(Living room)

(Halloween night, the kids are all dressed up in their costumes: Sonic is a soldier, Tails is a leather-jacket WWI pilot, Knuckles is a karate master, Amy is a mummy, Rouge is a cop, and Cream is a princess. Each are holding little baskets for their candies)

Kevin: Anyone need to be changed?

(The kids shook their heads)

Kevin: Good. (calling back out) Vanilla, they're ready!

Vanilla: (calling back) Coming.

(In the bathroom, Shadow is wearing a vampire costume, he is sitting on the toilet with his pull-on training pants at his ankles)

Vanilla: All done going potty, Shadow?

Shadow: (nods head) All done.

(Vanilla takes Shadow off and flushes the toilet, Shadow pulls up his pants)

(Vanilla and Shadow run to the kids)

Vanilla: Sorry. Long potty break.

Kyle: Okay, now that we're ready. Let's go. Remember, go to each house and say 'Trick or Treat' and the goodness will come.
Tails: Power tools?
Rouge: Jewels?
Cream: Ice cream?
Amy: A coupon for a date? (nuzzles against an uncomfortable Sonic)
Kyle: Uh, no. Candies.

(The kids look at each other… and cheer)

Kevin: (opens the door leading to the dark outside) And nothing will get in our way.

(Thunder crashes… lighting strikes… it rains… it DOWNPOURS!!! All the trick or treaters who were already outside run back into their own homes or in their cars)

Kevin: … well… a little rain wouldn't hurt anybody--
Vanilla: Forget it, Kevin! They'll all catch a cold in seconds. (to kids) Sorry kiddies, but there's no trick or treating today.

(The kids look shocked as Vanilla closes the door)

(Later, the kids, still wearing their costumes, are in the nursery room as they watch the rain fall outside, some are sad and others are angry)

Sonic: It's no fair. Last time there was Halloween, I was sick. This year, it's raining.
Amy: Aww, ya were sick? With what?
Sonic: … diarrhea.
Shadow: Eww, gwahd I-- (spits out fake vampire teeth) Glad I went potty.
Rouge: (slumps on the edge of the bed) Now what do we do?

(Knock at the door)

Sonic: (military voice) Enter!

(Kyle comes in with the large basket of candy he was gunna use to pass out to incoming trick or treaters while Kevin and Vanilla took the kids out. Since it was raining, the candy is theirs… and he's got a book behind his back)

Kyle: Hey, kids, I'm terribly sorry for tonight. I know how badly you wanted to go trick or treating.
Cream: (sniffles) Yeah. It was m first time, too.
Kyle: Well, I had a chat with Kevin and Vanilla and we decided what we could do to brighten your spirits. Happy Halloween.

(Kyle puts an equal amount of different candies into each of their baskets)

Amy: (Unwraps some of the mummy cloth off her hands) Thankies. (eats one)
Shadow: (sighs) Is that it?
Kyle: (shakes head) Nope. Tonight, I'm going to read you guys a true horrifying Halloween story.

(Kyle sits on the edge of the bed and holds out the book he was holding, the kids sit around him and slowly eat one of their candy pieces like popcorn at a movie)

Kyle: (opens up the book) This was a horror story written many many years ago and is still considered the most scary stories to date. Ladies and gentlebabies, I bring you… Bram Stoker's "Dracula." (clears throat) So sit back and enjoy the story.

(Kyle opens to the first page)

Kyle: (reading) Chapter one, Jonathan Harker's Journal, kept on shorthand. (pause) May third, Bistritz. Left Munich at 8.35 p.m. on 1st May, arriving at Vienna early next morning; should have arrived at 6.46, but train was an hour late.

(Ripple-effect)

(Old English dark forest at night)

(A horse-drawn carriage drives through a creepy-looking forest road)

Kyle: (voice-over, reading) Budapest seems a wonderful place, from the glimpse which I got of it from the train and the little I could walk through the streets.

(Inside the carriage is Sonic the Hedgehog wearing an old English suit, and bulky in the midsection due to his diapers, he is reading a note)

Shadow: (voice-over, reading the note) My friend-- Welcome to the Carpathians. I am anxiously expecting you. Sleep well tonight. At three tomorrow the diligence will start for Bukovina; a place on it is kept for you. At the Borgo Pass my carriage will await you and will bring you to me. I trust that your journey from London has been a happy one, and that you will enjoy your stay in my beautiful land. Your friend, Dracula

(the carriage stops at a dark mysterious castle, Sonic steps out with his luggage)

Sonic: (gulps)

(Sonic slowly approaches the castle doors. Just as he was about to grab the large knocker, the door opens on its own… then, stepping out is Shadow the Hedgehog, wearing a tuxedo and a cape)

Shadow: Ah, Mister Harker. Velcome to my castle.
Sonic: Count Dracula. It's an honor to meet you.
Shadow: Yes, it is. Please, come inside.

