to an on-coming pillar of aquamancy, piercing into his armor, and hurdling him meters away.
- Winds torrented around his person, tormenting him much like a persona he knew for too long, an old rival: Joseph Glacier.
- The aspiring ice magi that proved to best him time and time again, up until recently seemed to show up in this Malpercian child, earning his distaste.
- "For Ryujin's sake... Stop... RESISTING!" He flailed his right arm across his person, forging a wall of flame, comparable to a tangerine tsunami. The 'waters' hushed through the air, replacing the ambience of the once-calm wintry breeze with it's own rumble across the frosted earth, engulfing the poor child as it collapsed, washing over the lands only to settle, leaving all aflame for the seconds to pass.
- One could squirm at it's bite, and thankfully succumb to the grace of it's sudden submission at Saifex's volition, but never undo the scorching sensation that took up their person. It didn't guarantee 3rd degree burns, due to the control exercised, but such wasn't guaranteed given his final lash in anger. He wasted no time encroaching on the fallen girl, turning her over to handcuff her with mana-inhibitor cuffs, finding some difficulty in cuffing Sacrifice effectively.
- He had reason to be worried... A mere child had the power to siphon his lifeforce away, or atleast come relatively close, given the difference in power between her and the common child to wander Frostvale. She was most definitely an anamoly, and something to be investigated further into.
- "I'm going to take you to the cells, and then we'll talk." He mentioned, hoping that she was perhaps, still awake.
- Without further ado, he took up the deed of lifting her over his shoulder, and starting on his way to the Barracks, where he'd accompany Trillie, in hopes of questioning the child.
- "If you can hear me... Know that this is probably a misunderstanding. I'm not too keen on imprisoning kids, so I'll let you out, as soon as you tell me a few things, so we can clear this all up, okay?"
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- It was easier said that done, Trillie was flopped. Indeed, Trillie proved a formidable foe in the eyes of Saifex, but in the end, it wasn't enough. Defeat is never a victory, and that is all that mattered, as obvious as that statement may appear. He did an excellent job at fending of her blows, as much as she fended off his flames. . . but it was his raw power that stood out, and that power alone that won him their strife. Skill mattered naught if it was in the hands of someone inferior in pure arcana.
- But then again. . . she was just a child. And for a child, it could be said she put up quite a good fight indeed. That would let her rest a little bit easy, as she plopped face down onto the snowy blanket that stood below her, giving her somewhat of a cushion. Luckily, Saifex knew better than to leave an unconscious child laden in these unrelenting winter conditions.
- And so she was carried off into the distance, to be locked up like a prisoner. Hopefully untormented by the other guards and inmates, as the voice was already doing a damn good job at that.
- 'You despicable failure. . . you digust me, girl. All you ever do is lose and lose. . . when will the meal ever be reaped?'
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- (One IC Day later)
- Cold, damp, wet. . . these weren't conditions that would meet the young Malpercian's usual standards of living. She was princess! How could they lock her up in this place like some sort of animal? She was terrified, angered, worried, and nothing she could do about it for that matter. She was stuck to fester about in the confines of the stone cold masonry of a Frostvalian prison.
- 'Stupid lizards aren't they Trillie? Stupid. . . stupid. . . lizards. How could they possibly slam you into such unforgiving conditions like this? Unacceptable is it not?'
- "I know, Maurice. I just. . . need some time alone."
- 'What do you mean, girl? We're here all to ourselves, are we not? All these inmates sure do look quite. . . savory. You should go at it.'
- "No, that'll only make things worse. I just need somebody to get me out of here."
- And the monologue with herself continued on, with that wretched voice of a personification she was not exactly all that aware of. To any onlookers, they would just see a girl murmuring and whispering to seemingly nothing.
- Weird kid.
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- The clap of metallic footsteps against the stone flooring encroached upon Trillie's cell, soon revealed to be the very same persona that placed the Malpercian in the cell in the first place.
- It had only been a few hours, thankfully enough, since she was set into the cell. In the time being, he took up the opportunity to heal up, clean up, and meet her up by the metallic bars that divided them apart.
- He gave a rather sympathetic gaze through the bars, finding some reason to understand her fear or sadness induced by this scenario, but was it not for the best of not only herself, but others' safety?
- "Kid, you alright?" He spoke out, resting his right hand upon the metal bars and leaning in to attempt peering further into her cell.
- "I can let you out today, if you answer my questions. I'll even escort you where you want or need to be, if neccessary." He added, hoping it'd be enough to earn -some- trust; He wanted to attempt setting something right, after the incident that occured the day prior.
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- Of course she couldn't expect to be left sitting out of all of the world's affairs for the rest of her life hither in the Frostvalian prison. However, she knew quite well what the man meant by 'questions', and promptly ignores at her own alacrity. Even Athena -- the woman who had shown her nothing but to be kindly -- did not know of her name, nor did she intend for her to know. But if the shambling abomination of her arm, or the lavender eyes did not give it out, it wouldn't be too hard to distinguish her from the acursed, and quite infamous bloodline of the Malpercius.
