Or maybe, the right motivation...
[2014-05-31 20:17:30] <CrystalGM> 03Random Access, Overmare of Stable 41 and one of its last two inhabitants, straps on the filled saddle bags. "Are you all ready to go? I don't want to be here if Lopatica comes back, and I can't leave till the Stable is sealed."
[2014-05-31 20:18:25] * Militus nods. "Yes. Let's leave this dark place, it is too dangerous to stay."
[2014-05-31 20:19:44] * Emerald_Blitz closes her eyes, spreads her wings, takes a deeeeep breath and lets it out slowly. Then the alicorn's eyes snap open. "I have a plan," she says. Emerald turns to Random Access. "While I may believe that a PipBuck will stunt your daughter's development, it is in fact a legitimate and powerful survival tool. And I will respect your decision to give it to her. But I don't intend to leave this...
[2014-05-31 20:19:46] * Emerald_Blitz ...Stable without at least one for our group as well. Can you call up the monitors that display the monoliths downstairs, please?" The alicorn folds her wings and now looks... focused, finally.
[2014-05-31 20:19:51] * Clue nods. "Alright. Emergency exit yes?"
[2014-05-31 20:20:47] * Clue looks at Emerald_Blitz. "Oh would you let it go already. Please"
[2014-05-31 20:21:33] * Militus raises an eyebrow and looks at Emerald_Blitz. "Are you certain that going down into that level would be wise? I understand these 'Pip-Bucks' are of great value, but those monoliths, and so many of them..."
[2014-05-31 20:22:05] * Militus shudders. "I do not fear many things. That many monoliths, however, can have that distinction."
[2014-05-31 20:22:42] <CrystalGM> 03The overmare nods. "Alright then. If you think its worth the risk..." With a few clicks on the keyboard, the screen starts flashing through the different working cameras, showing rooms with monoliths.
[2014-05-31 20:22:45] * Emerald_Blitz looks at Clue. "Wait until you hear my plan before you chide me, please," she says calmly. "This is more for your benefit than mine." She turns back to the monitors. "If I can teleport down there and retrieve at least one before the monsters notice, that may give us an edge against Lopatica, if the Head of Security was any indication of their combat effectiveness." The alicorn flaps once and...
[2014-05-31 20:22:47] * Emerald_Blitz ...frowns. "I will go alone. Or, perhaps to speed things, Tallie might wish to come with me to collect them while I stand guard. Then we leave with all haste."

[2014-05-31 20:25:31] <CrystalGM> 03The screen shows a variety of rooms. Most appear to be filled with a variety of mutant creatures both flying and on the ground. However, there is a room with five monoliths spread throughout it that appears to only have creatures running about on the ground.
[2014-05-31 20:25:44] * Militus glowers. "Clue has a point. That many monoliths will have you swimming in corruption down there? I fear you may not come back yourself if you go, captain."
[2014-05-31 20:26:34] * Tallie hurrumphs. "So, no concern for the griffin, eh? Racists..."
[2014-05-31 20:27:50] * Emerald_Blitz sighs. "Actively deciding to wield it is not the same as even a large amount of ambient exposure. I'll be certain to get proper treatment for it and treat it as an affliction, not a weapon." The alicorn looks at Militus. "Your concern is noted, Militus, and appreciated. But if the difficulty of the fight with that... shadow... is any indication, a PipBuck might be just what we need to...
[2014-05-31 20:27:52] * Emerald_Blitz ...survive an encounter with Lopatica." Her expression darkens. "And I will take any measure necessary to stop her, if only to prove what Asami said true. I am not a monster, and I will not have someone bearing my image going around and convincing me otherwise."
[2014-05-31 20:29:01] * Militus makes as if to protest, but then simply shakes his head. "Then go, at your peril. I hope you return."
[2014-05-31 20:29:22] * Clue shakes her head. "But you are still willingly exposing yourself to corruption"
[2014-05-31 20:30:50] * Emerald_Blitz scoops up the dark copy of her shotgun and loads it with more tazer slugs. "I hope to be in and out in less than a minute. We'll be limited only by how quickly Tallie can retrieve the PipBucks. Miss Access, would you be so kind as to lend me your PipBuck tools?" The alicorn winces at Clue's accusation. "Yes, yes I am. It is a calculated risk, perhaps much like your use of shadow magic...
[2014-05-31 20:30:52] * Emerald_Blitz ...earlier. I feared what I did not understand, as ponies are wont to do. I apologize for being so hard on you for it earlier, and double so for my own hypocrisy, but I have a way to track and ameliorate its effects waiting at the other Stable."