(Shadow directs Sonic inside, the door close behind them)

(Inside, Shadow leads Sonic into an empty room)

Shadow: Here is your chambers, Mister Harker.
Sonic: Thank you. And please call me Jonathan.

(Sonic sets his bags down and looks in a mirror to fix his quills, wolves are heard outside)

Shadow: The children of the night make their music.
Sonic: Uh, I guess so. (looks in mirror, speaks to self) What the?

(Shadow casts no reflection)

Sonic: (Sonic runs hands through hair) Ow! I cut my neck on my quill.
Shadow: (speeds up next to him) Yeah, such painful. (hypnotized at the small blood stain) Such… red… blood. (lunges his face to it, then snaps back) Ow!

(close up on Sonic's neck showing he was wearing a Cross necklace)

Sonic: Count Dracula?
Shadow: I must go. Enjoy your stay, Jonathan Harker.

(Shadow leaves)

(Sonic shrugs his shoulders then looks out the window… then he is shocked to see Shadow climb out the window and climb downwards on the outside castle walls)

Sonic: Whoa! How can he do that?

(Later, deeper in the castle, sonic wanders around until he finds a library, which has a coffin in the middle)

Sonic: Okay… you can do this, Jonathan Harker. Be brave. (lifts the coffin lid and inside is Shadow asleep)

(giggles in the background)

Sonic: Hmm? (follows the sound of the giggling)

(in the coffin, just as Sonic left, Shadow's eyes SNAP open)

(Deeper in the castle, Sonic enters in a room which looks like a honeymoon suite)

Sonic: Who's there?

(Suddenly, three female bats, not Rouge, pop outta nowhere and surround Sonic… they hug him and kiss him)

(Sonic is trembling, forced to the bed)

Shadow: Stop! (floats to them) He is mine!

Bat 1: How would you know?! You don't know how to love!
Sonic: Count? (looks at Shadow in horror)

(Shadow looks at Sonic and laughs evilly)

Kyle: (reading, voice-over) there was no door near them, and they could not have passed me without my noticing. They simply seemed to fade into the rays of the moonlight and pass out through the window, for I could see outside the dim, shadowy forms for a moment before they entirely faded away. Then the horror overcame me, and I sank down unconscious.

(Ripple-effect)

(The kids are gathered around and enjoying the story)

Kyle: I hope this isn't too scary for you, kids.
Kids: No way!
Kyle: Good… if Vanilla found out I was reading you this, she'll personally taxidermy me.
Sonic: Taxidermy?
Tails: It means she'll stuff Kyle and put him on display.
Sonic: Oh... (shutters) I don't wanna think of that. Uh, continue, Kyle.
Kyle: Sure thing. Now, where was I? Oh yeah. (reading) Letter from Miss Mina Murray to Miss Lucy Westenra. 9 May. My dearest Lucy,-- Forgive my long delay in writing, but I have been simply overwhelmed with work.
Amy: (voice-over, merging with Kyle's) The life of an assistant schoolmistress is sometimes trying.

(Ripple-effect)

(Amy Rose and Rouge the Bat, wearing old English dresses but their baby diapers are still visible, are sitting on a bench in the gardens back in London)

Amy: Oh, Lucy, it's been a while since Jonathan wrote back. What if he's forgotten me?
Rouge: Oh, that nonsense, Mina. He does have to secure that real-estate business. It might take a while.
Amy: Yeah, you're right. But I keep getting a chill every time Jonathan mentions that strange person's name... Count Dracula... whoever he is, he must be keeping Jonathan busy.
Rouge: I'm sure everything will be just fine, Miss Mina Murray.

(Cut to an insane asylum, Tails is wearing an opened scrubs uniform with his diaper showing, and he's looking in a cell with an insane person, Trent)

Tails: You're showing no improvement, Reinfeld.
Trent: I can't change! I must serve my master!
Tails: You've been saying that for a long time.

(Suddenly, a fly flies through the cell. Trent snatches it and eats it)

Tails: And you've been doing that for a long time as well.

(Trent sees a spider and tries to grab it; Tails gets it first and starts to throw it out the window)

Trent: No, doctor! No! Don't throw my spider away! No! Oh, doctor!
Tails: You should be ashamed! Now you want spiders! What's wrong? Flies aren't good enough anymore?
Trent: Flies? Poor, puny things! Who wants to eat flies?
Tails: You do!
Trent: Not when I can have nice, fat spiders!
Tails: Have it your way…

(Tails turned and walked into his office, he started writing in his journal)

Tails: (voice-over) 25 May.--Ebb tide in appetite today. Cannot eat, cannot sleep, so diary instead. I questioned him more fully than I had ever done, with a view to making myself a master of the facts of his hallucination. What I think of on this point is, when self is the fixed point in the centripetal force is balanced with the centrifugal; when duty, a cause, etc., is the fixed point, the latter force is paramount, and only accident or a series of accidents can balance it.

