Now - there can be people in the room who notice you looking at the light switch. They might observe you looking at the light and then at the light switch. THOSE PEOPLE might interpret what they see as you PREPARING to turn off the light.



Now imagine I am one of those people who turns to someone and says "he is going to turn the light off" and the person replies "don't be ridiculous. He hasn't said that. Why would he turn he light off? That makes no sense. Who would do such a thing?"



Now imagine as you walk to turn off the light you start throwing pamphlets around saying "I am going to turn the light off! You had better find another light source if you don't want to be in the dark!"



At THAT MOMENT you have revealed your intention to turn off the light. At that moment it is no longer a "secret".



But your decision to turn off the light was made BEFORE you threw any pamphlets around you spastic.