[2014-05-31 20:31:47] * Militus frowns.
[2014-05-31 20:33:47] * Emerald_Blitz lowers her head to Clue's level. "I'll be able to track our exposure once we get back, and won't be afraid of your occasional use of it as long as it remains at safe levels, all right?" The alicorn sighs. "May I borrow the tools, please."
[2014-05-31 20:33:52] * Tallie puts her hands together above her, closing her eyes, and lowers them to her chest with a deep breath. "I am a leaf on the wind... watch how I pick up pipbucks like nobody's business..."
[2014-05-31 20:34:02] * Militus gestures to the screen. "You have a way to break a monolith without releasing too much corruption?"
[2014-05-31 20:34:22] * Tallie pulls bloomper off her back. "I shoot one of these just before we port, maybe?"
[2014-05-31 20:34:48] * Clue shakes her head and lets out a sound. "No."
[2014-05-31 20:35:02] <Militus> "Then you'll be right back here without your prize."
[2014-05-31 20:36:40] * Tallie grins. "I'll shoot it after we grab the bucks."
[2014-05-31 20:36:40] * Emerald_Blitz blinks. "I suppose we could chisel them out, or break one and let a scorpion absorb the corruption, but both have some risk." She looks at Clue. "Please? I wouldn't have thought you'd be the one to object to the acquisition of helpful items..."

[2014-05-31 20:39:49] * Emerald_Blitz groans. "I'm not playing cards, Clue. I'm trying to get you and Militus something to improve your combat effectiveness, in a fashion that manages risk in an acceptable fashion. If you're not objecting from a sense of material possession, then why?"
[2014-05-31 20:40:21] * Militus huffs. "I am of accord with Clue here, and I object for fear of all of us, especially you two."
[2014-05-31 20:41:24] * Clue shakes her head harder. "You stand there and call me a theif by another name. You think I'm too stupid to see that?.... It hurts..." She sits down with a sigh. "...I am protecting you..."
[2014-05-31 20:42:56] * Emerald_Blitz is silent for a moment, then speaks. "Yes, yes I did. That was unkind of me, and I apologize," she says. "Your tendency toward kleptomania is an affliction, something to be treated, not exploited when I think it's convenient. What kind of doctor am I, anyway... I used to know." She looks back at her flank and sighs. "Well. All right then. I can see that some of you are more worried about...
[2014-05-31 20:42:57] * Emerald_Blitz ...this than I am," she says. "Tallie seems to agree with me, and Militus with Clue. We're at an impasse and need a tiebreaker vote." The alicorn looks at Asami. "Despite your youth, you have a good head on your shoulders. Since we can't decide, I leave it to you."
[2014-05-31 20:43:04] * Tallie rolls her eyes. "Can we please just have the tools and stop with all the drama? The quicker we get in there, the quicker we get back."

[2014-05-31 20:46:03] <Emerald_Blitz> "I'm not taking one from this mare or her filly," Emerald says. "Without the safety of a Stable to protect them, they will need them more than ever. If you have an alternate method of acquisition, I'm all ears."
[2014-05-31 20:46:24] * Asami sits up and smirks "me? interesting...though to be frank Emmy...nobody here paid any heed to my concerns when uhh...let me just call it the 'ghostly glowing box' incident....I said my 2 bits then and half of you STILL got blinded by an impatient Zebra...so uhhhh..I'm skeptical here..but my thoughts on the matter are thus...we can ALL get pipbucks from the Rangers...so why risk it here?