(Angle on diary, Tails signs the end of his diary entry with "Dr. John Seward")

(Cut to a shipyard at night, where a mysterious ship stops on the dock with no one visible. Kyle and Ryan board the ship and see how deserted it looks)

Kyle: This is odd.
Ryan: Seems like the ship set sail without a crew.

(Kyle then spots something on the ground)

Kyle: What's this?

(Kyle picks it up and sees it's a book)

Kyle: (without looking back) Whitby, I seem to have found the Captain's log.
Ryan: (calling back) And I seem to have found the Captain, Varna.

(Kyle looks up and stands next to Ryan)

Kyle: Whoa!

(The captain, a large bat furry, is hanging on the foremast, dead, Kyle opens the log)

Ryan: What's it say?
Kyle: (reading) Written 18 July, things so strange happening, that I shall keep accurate note henceforth till we land. On 6 July we finished taking in cargo, silver sand and boxes of earth. At noon set sail. East wind, fresh. Crew, five hands,… two mates, cook, and myself (captain). (gulps in fear) On 13 July passed Cape Matapan. Crew dissatisfied about something. Seemed scared, but would not speak out. (pause, reads the rest in fear) Oh man!
Ryan: What?
Kyle: Each crew member disappeared one-by-one. (looks at the captain's corpse) After the captain was the last one, his last entry was inspecting the cargo of the ship.

(Thud! Kyle and Ryan snap their heads to see a wolf jump off the ship, onto the dock, and ran into the dark forest. The two stood on the deck scared)

(Ripple-effect)

(Back in the nursery)

Kyle: Well, you guys enjoying this so far?

(The kids look scared)

Kyle: We can stop if you want.
Kids: NO!!! Continue!
Kyle: Well, we gotta stop for a second because I heard a hissing sound.

(Rouge blushes)

Rouge: I got scared.
Kyle: (picks Rouge up) I'll be right back.

(Kyle and Rouge leave, leaving the babies alone in the quiet dark nursery except for the small spotlight and the rain coming down hard outside)

(Pause of pure silence)

Sonic: Um... Shadow... did you beat that desert level yet in your game?
Shadow: Uh, yeah, two days ago at Ryan's birthday party.
Sonic: (pause) uh... that's nice.
Shadow: (pause) Sure was.

(Silence... FINALLY, Kyle and Rouge comes back)

Kyle: Sorry about that. If Rouge was an Indianapolis Colt, she'd be Adam Vinatieri.
Sonic: Huh?
Kyle: Rouge kept on kicking, not giving me clear room to change her.
Rouge: I was not!
Kyle: (chuckles) Sure, ya were. (sets her down) Okay, back to the book.

(Kyle picks up the book and opens it up to the next part)

Kyle: Here we are… (reading) Mina Murray's Journal. Same day, 11 o'clock p.m.--Oh, but I am tired! If it were not that I have made my diary a duty I should not open it tonight.

(Ripple-effect)

(Night at the mansion… Knuckles the Echidna, wearing an old English suit, but obviously bulky due to his diapers, is sitting in a chair across from Amy)

Amy: (voice-over) Lucy is asleep and breathing softly. She has more colour in her cheeks than usual, and looks, oh, so sweet. If Mr Holmwood fell in love with her seeing her only in the drawing-room, I wonder what he would say is he saw her now.

(Knux takes a sip of tea)

Knuckles: So, Jonathan Harker still hasn't written back to you?
Amy: No, and I'm getting worried. It's not really him to wait this long when responding to my letters. I sure hope he's alright, Holmwood.
Knuckles: I'm sure he is. But we could always send out a search party if you want.
Amy: Um, maybe later. I might be over exaggerating. (yawns) Well, I better get some sleep.

(meanwhile, in Rouge's bedroom, Rouge is fast asleep… suddenly, the windows slowly creak open and a small draft of wind blows in)

Shadow: (whispering echo) Lucy… Lucy Westenra.

(Rouge slowly leans up and looks out the window as the wind blows in)

Shadow: (whispering echo) Lucy Westenra…

(Rouge gets up and looks out the window into the empty garden)
Shadow: (whispering echo) Come here…

(hypnotized, Rouge walks out of her room)

(back with Amy, she waves Knuckles good bye, then she turns and walks in and starts heading up the stairs)

Amy: Lucy? Are you still asleep? (peeks in Rouge's bedroom and saw the bed was empty) Lucy? (rushes in) Lucy?

