- [20:57] Elisha Avery Ghede says, "Sword time."
- [21:02] He doesn't waste anytime.
- Elisha takes a seat next to a massive table, next to an ornate, enchanted anvil. This part of the workshop remains rather hot, due to the nearby forge. And ideally, with what Yuri wanted?
- Few of the machines, smelters, or whathaveyou will be touched.
- "Since you already have a blade, this should be simple. Well...simple enough. Give me the sword."
- (Elisha Avery Ghede)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:04] Yuri nods at the instructions. He'd trust Elisha to do what had to be done; the artificer was the expert, after all. The large, oversized sword is removed from behind his back and brought before Elisha in all of its glorious form. It's... definitely heavy.
- Way too heavy for someone as short as Yuri.
- "Do you want the scale, too?"
- (Yuri)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:04] {Item} You drop Herculean Call.
- [21:09] {Item} You picked up Herculean Call. Dropped by Yuri..
- [21:25] Elisha lifts the blade, and carefully sets it on the table. He'd worked with this heavy ore quite a few times, and while he preferred working with leather, making a few alterations is far less annoying than making a brand new weapon.
- "Not yet."
- Elisha stares at the crossguard, and grimaces. "...this is stupid. Crossguards are meant to counter attacks, and get a better grip on the blade. Why is it shaped like this?" He sets the gem aside for now, and reaches under the table.
- Grabbing hold of the many dragon teeth either found, or gifted. "One moment." Elisha then grabs a hammer and breaks the ugly crossguard off. With the hilt and blade separated, he could work on either piece separately, but for now?
- He begins to file away at the dragon teeth, letting their shavings fall upon the ground.
- "Anyways, for the scale, that'll be the last thing I work with. Didn't realize I'd have to fix this...mess, first."
- (Elisha Avery Ghede)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:29] Yuri's heart sank for a moment when he saw the weapon he'd used for years being dismantled like it was normal. He could only hope that this modification would work out. It had to. Right? His eyes scanned over the process at hand while he tried his best not to have a panic attack.
- "T-That'll help it, right? It.."
- Fear was his element.
- (Yuri)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:43] "Yes. Sure, the crossguard looks cool, but when the aesthetic ruins it's usefulness...all you're doing is making something flashy at the cost of the blades wielder's safety."
- As the teeth are filed down, he positions them between the blade and hilt, nodding once he's content with their size. "Hmm..." His gaze shifts between the various objects present, and decides to simply get this part of the process over with.
- "Cover your ears. Otherwise they're going to get very uncomfortable. You won't be able to ear it, but, still."
- One hand grabs the hilt, while two of the dragon teeth are lined up, positioned to curve upwards. His hand covers above the teeth and hilt, and he begins to snap.
- Yet, with each snap, the vibrations in the air are manipulated. Turned into ultrasonic waves that he uses to weld the hilt and the teeth. The vibrations in are well above the normal human hearing range, and begin to generate what he needs to make this work.
- Heat.
- The teeth's undersides begin to melt ever so slightly, and he shoves the hilt forward, jamming it into the melting enamel. With a bit of wiggling, either tooth is affixed to the hilt. Creating a solid-state weld.