More risk when attempting to... deal with Lopatica, perhaps, but not as concentrated." The alicorn nods to Asami and Militus. "Well, consider me convinced. I withdraw my plan." She nods to Random Access and the filly. "Let's go. I'll get you...
[2014-05-31 20:49:38] * Emerald_Blitz ...to the other stable in ten minutes flat." The alicorn turns and trots toward the exit, stopping only to kiss Clue on the head. "Never thought of myself as needing protection, but... the thought is kind and much appreciated."
[2014-05-31 20:50:23] * Militus looks at Tallie, deadly serious. "I understand. I do. I do not want to leave anything hostile alive in this Stable. But going down there is too dangerous."
[2014-05-31 20:50:51] <CrystalGM> 03Quantum hops up next to her mother, snuggling with her. Random Access starts typing commands into the computer.
[2014-05-31 20:51:05] * Clue gets up and smiles. "Good. Now I don't need to go down there with you"
[2014-05-31 20:51:10] * Asami grins "honoray stable members....AND me bartering...I could likely get you shoehorned into being their next Overmare if I put my mind to the grindstone Emmy...

[2014-05-31 20:51:45] * Emerald_Blitz smirks. "I wouldn't have let you come down there anyway, Clue," she says. "I protect you, too. It's what friends do. Even if they lose sight of that sometimes in favor of other, shinier but less important things."