(Amy then noticed the open window… she looks out and sees Rouge sleepwalking into the garden)

Amy: Lucy? (runs out, down the stairs, and into the garden) Lucy?!

(Amy runs through the garden and finds Rouge resting on the bench curled up, she wakes Rouge up)

Amy: Lucy, you alright?
Rouge: (opens her eyes) Yeah, I think so… how did I end up out here?
Amy: You were sleepwalking.

(Amy then noticed a bite mark on Rouge's neck)

Amy: Lucy, that happened to your neck?
Rouge: Huh?
Amy: Never mind, let me get you inside.

(Amy helps Rouge up and they go back inside together)

(Pan behind a garden statue to see Shadow, completely naked, hanging off the statue in an impossible way)

Shadow: (growls) At leased I still got my pray at home.

(Cut to Dracula's castle in Transylvania)

(out of one of the windows, Sonic is climbing out trying to keep his balance)

Sonic: Come on, Jonny, you can do this…

(Sonic makes it down the gutter, slides down, then drops right into the river below where he is swept away)

(Cut to the insane asylum)

Trent: (hanging upside down in his cell) I don't want to talk to you, you don't count down, the Master is at hand.

(Tails, standing outside the cell, is scratching his chin while watching him)

Tails: (in thought) 19 August--Strange and sudden change in Renfield last night. About eight o'clock he began to get excited and to sniff about as a dog does when setting.
Trent: (snaps to Tails) Bother them all! I don't care a pin about them!
Tails: What? You don't mean to tell me you don't care about spiders?
Trent: The bride-maidens rejoice the eyes that wait the coming of the bride; but when the bride draweth nigh, then the maidens shine not to the eyes that are filled.

(Tails scratches his head, he turns back to his office where he finds a telegram on his desk)

Tails: Hello. (reads the telegram) Oh no!

(Tails grabs his stuff and begins to head out, passing Trent's cell)

Trent: (snatches one of Tails' tails, holding him in place) I shall be patient, Master. It is coming--coming--coming!

(Tails wagged his tail free and ran out, leaving the echo of Trent's maniacal laughter)

(Cut to Rouge's bedroom where Rouge is acting strange in bed, Amy by one side, Knuckles by another, and Tails just ran in)

Tails: I arrive as soon as I got the telegram.
Knuckles: Doctor John Seward?
Tails: Yes.
Knuckles: I'm Honorable Arthur Holmwood.
Tails: Nice to meet you, Holmwood. What seems to be the problem?
Amy: Lucy went sleepwalking last night and I found a bite mark on her neck, and she's been acting weird lately.
Rouge: I have not! (looks at Tails lovingly)
Tails: Miss Westenra, if you don't mind, I must do some tests on you. Mina, Arthur, would you excuse us?

(Amy and Knuckles exit the room)

Amy: You think she will be alright?
Knuckles: I honestly don't know.

(Pause… after a while of waiting, Tails walks into the hall to meet the two)

Knuckles: How is she, doctor?
Tails: I'm afraid I can't say for sure. I've never seen such stuff like this before. It's weird.
Amy: Will she be alright?
Tails: By me, I dunno. (pause) However… I do know someone who might be able to help.
Knuckles: Really? Who?
Tails: He was me teacher in med school, best ever. An expert in this sorta thing. (points thumb at Rouge's closed bedroom door) His name is Abraham Van Helsing… I'll go get him right now.

(Tails turns and leaves)

(Next, we see a college-like classroom and in the spotlight is Kevin dressed in a professor's white coat. The chalkboards are full of info and pics of vampire bats)

Kevin: That will be all for today.

(The class gets up and leaves, then Kevin walks into his office and finds a telegram on it)

Kevin: Hello, what's this? (reads the telegram) Hmm, interesting... I'm on my way.

(Cut to outside the mansion... "The Exorcist" theme plays... a coach stops right next to the mansion and Kevin walks out toward it wearing a hat, a coat, and a briefcase just like Father Merrin)

(In the mansion, Amy opens the door)

Amy: Proferssor Van Helsing?
Kevin: (walks in taking off his hat) That's me. You must be Miss Mina Murray.
Amy: Yup.
Tails: Professor, it's good to see you again.
Kevin: Good to see you too, John Seward. (to Knux) And who might you be?
Knuckles: I'm the Honorable Arthur Holmwood.

(Then a white hedgehog with a wierd hair do, wearing a diaper, cowboy vest, and cowboy boots walks in... it's Silver, and he's carrying a suitcase)

Silver: Where do ya want it, Professor?
Kevin: Leave it there. (to the rest) And this is my assistant, Quincey Morris.
Silver: How do ya'll do?
Kevin: Tell me, where is the subject?

