  4. [20:27:36] <GreenBridge> *Before the laundromat safehouse, back when there were only four of them, the gang had a different safehouse. It was little more than a tiny, dilapidated warehouse in a bad area of town, where people wouldn't ask questions. Aside from a garage, the only amenities were a storage space for their gear, a small vault, an enclosed, somewhat soundproofed firing range, and a small room with a table and chairs used to plan heists.*
  5. [20:27:42] <GreenBridge> *The gang has gathered in the latter room, doing a last minute review. At the center of the table is a speakerphone, and the enigmatic Bain is on the other end of the staticky line.*
  6. [20:27:51] <GreenBridge> Alright, quick review of the plan, guys. I know you guys know this by now, but it never hurts to go over it one last time, right?
  7. [20:27:52] <GreenBridge> We're going to extract a Chinese convict from a convoy of prison transports. We're gonna blow up part of Green Bridge, just enough to stop the rush hour traffic, and ambush the convoy.
  8. [20:28:22] <GreenBridge> There should be four prison transports on the scene. We don't know which one has our prisoner, so we'll need to saw all of them open. Use the code word 'Giant' to make sure you've got the right guy.
  9. [20:28:29] <GreenBridge> We'll take him to the top of the scaffolding at the nearby construction site, and use a fulton skyhook to lift the guy out of there.
  10. [20:28:37] <GreenBridge> Twitch will drive you in, but because of the traffic on the bridge, you won't be able to leave with the van. You guys will have to get to the northeast bridge tower, and take the stairs as far down as you can go. Scuba gear has been stashed there, and you'll jump into the water and be extracted by boat.
  11. [20:28:57] <GreenBridge> Expect heavy resistance. The prison trucks are guarded, and the explosion will no doubt attract a lot of attention. This is as loud as it gets, gentlemen. I know this isn't how we typically operate, but believe me, the payday for this one is gonna be worth it.
  12. [20:36:42] <GreenBridge> ((Alright, so for gear and stuff - since you pass by the van again, I'll say you can bring an alternate loadout / extra weapons / etc that you can swap on your way to the scaffolding if you like. Always bugs me when you can't do that ingame :p))
  13. [20:37:42] <GreenBridge> ((I mean, I won't let you go from a suit to an ICTV, because that'll take time))
  14. [20:38:10] <GreenBridge> ((But if you wanna bring a rocket launcher or a turret or something, I'm not gonna penalize you for it / make you lug it around))
  15. [20:40:55] <Dallas> *What kind of heat would Bain advise them to bring to the job? ARs?*
  16. [20:45:32] <GreenBridge> *The heaviest loudout you're comfortable using. If that's an assault rifle great; if it's a minigun or rocket launcher, even better.*
  17. [20:47:34] <Wolf> *XL it is :D*
  18. [20:56:53] <Dallas> *Dallas is bringing a Kalash of some kind, and a Bernetti for a sidearm.*
  19. [20:59:21] <Dallas> *The Deagles aren't a thing yet. He acquires them later, during the gray beard of sadness years.*
  20. [20:59:29] <Dallas> *Call it a mid-life crisis.*
  21. [21:00:17] <Hoxton> *Definitely not his usual modus operandi. So packing this many guns feels a little odd but if they are about to face down an entire squadron of cops, he likes to be prepared. He is bringing an AR, something along the lines of the Union. "Bloody thing needs to be decently accurate." and packs an SMG as sidearm. But he also straps an nice sniper rifle over his back. Who knows, might come in handy when they are on the bridge. He mutters on how wearing a thick vest diminishes his good looks.*
  22. [21:03:42] <Wolf> *Yeah, yeah. Wolf's gone all out. He's wearing heavy armor, a Microgun, with a Crosskill Pistol just for the hell of it. And some concussion grenades. Why not.*
  23. [21:04:16] <GreenBridge> *Chains is loaded for bear, bringing a Falcon battle rifle, a Grimm shotgun, and a GL-40. He's wearing his usual full-body ICTV.*
  24. [21:07:30] <Dallas> *They've gone over every inch of the plan, and Dallas is feeling confident about their chances. They're as ready as they'll ever be. He has no questions.*
  25. [21:10:02] <Hoxton> *Hox is good to go as well. The ponytail fastened tight, his mask ready on his belt. Time to make the masses swoon at the dashing rogues.*
  26. [21:11:14] <GreenBridge> *Oh, also. Bain's provided specs for the prison transport trucks; they're manufactured by the same company that does the RNGesus armored trucks, just with a different, refitted interior. https://imgur.com/TnlKNEh *
  27. [21:15:32] <GreenBridge> ((my personal headcanon is that they've got neoprene wetsuits under the raincoats because they go scuba diving as their escape, but I won't inflict that on you guys))
  28. [21:19:30] <Dallas> *Dallas gives his teammates a few words of encouragement. If anyone can pull this off, it's them. And on the off chance things go wrong, and they can't meet again, he tells them he's very proud of them all. Feel free to roll your eyes, gents. He just needs to say it.*
  29. [21:20:48] <GreenBridge> *He only gets a nod and a grunt from Chains, but he knows that means he feels the same way.*
  30. [21:22:27] <Hoxton> *Hox slaps him on his shoulder, grinning.* If anyone of us dies I'll kick their fucking ghost back into the bodies. We got this, fellas. And there better be a shitton of booze once we will be bloody dry again.