[2014-05-31 20:52:41] * Emerald_Blitz looks at Asami quizzically. "Oh please, I'd make a terrible overmare. Civilian life wasn't easy for me BEFORE I joined the war, and I can't imagine it's any less tangled and convoluted now. I'd end up evacuating the Stable and setting myself on fire within six months."
[2014-05-31 20:52:45] * Tallie puts Bloomper back on her back and looks at Emerald. "Hey Mac, can I catch a lift?" she says in a mock-gangter voice.
[2014-05-31 20:53:20] * Militus snickers at the mental image Emerald_Blitz just conjured.
[2014-05-31 20:53:44] * Clue smiles. "Well, glad I matter that much cause that was the only way you were going down with the tools" She waits for the Overmare.
[2014-05-31 20:53:56] * Emerald_Blitz scowls at Tallie. "We really need to get you some physical therapy and flight lessons. As much as I don't mind carrying you most of the time, there are sometimes more pressing things I need to carry." Her telekinesis scoops up Random Access when she finishes typing. "Like patients, for example."
[2014-05-31 20:54:11] <Asami> just saying...I COULD get it for ya Emmy...*snicker* and by the by..." Asami gets up and waddles oveer to Emerald while whispering up at her" By the by...but Quantum the filly's coat color has uhm...changed...and I'm not sure why..
[2014-05-31 20:54:50] * Emerald_Blitz lowers her voice and her head as she leans down to Asami. "Corruption exposure, stage one. We need to leave posthaste before things get worse than a few sunny days can cure."
[2014-05-31 20:55:22] <CrystalGM> 03A large warning screen pops up. It reads 'Are you sure you wish to take this course of action? This could cause irreparable harm to Stable 41'. The overmare hits yes...
[2014-05-31 20:55:25] <Asami> Ahhh gotcha...we could all use some sunshine
[2014-05-31 20:56:18] * Tallie blehs. "Foooiiinne..." she whines, then pads along towards the exit. "Now lets blow this joint, both figeratively and literally."
[2014-05-31 20:56:36] * Militus walks along, nodding. "Yes, let's."
[2014-05-31 20:57:03] <CrystalGM> 03The desk sinks into the floor as a stairwell is revealed. It is clean, albeit dusty, with no signs of the fleshy mold. Random Access picks up Quantum with her tail and sets her on her back. "Let's get out. We have thirty seconds!" The mare takes off down the hall, the lights flicking on as she flies out.
[2014-05-31 20:57:49] * Clue panics. "Thirty seconds!? You couldn't of set it for an hour or something!?" She high tails it down the exit.
[2014-05-31 20:58:01] * Militus bolts down the tunnel as fast as he can.
[2014-05-31 20:59:00] * Emerald_Blitz scoops up Quantum, her mother, Tallie, Asami, Clue, and as she catches up, Militus too, in the friendly green glow of her telekinesis. At never-before-seen-speed, the alicorn navigates the tunnels they'd come down. Thirty seconds? Who needs that? Emerald_Blitz is channeling Rainbow Dash.
[2014-05-31 21:00:29] * Emerald_Blitz veers into walls, trotting along their length sideways when she has to, in a Super Speed Strut to avoid crashing into corners, a chain of lifted friends carried along in her wake.
[2014-05-31 21:01:11] * Tallie glides in Emerald's magic. "WHEEEEEEE!" she squeals.
[2014-05-31 21:01:56] <CrystalGM> 03The Stable is filled with the sounds of creatures roaring and scrambling about, overwhelmed with the sounds of a loud, blaring alarm going off. As Emerald_Blitz enters the room with the large stable door, everyone can see the mechanisms for the door sliding up to it, to finish the process of closing it. Thankfully, the alicorn is faster than some measly mechanical motivators and escapes...
[2014-05-31 21:01:56] <CrystalGM> ...with everyone in tow. Behind the group, they can hear the sound of the door slamming shut...
[2014-05-31 21:04:42] * Emerald_Blitz scoops up more large boxes to use as cover and covers each of her airborne passengers with one as she veers south, headed for the safety of the Stable that ISN'T blowing up. "Hang on! I have NO IDEA how big that's going to explode!" Emerald cautions.
[2014-05-31 21:05:39] * Tallie stares at the door with extreme excitement. "BoomboomboomBOOMBOOMBOOOOOM!!!"
[2014-05-31 21:06:46] * Militus braces himself against the side of his box. He silently reflects on how zebras were definitely not meant to fly.
[2014-05-31 21:06:49] * Asami is curled up into a fetal metallic armored ball as she is floated along
[2014-05-31 21:07:29] <CrystalGM> 03As the ponies are put inside the crate, they notice that this crate still has contents. It seems to contain several small bundles of materials used for repairs.
[2014-05-31 21:07:30] * Clue floats with a blank expression, but corrects herself and takes a Supermare pose with a childlike smile.
[2014-05-31 21:12:30] * Emerald_Blitz continues flying the group south, waiting for any sign of detonation.
[2014-05-31 21:13:38] * Clue blinks. "It's a contained explosion. I doubt there hillside will have it's top fly off like a balloon"