(Later, Kevin walks out of Rouge's bedroom and stares at the babies horrified)

Kevin: It's worse than I thought. She has become infected by the vampire.
Amy: (confused) The what?
Tails: (in shock) The WHAT?!
Kevin: The vampire, originated by the vampire bat. They are nocturnal creatures of the un-dead. They thrive on the blood of its victims to keep their own blood stream moving. They are immortal, lifeless beings.
Tails: But professor, vampires are a myth!
Kevin: I am conivnced that the superstition of yesterday can become the scientific reality of today. She lost a lot of blood, yes? Where did it go?
Knuckles: Will Lucy be alright?
Kevin: Hard to say. Depends how much the vampire drained out of her and how much the vampire fed her.
Amy: Fed her?
Kevin: If a vampire bites you... you die. But if a vampire bites you and feeds you their own blood, then that victim will also become a vampire.
Amy: Become a vampire?!
Kevin: But not yet... Westenra hasn't had the full dose yet. But when she does... she will become one!

(Cut to: Sonic is weakly jogging through the forest of Transylvania until he comes across an old church)

Sonic: (knocks on the door) Hello?

(the door opens and Sonic is led in)

(Cut to: the mansion, Amy opens a letter from her mailbox, she opens it and reads it)

Amy: (reading, in thought) Dear Madam,-- I write by desire of Mr Jonathan Harker, who is himself not strong enough to write, though progressing well, thanks to God and St Joseph and Ste Mary. He has been under our care for nearly six weeks, suffering from a violent brain fever. He wishes me to coney his love, and to say that by this post I write for him to Mr Peter Hawkins, Exeter, to say, with his dutiful respects, that he is sorry for his delay, and that all his work is completed. He will require some few weeks' rest in our sanatorium in the hills, but will then return. He wishes me to say that he has not sufficient money with him, and that he would like to pay for his staying here, so that others who need shall not be wanting for help. (Amy hugs the letter, then Knux walks up to her)

Knuckles: Miss Murray, you okay?
Amy: Jonathan Harker is alive and well... and I'm going to go to him right now.

(Amy runs in the mansion and runs back out with a suitcase)

Amy: (waves arm) Over here!

(A coach arrives, Amy steps in, and the coach leaves)

Knuckles: Seems like the day is going well.

(Late that night, Rouge is asleep... then the windows crack open slowly and Shadow floats his way inside... exposing his teeth as he moves to Rouge)

(The next day, Kevin, Tails, Knuckles, and Silver are gathered around the dead Rouge)

Tails: Will she rise as a vampire, Professor?
Kevin: Hard to say this early. The most we can do is bury her in the crypt.
Silver: Hey, where's Miss Murray?
Knuckles: She's becoming Mises Harker.

(Cut to the church where Sonic and Amy are getting married... Sonic is in full health)

Priest: You may now kiss the bride.

(Sonic and Amy are about to kiss...)

(Nursery...)

Sonic: Eww! That's disgusting!
Kyle: Sorry, Sonic, but that's the way the story goes.
Amy: Well, I like it.
Sonic: You would.
Kyle: Be nice. (looks at the pages) Ohh, okay, where's where we last left off. (reading) Dr Seward's Diary. 20 September.--Only resolution and habit can let me make an entry tonight. I am too miserable, too low-spirited, too sick of the world and all in it, including like itself, that I would not care if I heard this moment the flapping of the wings of the angel of death.

(Ripple-effect, at the mansion)

Knuckles: Well, I got Mina's letters. She's married to Jonathan Harker now.
Tails: I knew those two would get hitched. Too bad Lucy never got to see it.

(Suddenly, Silver comes running in with a newspaper in his hand)

Silver: Guys, something strange is happening! (opens newspaper) "We have just received intelligence that another child, missed last night, was only discovered late in the morning under a furze bush at the Shooter's Hill side of Hampstead Heath, which is, perhaps, less frequented than the other parts. It has the same time wound in the throat as has been noted in other cases." (to the guys) That vampire that got Lucy has gotten those children.
Kevin: (shakes head) No... I saw the bite marks on Lucy and on those kids... different sizes. The kids match Lucy... whoever got Lucy is still out there.
Knuckles: So, what do we do?
Kevin: Go right to the source.

(Late at night at the cemetary... Kevin, Tails, Silver, and Knuckles are in Rouge's crypt where a coffin is)

Kevin: Pry it open.

(The four surround the coffin and flip the lid open... they GASP!)

All: It's empty!

(The coffin is empty)

Silver: Now what do we do?
Kevin: This isn't odd. Vampires can only move in the night time, and sunrise is coming soon.
Knuckles: Are you sure you're not toying with us?