- It was quite stange of her to be so reserved about her name, with the arm being a dead givaway. But she did not find any place to sympathize or warm up to this man, even if he had been so kind as to lead her out of the frozen tundra of the north when he had no real obligation to do so.
- 'Ignore the lizard, girl. Wait until your family inevitably comes to your aid yes?'
- "Sure. . .", she responded to the voice; though perhaps confusing the Tsuchi once again, as if it were intended for them.
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- Saifex was indeed fooled, smiling back whole heartedly with an approving nod, "Good!" He, notioned to the jail warden, whom took up the deed of unlocking the prison door, and sending in a single Tiro to approach Trillie with the handcuff keys in hand.
- "Before we let you go, I simply need a name, your home village and the magics you practice... I already put down wind, and occultism, but any others you practice would be appreciated." He backed up from the bars somewhat to take out a clipboard he had prepared, papers all-set and prepped to be written upon. A pen quill was within his grasp, and it was already set in motion with emerald hues set upon the girl.
- "So, how about it?"
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- Her attention was diverted yet again by that same voice she loathed. Lavender hues, drifting with idle abandon as they set upon the Tsuchi, somewhat confused. And upon the realization that she may have confused the man, her clawed hand raised itself as if did to its own volition.
- "Sorry, I wasn't--. . . sorry. No, go away.", she responded with hesitance at every turn, as if she were trying to think out every single spoken word. Perhaps out of the realization she would've sounded crazy if she told him it was a voice in her head. Even if she did it already. . .
- They might think she's crazy! We wouldn't want that to happen now, would we?
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- The Nivisman whom approached her with the keys of her freedom slowed down, and even backed away. Saifex didn't blame him, something like this was an oddity at the very least. He too felt uneasy at the whole ordeal, and was beginning to wonder why this had to carry the difficullty that it harbored.
- "Go away? I'm trying to help you, kid. You're not getting out until you, or someone else gives me information to prove you're registered, or you give me the information needed to register you, and then you're home free."
- "Odds are, if you decided to run away for Danarium like you stated prior, we'll never meet again. I'll get back to my usual works, and you get on with your life. It's the empire's will, not mine... I'm just forced to take up the deeds it demands." He stated with some reluctance.
- If it wasn't obvious by now, he wasn't too fond on the idea of being an expendable pawn to the Empire. It was clearly hinted by his tone when mentioning it, but he had responsibilities to take up, for his own likelihood.
- He paused to give the scenario some thought... Perhaps... This girl -wasn't- in the right state of mind. He'd come to notice the paradigm sustain for some time now. Perhaps she needed a more psychological approach? Though, Saifex was far from specialized in said field.
- "...Are you okay?"
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- 'He's asking you're ok! Isn't he just -adorable-? Such a stupid lizard. . . stupid stupid. . . Why didn't you beat him, girl? Why did you not kill him when you had the chance? You should just try and break for it! Oh wait, you're in an anti-magi cell-! Hahahahaha!'
- "Shut up, I'm not in the mood!", she proclaimed. And once again, probably confusing the poor man who was just trying to accomplish his dutiful endeavours as a Nivis. However, this time she would not give him a direct response, leaving him to the own benefit of his doubt. She had grown tired of this man egging her on for answers. . . Or perhaps she had grown frightened and weary of what the voice would do if she went against its wishes.
- The clawed talons descend onto the hard-stone flooring, clattering as they rhythmically tapped to the near-metallic chitin at the tips.
- (Trillie L. Malpercius)
- By now, Saifex was lost, absolutely confused, and feeling about ready to give up on his attempts to help the girl out. He sighed, motioning the Tiro that entered the cell to leave whilst things were relatively quiet. In time, the Tiro would be freed of the jail cell, leaving Trillie in there one more... Alone.
- The Jail Warden started to lock up, the jingle of his keys sounding off throughout the prison, and Saifex, simply stood there, silently gazing back at the poor child within the cell.
- He couldn't imagine what it'd be like to be locked up, alone, stripped of hope and adapting to the harsh conditions that was Frostvale's dungeon.
- "Wait." He called out to the warden, awaiting him to open the cell once more.
- "...You don't have to accept freedom, but you can't just starve..." He stated in a dull expresion, taking up tray he placed some feet away from the bars, settled upon a bench some feet away earlier.
- Upon the tree was a small bowl of soup, pheasant stew, to be precise. A side of various vegetables, imported from the south, and even a sweetroll. He, personally entered the cell and placed it upon the floor.
- Such was putting himself at risk, but he did it simply in the name of trust. Immediately afterwards he start his leave without further words, notioning the jail warden to continue his action a second time... For good this time, until another Nivisman, or himself revisited the cell.
- (Saifex Tsuchi)
- With the Tsuchi's dull statement, came an equally dull expression from the young lass. Her discolored lavender hues seemed to waver even more lazily than before, as her attention seemed to focus on the meal put forth almost. . . postponingly. The arm continued to clatter, and it became apperant that its rhythmical tapping was not being done by the girl herself; that, or she was just a very strange kid.
- It usually wasn't like her to act out in such odd ways, but the arm was certainly taxing on her sanity. The constant denial of letting it consume like it was meant to was starting to ebb away at her mind, as the voice tormented her through sleepless nights.