[2014-05-31 21:14:16] * Tallie goes from joy to boredom in a milisecond. "Lame."
[2014-05-31 21:14:35] * Emerald_Blitz scowls. "Oh. With the size of Stable-Tec's reactors, I was hoping for something at least a LITTLE dramatic..." The alicorn corrects altitude, and at her current speed, they're almost to the Stable already.
[2014-05-31 21:14:40] <CrystalGM> 03For a moment... nothing. Then, a deep rumble from behind the group. The house that stands over the entrance quakes, cracking and shattering into a pile of rubble.
[2014-05-31 21:15:40] <Clue> "Science is not lame. Take your explosions for instance. Chemical reactions. Plain and simple"
[2014-05-31 21:16:07] * Emerald_Blitz shrugs. "Good enough. Now let's get these two some proper medical attention and then stop my Evil Clone of Darkness from attacking Crystal Crossing, shall we?"
[2014-05-31 21:17:39] * Militus nods. "Yes. Let's. I rather dislike the idea of you as lord of darkness, captain."
[2014-05-31 21:20:15] * Emerald_Blitz snorts. "I think I'd make a rather dashing Evil Overlord, thank you very much, but I simply cannot abide destruction being rained down on the town that was kind to me in my foggiest hour," she says. "We'll need a day to recuperate, and time for Clue to learn some offensive spells if we're to fight her. I hope we can merely talk things out, as we've crushed a portion of her army factory already..."
[2014-05-31 21:20:53] <Militus> "I didn't say you wouldn't be dashing captain, quite the opposite. I worry you'd be a bit too good at it."
[2014-05-31 21:21:13] * Tallie watches the house crumle and fist-pumps. "Woop!"
[2014-05-31 21:22:12] * Clue smiles. "I'd follow you if you were and evil overlord Em" She giggles.
[2014-05-31 21:23:22] * Militus still looks totally serious. "I would not."
[2014-05-31 21:24:32] * Tallie wiggles in the air. "Emmy, can you let me down now please?" she flails her arms under her.
[2014-05-31 21:25:56] * Emerald_Blitz shrugs. "Depends on the definition of evil in this case, I suppose." She looks at the griffon. "I can drop you fifteen-hundred feet if you like, otherwise climb inside a box and hush."
[2014-05-31 21:26:27] * Tallie frowns and climbs into a box. "Fine." She mutters, then goes about pretending she's in a fighter plane.
[2014-05-31 21:26:58] <Militus> "Domination over your fellow equine, megalomania, a certainty that you should be running the world coupled with a sense that acting violently to make such a thing so is acceptable. That kind of evil."
[2014-05-31 21:28:24] * Emerald_Blitz scowls. "That sounds entirely too time-consuming and not enough like bandaging wounds and diagnosing mental illnesses," the alicorn says. "Perhaps I'll settle for Benign Dictator, if there is such a thing."
[2014-05-31 21:30:19] <Tallie> "Can I be grand viscroy of awesomeness?"
[2014-05-31 21:31:23] <Emerald_Blitz> "I think I'll appoint you Minister of Explosions instead," Emerald says. "Militus can be Grand Marshall of Violence, Clue can be Arch-Wizard of Magic-osity, and Asami can be Grand Poobah of Good Advice and Fire."
[2014-05-31 21:32:12] * Militus squints at something in the distance. He blinks, then seems to forget about it.
[2014-05-31 21:34:14] * Clue looks to her side and frowns. "Can't I just learn my fucking spells!?" She lets out an groan.
[2014-05-31 21:35:04] * Militus raises an eyebrow. "Did I do something to upset you?"
[2014-05-31 21:35:27] <Emerald_Blitz> "Oh for the love of sweet apples, Clue," Emerald says. "I said we needed to set time aside to ensure you could do that," she says. "At least pay attention before you begin to grouse."
[2014-05-31 21:36:51] <Clue> "That's the point!" She pointes East. "Her army is right there. RIGHT FUCKING THERE! Invisible now..."
[2014-05-31 21:37:10] * Emerald_Blitz frowns. "Invisible? What now?"
[2014-05-31 21:37:38] * Militus gasps. "That was what that was?"
[2014-05-31 21:40:06] * Clue sighs. "...massive..." She lets out a LOUD groan. "I COULDN'T OF FUCKING LEARNED MY SPELLS BEFOOOORE!" Her eyes flutter as she runs some number. "6. 6 hours till they get there...."
[2014-05-31 21:41:39] * Militus stares into the distance. "Well then...we're in for a real fight this time."
[2014-05-31 21:42:42] * Emerald_Blitz slides immediately back into her old habits, diving toward the stable and dropping altitude as quickly as she can. "You mean they're headed for the Stable, not for Crystal Crossing?" the alicorn says. "Damn. Actually, that makes sense. If she observed Crystal Crossing and saw they had nothing worth taking, imagine what a juicy prize a Stable must be... actually she doesn't have to imagine."...
[2014-05-31 21:42:43] * Emerald_Blitz ...Emerald grits her teeth. "She's ruined one already. I'm not letting her take another."
[2014-05-31 21:43:29] * Tallie grins. "Time for explosions!"
[2014-05-31 21:43:41] <CrystalGM> 03Emerald Blitz finds a pleasant tail wind empowering her flight, and she easily makes it back to Stable 42 in under 10 minutes.