(Suddenly, they heard the sound of a door opening behind them... they turn around and saw... Rouge... with a scared Cream in her arms)

Rouge: Why hello everyone. (exposing her vampire teeth) Care for a bite? (snarls)
Kevin: Back! (whips out a crucifix and holds it up to Rouge)
Rouge: (hisses and back away) Keep that away!
Knuckles: Miss Westenra... just drop the child... let the child go.

(Rouge snarls again... then then puts Cream on the floor and the little rabbits runs away in fear)

Rouge: Time for my slumber...

(Rouge then casually crawls in the coffin and the lid closes automatically)

Knuckles: What just happened?
Kevin: There are many ways to kill a vampire. Beheading, stake through the heart, holy water, crucifix...
Kids: Ewww!
Kevin: (opens the coffin releaving the sleeing Rouge) It's gotta get done. (holds out the stake) Who wants to do it?
Knuckles: (gulps) I'll do it.

(Knux takes the steak, arches his arms back, and RAMS IT in Rouge's chest)

Vanilla: (voice-over) Kyle!
All: (look around confused) Wha?

(Nursery... Vanilla is at the door)

Vanilla: I said no scary stories!

(She takes the book)

Kyle: But, Vanilla, this is a classic!
Vanilla: You'll give them nightmares!
Kyle: Come on! It's not like a gory slasher movie with a guy in a hockey mask!
Vanilla: No! Vampires, indeed! (leaves with the book)
Kids: Aww...
Kyle: Don't worry, I've got a plan!

(Cut to bookcase, Kyle pulls "Dracula" out and puts in a paper-back dictionary)

(Nursery)

Kyle: So, where were we? Oh yeah! (reading) Dr Seward's Diary... When we arrived at the Berkeley Hotel, Van Helsing found a telegram waiting for him:--'Am coming up by train. Jonathan at Whitby. Important news.--MINA HARKER.' The Professor was delighted.

(Ripple-effect)

(At the insane asylum, Tails looks at the empty jail cell frantically)

Tails: What do you mean Renfield escaped?
Marine: (shrugs) The cell was pried open. Bars were bent like cheese!
Tails: We gotta find him!

(Tails rushes outside)

(Outside... Trent literally crawls to a shadowy figure)

Trent: Master, I only wish to serve you.

(Light is shown on the figure which happens to be Shadow)

Shadow: I know you mean the best, my pet Renfield. You'll get a second chance. Harker escaped from me and married that Mina Murray. Once I have Miss Murray, I'll come for you.
Trent: Oh, thank you, master.

(Tails then runs up to Trent)

Tails: Renfield! What are you doing out here?

(Trent looks around and noticed Shadow was gone)

Trent: I only wish to serve the master!
Tails: Renfield, there is no master and he ain't out here. Now, get back in your cell.
Trent: But--
Tails: Move it!

(Trent is taken back inside with Tails... we pan up to see Shadow hanging in the tree)

Shadow: So, Doctor Seward, dare to confront me? We shall see about that.

(jumps and flies away)

(Next scene... Kevin, Tails, Knuckles, and Silver are at the train station just as a
train stops where Sonic and Amy walk out)

Tails: Oh, it's great to be back home, isn't it Mister and Misses Harker?
Sonic: It sure is.
Amy: I heard about Lucy... so sad. (Sonic hugs her)
Sonic: So, who might you two be?
Kevin: I am Professor Abraham Van Helsing. (points at Silver) And this is Quincey Morris. Come Mister and Misses Harker, there is plenty of work that has to be done.

(The six turn and leave the station to an awaiting coach... as the coach rides away, we see Shadow hanging in a tree staring at them)

Shadow: Well, that is Mina Harker, hmm? It seems I might have myself another bride.

(Shadow flies off into the camera, which wipes to the next scene)

(The furries are in the mansion as Knux is sitting in the chair very sad)

Amy: Arthur, what's wrong?
Knuckles: My father died.
Amy: Oh, I'm sorry.
Knuckles: It's okay. In his honor, I've changed my name to his... I'm now known as Lord Godalming.
Amy: Good for you, Lord Godalming. Excuse me while I freshen up.

(Amy walks upstairs, to her bedroom, and in the bathroom. She stands on the stool in front of the sink and washes her face a bit... the door creeks open)

Amy: Jonathan, is that you? (looks in the mirror and sees the door open... but no relection) What? No reflection?

(Amy turns around and sees... Shadow! He's leaning by the door frame.)

