  1. [22:08] There's a momentary cant of his head as he half lids his gaze in Cameron's direction.
  2.
  3. "...?"
  4.
  5. Honestly, what was the other teen up to now? Looking around the room, he'd give a brief sigh as a holy aura would brim to life to give light in this musty old room.
  6.
  7. "What's your idea, and will it incur me having to protect you?"
  8. (Niklaus Rowan)
  9. [22:09] Zen scratched the side of his head.
  10. (Zen Kumo)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [22:10] The plants rearrange themselves.
  14.
  15. Cameron points to the sketch of the goblin's head.
  16.
  17. Going to write an anonymous bulletin, post it all around Dawn.
  18. (Cameron Lawrence)
  19. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  20.
  21. [22:10] Niklaus Rowan asks, "...About what?"
  22. [22:10] Niklaus Rowan asks, "Do you think people really read the bulletin boards?"
  23. [22:11] A smile breaks past the kid's scowl. He shakes his head.
  24.
  25. Not going to just put it on the board. I'm going to pin it to Azrael's statue, to trees, to street lights. Even to fucking doors.
  26. (Cameron Lawrence)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [22:13] A breath draws in.
  30.
  31. And he repeats:
  32.
  33. "About what?"
  34.
  35. It's demanded a bit more aggressively now.
  36. (Niklaus Rowan)
  37. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  38.
  39. [22:14] Cameron points a finger to himself, triumphantly. The roots raise through the cobblestone a bit more, enough for the child to place his foot down onto it--if only to rest it on there.
  40.
  41. But also, to prove a point, maybe?
  42.
  43. About what nobody else is willing to say.
  44. (Cameron Lawrence)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [22:14] Zen Kumo asks, "And that is..?"
  48. [22:15] Cameron gestures towards Klaus, allowing him to take the floor.
  49. (Cameron Lawrence)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51.
  52. [22:22] Lips press together in a bit of a harsh line as he rolls his shoulders. A haze of stardust intermingles in his aura as he steps forward, boots scraping against the flooring there as he watches Cameron with his mismatched eyes.
  53.
  54. "There's more than proving a point."
  55.
  56. The words are a bit slow to start. "People aren't willing to say things because that's the way that Dawn is. If you've traveled, you'd know that. They stay inside of their bubble, they don't leave. They don't do anything outside of their comfort zone because they got comfortable while people around them scheme."
  57.
  58. His eyes fall toward the paper.
  59.
  60. "And that's not a part of the solution."
  61.
  62.
  63.
  64. "It's a part of the PROBLEM thinking they will CARE about PETTY things other than to MAIM you."
  65.
  66. He was over it.
  67.
  68. Over the way people acted out like this. He understood there was a vendetta, and he understood there was pride, but he wasn't going to stand there and let someone dig their own grave beneath their feet.
  69. (Niklaus Rowan)
  70. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  71.
  72. [22:32] Furrowing his brows, he matched the intensity of Klaus's gaze with one of pride and ire. The mute clenched his fists, knuckles shifting white as the veins in his arms popped beneath his skin. The Rowan's display of magic did not go unnoticed.
  73.
  74. Tree roots began to sprout from under the ground, engulfing themselves like a murder of crows fighting over the last scrap of food.
  75.
  76. Celestial dirt clings to the wood, speckles of luminescent gold littering the bark.
  77.
  78. And what is, then? Sitting around and doing fuck all? Ignoring it, running off to some fucking dance and travelling the continent like some sort of homeless bum?
  79.
  80. By now, the flowers had been crushed under the pressure of the root--which took over their responsibility as an impromptu journal.
  81.
  82. Eat shit, Klaus. You act like your tongue is trained, like every breath you take is corrosive fucking acid, but you're too afraid to use it. You're a phony, just like the rest of them.
  83. (Cameron Lawrence)
  84. [22:40] Stepping closer, his brow furrowed something fierce.
  85.
  86. "Shut your mouth, or whatever you call your stupid nature scribbling that lets whatever retarded shit that's in your brain see the day of light.
  87.
  88. Stop."
  89.
  90. There's a line with everyone, one that shouldn't be crossed. And this person had crossed that said line, time and time again. Over and over. Calling him 'boytoy', speaking recklessly about 'Klaus..
  91.
  92. It all started to boil over.
  93.
  94. Grasping for his rose adorned sword, a swathe of feathery, golden flames began to rise up. Only for them to gently wrap themselves around his frame, his voice raising slightly as the blade was pointed towards the male,
  95.
  96. "Apologize."
  97.
  98. Nobody was going to talk to his man like that.
  99. (Zen Kumo)
  100. [22:52] His lips pull back from his teeth, and it's apparent the sudden snarl that leaves him, a rumbling growl that comes straight from the depths of his very chest. "STANDING CHEST TO CHEST WITH GREATS NOT ACCEPTING MEDIOCRITY." Ipos, Neo, Vel, leaders of Huangzhou, leaders all over the world he could stand on par with because of a quick wit, because he didn't sit in Dawn and continue to cower like the rest of them did when it came to making his way around this world.