[2014-05-31 21:43:46] * Asami grumbles "its NOT your evil clone Emmy....
[2014-05-31 21:44:59] * Emerald_Blitz shakes her head. "Not right now. Right now we reload, recharge, and learn. I... wait, what?" The alicorn turns and looks at Asami. "Then what is it? Someone tell me, and the Rangers, so we can be prepared in time." She touches down outside the security perimeter and puts all the boxes and ponies down except for Asami and Random Access. "Come. If Clue's calculations are correct, we've very...

[2014-05-31 21:45:30] * Militus nods. "I should go figure out what this dark spear does before I go to use it."
[2014-05-31 21:45:49] * Clue thinks. "I need better armour"
[2014-05-31 21:45:53] <CrystalGM> 03The rangers on duty allow the alicorn to land, and medics are called out to start tending to any existing injuries.
[2014-05-31 21:47:35] * Emerald_Blitz hands Random and Quantum off to the medics with a concise list of their conditions and symptoms, most worrying being their corruption exposure and Random's missing limb. "If you need better armor take the set we acquired from the shadow," she says. "I'll want to monitor its effects on you, but it looks quite sturdy."
[2014-05-31 21:48:26] * Tallie hops out of the box. "So, what should I do to prepare?" she asks. "Get bigger explosives? I like the way you think."
[2014-05-31 21:49:24] * Clue nods. "Thank you" She takes the Shadow Combat Armour. "Hmm... if we put both together it would make it much better.... MUCH. These are experimental and unique to aid in saddle combat"
[2014-05-31 21:51:10] <Emerald_Blitz> "Or use a repair kit. I'm sure Tallie might benefit from heavier armor as well," the alicorn suggests. "Why waste a suit of good armor as repair material? Also, I need more caps for medical supplies since we used up quite a few during that scuffle."
[2014-05-31 21:51:39] <Asami> I told ya earlier before during your drug fueled craze Emmy...that Alicorn leading that army...ISNT YOU....unless your coat is green...and just in case you were colorblind...'its not'...

[2014-05-31 21:53:05] * Clue shakes her head. "This armour isn't made for a griffin. Nor a small one. I think if the two were combined this would be in comparision to off the line armour. A kit can only get it so far

I'm just not sure whether I've the potential to be a monster like her," she says. "I suspect I do, but I have friends, not minions, and that may steer me away from that outcome. In the meantime, Crystal Crossing needs more of a defense than we can manage with just us and the town's defenses. I need to go...

[2014-05-31 21:56:12] <CrystalGM> 03Militus is directed toward where the Scribes of the Sword have set up shop. They are led by a middle-aged unicorn mare, aging gracefully. She has a brown coat and silver mane, though her cutie mark is obscured by scribe's robes.

If my friends come looking, I'll be back within the hour." With a bright green flash, Emerald disappears... and reappears in the place she is most comfortable and familiar with in Crystal Crossing... Clue's house.

[2014-05-31 23:56:54] * Emerald_Blitz heads for the chief of security's office. She's been there once, after all. It shouldn't take too long to find Rimfire after all. She starts at Dawn's diner. "Hello?" the alicorn says as she pushes open the door.
[2014-05-31 23:58:55] * Clue lets out a releived sigh. "Thank you very much Asami.... I really do appreciate the help... There has just been so much... and... I just... hate seeing others with things I don't..." She runs her hoof in a circle. "...giving up them gems was... hard..."

[2014-05-31 23:59:42] * Tallie works with Washer, fixing the terminal. "Science seriously isn't my thing..." he mutters, fiddling around with the electronics. "If it was gears and stuff? Easy."

[2014-06-01 00:02:55] * Emerald_Blitz sighs. "I wish I could say the same, Dawn. Your town will shortly be in danger." The alicorn gestures at the windows. "Within six hours, there will be an army at the gates, so to speak. I need to coordinate reinforcements from the Rangers with Rimfire. Where is he, by the by?"
[2014-06-01 00:03:56] <CrystalGM> 03Clue can easily find Feather Fall. She's entertaining newborn foals and helping out in the nursery.
[2014-06-01 00:04:40] * Clue trots up to her. "Hello! I'm back to finish off learning the spells!"
[2014-06-01 00:07:03] <CrystalGM> 03Dawn's eyes widen. "An army? Oh my! Oh! I'll call him in. He's on patrol." She digs around under the desk and pulls out microphone, calling for Rim Fire to return to Dawn's Inn ASAP.
[2014-06-01 00:08:00] * Emerald_Blitz sits comfortably next to one of the booths and combs her mane before putting her hat back on. The Crystal Cut is degrading... she'll have to see to that when there's not an army of mutants besieging some of her few friends.