Shadow: Hello there Misses Mina Harker.
Amy: ... I know you. You are Count Dracula, the vampire who weakened Jonathan and kept him. You nearly killed him.
Shadow: Isn't that the point? (rubs his hand on Amy's neck) No one understands the true facts of the vampire... we hunt and drink blood to supply ourselves. We can survive for a number of months before we must get our blood flowing. You mortals have it made. You have an endless supply that pumps by itself and replenishes if lost.
Amy: ... get away from me!
Shadow: (floats above her) Oh, pardon me... I talk too much. I shall skip to the goods. (extends his two canines, exposing vampire teeth)

(Downstairs, Silver comes rushing in)

Silver: Van Helsing, all the night watchmen outside are dead! Their necks have been bitten wide open!

(Amy's scream is heard from above... Kevin, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Silver rush upstairs into Amy's bedroom... immediately, they find Shadow with yellow eyes and blood-soaked teeth)

Shadow: (hiss) Leave me be!
Kevin: (flashes his crucifix at Shadow) Back off, vampire!
Shadow: (hiss and backs away) You'll never stop me!

(Shadow then jumps out the window and turns into a bat and flies away)

Sonic: Mina? (hold a pale-scared Amy) Mina?!
Amy: (comes to) Jonathan? Guys? I'm glad you burst in when ya did? (looks at the window) Where do ya suppose he went?
Kevin: (looks out the window) A certain place for the daylight. Of course, he must be cept in certain conditions like a coffin and soil.
Tails: Soil? A while ago, a ship came in carrying boxes of Earth!
Kevin: That must be it! We gotta destroy it.
Sonic: What about Mina?
Amy: What about me?
Kevin: (kneels to Amy) I'm sorry, but we must lure Dracula away from the soil we must destroy. But relax, I know how to protect you.
Amy: How?

(Scene changes... there is a shape of a cross literally cut into Amy's forehead)

Amy: Where should I go?
Kevin: Stay here while we go get to that ship.
Tails: Lemee get some of my medical supplies first. (leaves)

(Tails arrives at the insane asylum in total shock staring at a cell)

Tails: Oh no! How could this have happened?
Marine: (assistant nurse wearing a scrubs uniform) I dunno. He was alive minutes ago.

(We see that Trent is laying dead in his cell... he's got two bite marks on his neck and is very very pale)

Tails: Did he do or say anything out of the ordinary?
Marine: You mean more than usual?
Tails: Oy, did he?
Marine: He mentioned something about his master taking his bride and leaving for the boat.
Tails: WHAT?!

(Tails immediately packs his stuff and rushes out the door)

Marine: (calling) What dod I do with the body?
Tails: (calling back) Deliver him to the morgue!

(The whole gang, minus Amy, is outside the mansion)

Kevin: Whoa, whoa whoa. You're saying that Renfield is dead and that the ship will leave with the boxes of Earth?
Tails: Exactly! We gotta hurry and get Dracula

(A laugh is heard from above! The gang looks up and sees Shadow with large bat-like wings fly away, dissapearing in the distance)

Sonic: Dracula! (begins to run, but Kevin stops him)
Kevin: No, the Count would expect us to follow him. He knows we could easily reach him to the dock before he sets sail... so he must have already set sail.
Knuckles: But where is he going?
Tails: I can answer that... he'll go back to his home.
Sonic: I've been there. Transylvania.
Silver: So, how do we get to Transylvania?

(Next scene, the gang are riding on separate horses... well, Kevin's on a horse with Amy, the rest are on small pony's... the gang speeds down the dark roads through the forest as the snow begins to fall)

(Ripple-effect)

(Back at the nursery, the door knocks)

Kevin: Kyle, are you scaring the children?
Kyle: (hides book behind his back) Of course not.
Kevin: ... (opens door) But it's Halloween... ya could read them a scary story or something.
Kyle: ... oh. (holds up the "Dracula" book) I am.
Kevin: (smiles) There's the Halloween spirit! (sits on the floor and listens to the story as well)
Kyle: (reading) Dr Sewards' Diary. 11 October, Evening.--Jonathan Harker has asked me to note this, as he says he is hardly equal to the task, and he wants an exact record kept.

(Ripple-effect)

(In the cold mountains of Transylvania, everyone except Sonic are on their horses. Sonic jumps off of a cliff-face and lands right in front of the gang.)

Tails: Well?
Sonic: Dracula must be heading back to his castle using the ship he came in with.
Kevin: Okay, I'll take Mina with me at Dracula's castle. The rest of you guys should catch the ship at the dock when it arrives.

(Sonic mounts his pony and they all left in different directions)

(Cut to: Dracula's castle, Kevin and Amy, on the same horse, stop just short of the castle back yard)

Amy: ... no.
Kevin: What?
Amy: Dracula's not here... something else is.

(Suddenly, the back doors start to break open, and the three bats from earlier, Dracula's brides, begin breaking through)

(Kevin gets off his horse and sprinkles some powder in a circle around him and Amy)

Kevin: Back off!

