It takes two more crowds, a couple wrong tries, and more than a couple minutes, but I find it.

The door’s shut, but since there’s no light slipping through the crack underneath, I figure there’s no one inside.

And, you know, like an idiot, just barge in.

Just to get treated to the sight of a couple totally making out against the counter. Or, well, not currently because of the whole door hitting thing, but they’re still holding each other and they were here together, and one wasn’t leant over the toilet while the other held their hair up or something, so I mean —

DIANA
I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean —!


I hesitate when I recognize [Madison/Forrest/Sebastián/Yvonne] rubbing [her/his] shoulder, the person [he/she] ran off with slumped against the counter.

I {i}freeze{/i} when I see the blood.

It has to be, even if it looks all gross and black in the candlelight. It’s just gushing out of the [other] girl’s neck in a way that can’t be healthy, and I can barely make out the two even holes in her throat.

[Madison/Forrest/Sebastián/Yvonne]’s mouth is slathered in it too, even down to the teeth. It only takes a second for [her/him] to wipe [her/his] mouth with a hand and then — lick it, {i}gross{/i} — to let go and reach for a towel.

[Madison] then turns on me, absolutely {i}furious{/i}.
Can you literally not fuck up a single night? Shut the door!
[Forrest]  frowns in recognition, then —
 Cupid? …Aw, shit. Could you just… shut the door?
[Sebastián] looks at me, then returns his attention to his… uh, nurse?
Would you be a dear and shut the door? You’re absolutely {i}ruining{/i} my ambient lighting.
[Yvonne] looks at me from under her lashes, voice gentle as she chastises.
It’s rude to interrupt a meal, you know. Shut the door, please?

DIANA
Oh. Yeah, sure.

There’s one last chance I’m misunderstanding it all and the alarms going off in my head are for nothing. Totally. Yeah.

I pull the door shut.

DIANA
Wait.

No, I can’t just abandon her.

I throw the door open again, and it looks like [vamp] isn’t smart enough to dodge it this time either. I reach for the lights and smack the switch with a clammy palm.