[2014-06-01 00:11:27] <CrystalGM> 03Feather Fall smiles over to Clue. "Aren't they cute? I can help you in a few minutes... I just am watching these little ones while the nurse runs to the bathroom." The foal Feather Fall is holding coos.
[2014-06-01 00:11:33] * Militus gets slowly to his hooves, shaking his head. <No. No, it can't happen again. I won't let it.>
[2014-06-01 00:12:54] * Clue smiles wholeheartedly and sits next to Feather Fall, her own  head resting against the mare's. "Yes. Yes they are..." She frowns a little afterwards.
[2014-06-01 00:13:23] <CrystalGM> 03Washer smiles. "Oh, this isn't gears. But, its like gears. Things still slot in, energy moves between the bits." The stallion sticks out his tongue as he starts soldering a wire to a silicone wafer.
[2014-06-01 00:14:34] * Tallie watches intently. "Hm. Makes sense." she mutters. "I'd still rather work on something mechanical though." She snuggles up a little closer, watching.

[2014-06-01 00:15:44] <CrystalGM> 03Feather Fall looks up at Clue. "What's wrong hon? Never saw a mare frown at a newborn."
[2014-06-01 00:15:48] * Militus stares at Kivuli. He looks haunted. <It's for their sake that I can't.>
[2014-06-01 00:17:13] <CrystalGM> 03Rim Fire flies in to the inn. "What's wrong, Dawn? Oh, Captain Blitz. How goes your mission?"
[2014-06-01 00:17:19] * Emerald_Blitz hands Rimfire the note from the Rangers and sits back. "I'll let you read that first rather than confuse the issue," she says. "I'll gladly answer any questions you have afterward. Time is, after all, of the essence."
[2014-06-01 00:18:10] <CrystalGM> 03Washer smiles and nods. "Well, I still have some old clocks to work on after this is finished." Washer idly steps closer to Tallie.
[2014-06-01 00:18:28] * Clue rubs her hooves together. "...I... I've always wanted a foal of my own...." She looks to Feather Fall with her frown. "...I just... with you... I just..." Clue then draws silent.

[2014-06-01 00:20:23] * Tallie nods with a wide smile. "I'd love to work on them. Clockwork's so eeeeeasy!" She subconsiously wraps her tail around his.
[2014-06-01 00:20:25] <CrystalGM> 03Rim Fire reads the note, his expression growing more grim. "I'll ready the guard and the defenses. What will be attacking us, exactly?"
[2014-06-01 00:21:59] <Emerald_Blitz> "An army of assorted mutants and possibly corrupted ponies as well, or at least their shadow versions. Not true manifestations because we destroyed their source, but..." Emerald looks worried. "I would prepare for the worst," she says. "I need to return to Stable 42 and finish preparations. Is there anything I can do for you before I go?"
[2014-06-01 00:22:07] <CrystalGM> 03Feather Fall giggles. "Hon, we have made very good advances with in vitro fertilization and altering of pony's cells. We could have children."
[2014-06-01 00:24:58] <CrystalGM> 03Rim Fire shakes his head. "With the full might of the Steel Rangers, no. I'd call upon the Flying Circus, but they are notoriously unreliable. Thank you, Emerald_Blitz. This may save us all." Rim Fire salutes the alicorn before flying out of the inn.
[2014-06-01 00:25:23] * Clue blinks. "I must of missed that.... Crystal Crossing has only so many books in their library, all of which I have read..." Her smile starts to come back. "...but who will be the... stallion?... mare?..." She scrunches her face up.
[2014-06-01 00:25:45] * Emerald_Blitz takes off after him with a nod to Dawn, then veers west to head back to the Stable. At her newfound speed, this shouldn't take long...

[2014-06-01 00:27:05] * Militus nods. <I told them. Showed them the scars.> He frowns. <One of them insisted on shadow casting, however. And the captain nearly dropped herself and a child into a room brimming with the fell magic.>