(Just as the brides burst through the door, the circle around Kevin and Amy alit in flames! Kevin then flashes his cross at them, and the three hiss and moves back into the castle)

Amy: Now what?
Kevin: Now, to finish them. (pulls out a wooden stake, jumps through the fire, and chases after the three bats)

(Amy awaits as three cries of pain are heard one at a time)

Kevin: (walks back out) They're gone, but Count Dracula's not even here.
Amy: Then where is he?

(At the docks, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Silver arrive just in time to intercept the ship)

Sonic: Come on, let's get him!

(The four race onto the ship and start destroying all the boxes of Earth)

Knuckles: (calling) Problem! Dracula's not here.
Tails: (looks at the ground) But he WAS here. (gasps) The castle!

(The four get back on their pony's and ride off in the falling snow just as the sun is beginning to rise)

(At the castle, Kevin and Amy wait patiently at the front steps... then, Amy gasps)

Amy: Count Dracula! (points) He's coming!

(Indeed, Shadow is flying to his castle toward the two)

(Not too far away, the four furries are speeding through the forest on their pony's)

Sonic: Come on Seward, Godalming, and Quincey!
Tails: With ya, Harker!
Knuckles: Right behind ya!
Silver: No turning back now!

(Shadow lands at the front steps of his castle and faces Kevin and Amy)

Shadow: You killed my brides... you're next!

(Suddenly, the four burst through the gates and charge at Shadow)

Sonic: Charge!

(Shadow swipes Tails across easily, but is them pummeled by Knuckles and Sonic. Just as Shadow kicked the two off, Kevin assaulted him from behind! Just as Kevin was holding Shadow, Tails jumped on his as well... then Silver attacked Shadow from the front just as Kevin was knocked off... quickly, with his free arm, he grab's Silver's head and BITES his neck!)

Silver: AAH!!!
Kevin: Quincey! (hits Shadow on the back of the head, droping Silver)

(Tails and Knuckles used their combined efforts to tackle Shadow)

Sonic: This is for my wife! (raises steak)

(Just as Shadow threw Tails and Knuckles off, Sonic STABS the wooden steak into Shadow's chest)

Shadow: (gasping) Darn you all... (falls over and turns to dust)

(It's all silent for a minute...)

(Then, Amy gets up and runs into Sonic's arms and the two hug)

Kevin: Quincey?
Silver: (gasping) I am only too happy to have been of any service! Oh, God!

(points at Amy) It was wirth this to die! Look! Look!

(The gang looks up at the castle as the sun rises)

Kyle: (voice-over) The sun was now right down upon the mountain top, and the red gleams fell upon my face, so that it was bathed in rosy light. With one impulse the men sank on their knees and a deep and earnest 'Amen' broke from all as their eyes followed the pointing of his fingers as the dying man spoke:--
Silver: Now God be thanked that all has not been in vain! See! The snow is not more stainless than her forehead! The curse has passed away! (drops dead)
Kyle: (voice-over) And, to our bitter grief, with a smile and in silence, he died, a gallant gentleman.

(Riffle-effect back to the nursery)

Kyle: (still reading) Note... Seven years ago we all went through the flames; and the happiness of some of us since then is, we think, well worth the pain we endured. In the summer of this year we made a journey to Transylvania, and went over the old ground which was, and is, to us so full of vivid and terrible memories. Whe we got home we got to talking of the old time--which we could all look back on without despair, for Godalming and Seward are both happily married. We could hardly ask anyone, even did we wish to, to accept these as proofs of so wild a story. Van Helsing summed it all up as he said, with our boy on his knee:-- (in Kevin's voice) 'We want no proofs; we ask none to believe us! This boy will some day know what a brave and gallant woman his mother is. Already he knows her sweetness and loving care; later on he will understand how some men so loved her, that they did dare much for her sake.' ... Jonathan Harker.

(Slowly, Kyle closes the book on the last page)

Sonic: That was an awesome story!
Shadow: Yeah! So what if it rained? This was the best Halloween ever!
Cream: (cheered up) It sure was. I wish all Halloweens were like this.
Kevin: (looks out the window) Well, it stopped raining a bit. We could squeeze in a few minutes of trick or treating.
Kids: Nah! (giggles)

(Kyle puts the book away)

Kyle: The night's still young. Let's say we pig out on candy.
Kids: YAY!

(Sonic however is seen at the door)

Kyle: Sonic, you okay?
Sonic: (turns and faces Kyle... he's got the pale face and fangs of a vampire) I have much to do.

(Sonic opens the nursery door... which leads to a desert... he is then seen running across the desert landscape into the distance. The sky is suddenly darkened by storm clouds, strains of Gounod's SANCTUS swell up)