  101.
  102. There's only one word that comes to his foggy mind in the moment: Stop.
  103.
  104. The Drakanite's features had become more than just distorted, they'd become utterly animalistic in such a way that showed the rampant monster inside of him that clawed at the seams, that settled somewhere in the back of his mind and wanted to protect people from their own foolish mistakes.
  105.
  106. The fog causes adaze, a mist falling over the decrepit, old room. The holy flame burned around, and it felt like it again.
  107.
  108. Like a dream, one that he couldn't wake up from. Like he was locked in place for this singular instance, adrenaline eating him alive.
  109.
  110. "At least I have a tongue to be trained, but you'd better have it ripped out of my head with no remorse to be just like you."
  111.
  112. Wings had long since sprouted from his back, a painful sensation. Tattered, torn, and defective. They practically spilled dark ichor from themselves, conflicting with the healing magic that ran through his body.
  113.
  114. "You're pathetic, sit and accept your fate of being nothing more than a courier of a message that no one cares about instead of making actual strides."
  115. (Niklaus Rowan)
  116. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  117.
  118. [23:02] Cameron glances towards Zen as he approaches, his words barely scratching the surface of the mute's scowl, if at all. The roots shift again as another set of words formulate.
  119.
  120. Actually, it's just one.
  121.
  122. No.
  123.
  124. Redirecting his attention to Klaus, he grits his teeth as the Rowan uses his tongue. Which, normally, he would have wholly encouraged. For whatever reason his words prompted memories of the time Cameron congratulated his companion for going off on Franziska.
  125.
  126. It made him smile. The vexation that occupied his vessel left him, pride consuming him once again as the intensity of his magic subsided a bit.
  127.
  128. Funny thing, isn't it? You have one, but all you do is talk without actually saying anything.
  129.
  130. Lazy, unimpressed, and unintimidated dirt-brown eyes danced between the two.
  131. (Cameron Lawrence)
  132. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  133. [23:37] "You're an idiot, you made this so much worse on yourself."
  134.
  135. With each swing of his blade, the Kitsune conducted and orchestra of flames to scorch the lands. Super heated flames lashing out to crash against the boy mute's body. Over, and over, and over.. Clouds of spores being sent to single in on his opponent, nature abiding to his call as the two worked in tandem. With each bit of nature sent out, it's set ablaze to help fuel the hellish fires that are brought down upon the poor male.
  136.
  137. Sadly, something had to be done; a lesson had to be taught. One that couldn't be accomplished by any old injury, either. Giving a wave of his hand, a wave of fire was sent to singe the boy's hair. Burning his scalp, and leaving him bald; the smell of burnt hair filling the area, the Kitsune's lips curling up into a please smirk.
  138.
  139. It's over, the boy was left crumpled onto the ground, and covered in burns.
  140.
  141. Stepping closer, a single hand reached out to grab him by the nape of his neck, lifting him up so that he could stare down into his eyes.
  142.
  143. ".. I asked you to apologize to 'Klaus, mhm. But since you didn't wanna do it in private, I don't see why I can't just drag you to the square and have you do it there, y'know?"
  144.
  145. A slight pause, his gaze drifting over towards his counterpart. Wanting to see his reaction to the idea.
  146. (Zen Kumo)
  147. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  148.
  149. [23:42] A cant of his head is delivered upon witnessing the fight at hand, and he would glance off to the side. Admittedly, the display was... definitely something to witness. The fiery depths of the Kitsune's magic were a force to be reckoned with.
  150.
  151. "I don't want an apology." He murmurs outwards as he turns on his heel. A hand waves through the air.
  152.
  153. "...You can do whatever you like with him, Zen. It's a fool's folly thinking that anyone will change after humiliation. It doesn't breed obedience, it breeds dissent."
  154.
  155. His gaze narrows as he looks over his shoulder, wings shuddering a small bit.
  156.
  157. "But his brand of dissent is easily snuffed out, isn't it?"
  158.
  159. Gliding along toward Dawn, he didn't seem to wait up for much else.
  160. (Niklaus Rowan)
  161. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  162.
  163. [23:46] Suffering a prompt defeat wasn't anything new to Cameron. The little shit had always been an underdog, and probably would remain one for as long as he lived. Having his hair burned off sucked, but in comparison to what he had already undergone? It wasn't anything he couldn't deal with.
  164.
  165. That extended to the burns, too.
  166.
  167. He got beaten to shit again--there wasn't much else to say beyond that.
  168.
  169. When Zen looked into his eyes, however, it was clear that his beating hadn't forced any degree of subservience into the prideful mute's soul.
  170.
  171. He began to snicker, albeit it painfully due to his recent injuries.
  172.
  173. There was only one way to make a shit like Cameron do anything he didn't want to do.
  174. (Cameron Lawrence)