- [21:47] Yuri did not hesitate to bring his hands up to his ears when he was told to do so. Knowing how most crafters operated it was important to listen to their indications and not argue with them.
- Never.
- Green eyes lay upon his weapon with fear and doubt in his mind, hoping that everything will turn out... fine. That everything will work out.
- The young knight seems rather surprised that heat could be produced from sound and sound alone. Was this really crafting? Was it just magic?
- He decided not to look into it too much.
- (Yuri)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:54] Now that this nightmare is remedied, he can focus on what he'd intended to do from the beginning. Elisha grabs hold of a chisel, and hammer, and begins to dig into the center of the blades hilt.
- Carefully hammering away, to make a snug home for the powerful gem.
- "Socketing the gem will be easy. How I design the runes is going to be up to you. Do you want the gem's energy to be directed through the blade, or do you plan on using it as...an external mana source?"
- (Elisha Avery Ghede)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:57] Yuri's hands shifted down to his sides after the the sound seemed to subside. His attention moving to the chiseling, and a question answered with another question.
- "What's the difference? I-.. Um. I've got a ton of people that lend me their energy already. So I don't think I'll need more outside help."
- (Yuri)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:02] "This gem is strong, but it's energy needs to be directed somewhere. It could...empowered the blade, or it could empower the person using it. All depends on where you want the mana and energy to go."
- Elisha raises a hand, and swipes aside all the nyeshk shavings. The gem is grasped, and simply shoved into the fresh crater. He wiggles it around a few times, removes it, and returns to chiseling. This time, with a smaller chisel, and hammer.
- Making the slot a bit more precise.
- "Almost done with the boring parts."
- (Elisha Avery Ghede)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:04] "Focus it in the blade." He said, nodding. If the weapon that he carried was strong, focused, and in its best shape, then Yuri's skill was all that would be left to improve.
- "And let it pull from me, if it needs to."
- He really was the kind to sacrifice himself for greatness.
- (Yuri)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:12] He's thankful that this is the decision made.
- As the final touches are completed, he slots the gem into the massive swords hilt, twisting it until he's certain that it won't budge.
- Both of Elisha's hands then rise, as he begins to murmur. A cold chill sweeps across the room, as he communes with the closest spirits, asking for their aid.
- The end of the chisel meets his palm, and he gashes it's center. Crimson spills from his hand, and onto the floor, while the room grows ever colder. As his lifeblood is given to the ghosts and spirits within the tower, Yuri could perhaps hear the faintest of whispers.
- Half a dozen sigils shine alight, five across the blade, and one across the hilt. They spin and whir as hundreds of leylines spread across the metals. The abundant mana within the gem is siphoned, and spread across this enchanted and empowered weapon.
- And the now panting Ghede lowers his unscathed hand.
- "Give methe scale."
- (Elisha Avery Ghede)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:14] When a prayer to the spirits is passed Yuri feels his own body tug and pull at him, reacting to the presence surrounding them for a brief moment. No. It was not time to fight.
- The odd ritual does bring Yuri to step back just once - away from what felt like impeding doom before realizing it merely was some unique way to take care of the work ahead.
- When the scale is demanded the young knight does provide it, its large size and pristine condition seems to make it all too suitable for a weapon.
- (Yuri)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:22] The scale makes him pause for a moment.
- It's massive, and it requires both of his hands to hold. Yet, it's perfect, considering that Yuri's blade is a behemoth in it's own right. Elisha, in the moment, ignores the bleeding of his palm, and chooses to partake in the simplest yet most effective method he could think of.
- He wraps the scale around the hilt, and raises both hands. Snapping, and manipulating the soundwaves, forcing ultrasonic waves to apply heat to the scale. Where the scale itself fails to warp, or change, the flesh underneath it begins to melt.
- Affixing itself to the hilt, while keeping the gem safe from harm.
- ...also keeping it from falling out of the socket.
- Rather than wait for it to cool down, a gentle breeze then presses against the blade.
- "The runes are designed to draw mana from you, into the gem. It might shroud the blade in energy. It might...just enhance it, like a warrior would his muscles, with mana."
- Elisha shrugs.
- "Only one way to find out."
- With the hilt cooled, and his job finished, he pats the massive blade.
- "Fortified by a dragon's scale, with a crossguard made of dragons teeth, with a powerful energy gem in the hilt. You better name it something cool."
- (Elisha Avery Ghede)

- [22:22] {Item} You picked up Ener-gi. Dropped by Elisha Avery Ghede..
- [22:30] Yuri quietly watched as both runes and heat was applied to the weapon. The way the scale wrapped itself around the hilt and seemed to snuggle it perfectly, protecting the gem and... adding more flair to the blade overall.
- A great weapon for one who is meant to become great.
- With a Dragon's scale in it, it seemed only proper to give it a name fitting for it. Energy.. Dragon. Ether.
- A spiritual dragon?
- Inspiration seemed to strike him at that moment.
- "Nalkrath. It sounds... spiritual. And dragon-like. What do you think?"
- (Yuri)

- [22:30] {Item} You picked up Dragon Tooth x2. Dropped by Elisha Avery Ghede.
- [22:39] "It sounds...cool."
- Elisha would leave it at that, and begin to exit the forge. He needed to bandage up his hand, and rest for a while. This type of work tended to leave him more mentally exhausted than anything.
- "I might be able to make it better once I've gotten some more experience under my belt."
- For now, though, his focuses lied elsewhere. While he'd love to supply the Kingdom with an endless supply of powerful weapons, he was more concerned with the soldiers and their health as opposed to their gear.
- One mission at a time.
