  1. The missing part of the timeskip update. You should have read the first paragraph, but it's there just to remind you of what was going on.
  2.
  3.
  4. Unfortunately as you find, Moriah isn’t the best teacher since she can literally see magic. She has a hard time trying to tell you what to do or what you’re doing wrong, because you can’t comprehend it like she does. Still, you do get kind of a framework of understanding going on. After watching her do some simple things enough times, you can play it by ESP and mimic the vibes you’re getting from her. For example, you can like. Make a ball of light and stuff. That’s a step in the right direction?
  5.
  6. As for what Moriah does with her stuff, you eventually manage to wheedle out of her that she’s gifted with the power of death. As in, death magic.

  9.
  10. As cool as it sounds though, she doesn’t ever broach the subject, and always shuts down the conversation when you ask about it.

  12. Borislav is another good source for magic learning, though you mostly focus on your landmaster nature crap with him. His English and your Russian improving, you start to actually be able to get some fine detail from him one on one. Anyway, you didn’t really pick it up before since you weren’t living in Muir Woods, but now that you kind of own San Fransisco, you’re in an area you control 24/7. You can actually practice a lot of the stuff Borislav tells you about. You get good at sensing life and distinguishing from stuff that belongs in the city versus stuff that’s just visiting, or from somewhere else entirely.
  13.
  14. And spending more time with your summons, you start getting a better handle on them. Like, your imp actually does what you want it to do, now. And you have this cool thing you can do where you kind of get in its head, and see what it sees and make it do stuff, even when you’re far away. Your tiger is more independent, but maybe that’s because you haven’t spent too much time with it yet. Also, it isn’t a tiger. No one but Mr. Crowther knew anything about it, but apparently it’s a Shalbaan – some kind of creature from some horrible awesome place in hell called the Abyssal Plains that kills something like, fifty percent of the people that go there.

  16. ----- END OF THE MISSING PART
  17.
  18. Anyway, all that stuff aside, you’re lazing around the house in your PJ’s enjoying Christmas vacation.
