This is your final summative recording. It is intended to give you the opportunity to demonstrate how much you have improved over the year. Feel free to use past melodic studies and excerpts for numbers  4 and 5! Be sure to label what you are playing and the tempo. Thanks!




Tonguing should be done on a Bb scale ascending only and an Eb scale ascending only 5 Use metronome and label tempo. Suggested tempi: Single 112-126, total 1 minute or less.



Scales, record 6 major scales and 6 minor scales that demonstrate your development on scales. (Minimum tempo 120 on minor scales) Major scales should demonstrate improvement in fluency, tempo and range)  Total Time: 1- 1.5 Minutes



Melodic/Lyrical Song. We have done lots of these this year, so choose 1. It should be the actual melody (not an excerpt). Balladair, Ammerland, Irish Tune to name a few. Or something that is a favorite of yours.  Demonstrate good tone quality, direction of line and shaping phrases. What do you sound most beautiful on? This should be at least  30 seconds and no more than 50 seconds in length. This can be pasted from a past assignment.



Choose a technical excerpt or etude that demonstrate something you are proud of this year that demonstrates your technical skill.  It can be taken from a previous recording or something new. Use metronome : 30-45 seconds suggested time.



Two excerpts from Final Concert Repertoire TBA (2 excerpts or more of your choice 1 from Primavera and 1 from Disney, but the total time should be between 50-60 seconds of music.



The total length of this submission should be somewhere between 4:30-5:00 minutes. I will stop listening after 5:10. Show me your best in 5 minutes of playing