  31. [21:29:52] <Dallas> *Dallas has a couple chocolate bars in a waterproof baggie. To be handed out after the heist is over. Water's cold, brah. But he's said what he needs to.*
  32. [21:31:14] <Hoxton> *Hox is good to go as well. He might ask for one right now. Soothing nerves the best way. Aside from booze.*
  33. [21:31:50] <Dallas> *Good thing Dallas brought extras. He hands one to Hox, asks around. Anyone needing a little sugar boost before the heist gets one too.*
  34. [21:32:58] <GreenBridge> *Chains takes one, careful not to get any crumbs or smears on his gear.*
  35. [21:33:09] <Hoxton> *Hox more or less inhales the chocolate. he is tapping fingers on the windows. Eager to get this done.*
  36. [21:35:44] <GreenBridge> *Thunder, and then the glass starts tapping back as it starts to rain, hard. A torrential rainstorm is hardly the ideal environment for a job like this, but they have no choice; the convoy of prison transports keeps its own schedule, and they won't have another chance. *
  37. [21:39:52] <Dallas> *A look out the rain-blurred glass.* Jesus. Looks like it's raincoats, gentlemen.
  38. [21:40:22] <GreenBridge> *Rush hour traffic, plus the lane closures for construction on the bridge, have led to some horrendous stop-and-go traffic. It seems like an eternity before they reach the southbound lanes of the famous Green Bridge, and longer still until Bain radios in,* Alright, finally looks like everything's in position. Go ahead and blow it.
  39. [21:40:42] <Wolf> *WOLF DOES. AND HE DOES.*
  40. [21:43:31] <GreenBridge> *Not even a second after Wolf presses the button, there's a noise far louder than the distant, rolling thunder; accompanied by a deep vibration almost akin to a momentary earthquake. A chorus of slammed brakes, honks, and screaming fills the air.*
  41. [21:44:27] <Wolf> *Wolf lets out a little whoop. Yay for explosions.*
  42. [21:44:32] <Dallas> *Dallas steels himself against the rumble, flexing his fingers. Waiting for Bain to give them the go ahead.*
  43. [21:45:30] <Hoxton> Holy shite! *Hox holds onto the seat in front of him. A brief wide eyed look as he dons the mask. This bridge better not come drashing down*
  44. [21:47:49] <GreenBridge> *But before Bain can give the all clear, there's another explosion. A blinding ball of orange fire lights up the sky, wider than the six-lane span of the bridge, and the force of it sends cars flying. Most of the car windows within view shatter. It's accompanied by deafening groans of tortured metal as an entire section of the bridge, about four car-lengths, falls down into the choppy water beneath.*
  45. [21:48:16] <GreenBridge> *The source of the secondary explosion is soon revealed: a tanker truck, evidently carrying something explosive, was caught too close to their initial detonation.*
  46. [21:50:13] <Dallas> *Dallas lets out a startled curse.* Jesus fucking Christ! That was not-- Bain? Bain, what the hell was that?
  47. [21:50:30] <Wolf> .. I- I didn't do that- I-
  48. [21:50:48] <GreenBridge> *Bain radios in, cursing.* Fucking...I think a tanker truck got clipped by debris! This wasn't the plan! Fuck!
  49. [21:51:21] <GreenBridge> Get our guy outta there, quick! We don't have much time!
  50. [21:51:26] <Hoxton> *Hox yelps as the second shockwave hits, shielding his face with his arm. His stomach drops as he sees part of the bridge collapse* Holy SHITE. GUYS. IS THIS BLOODY THING SABLE?
  51. [21:51:31] <Hoxton> *Stable.
  52. [21:51:32] <Wolf> .. *He's got his mask on now.* Show must go on.
  53. [21:51:49] <Dallas> Ah, shit! *Dallas tugs the mask down over his face, jumps out of the van. Trying to get a look at the prison transport vehicles, make sure they didn't get caught in the explosion.*
  54. [21:52:14] <Dallas> *WOW, YEAH. Good question. How far away is the collapsed section?*
  55. [21:52:38] <GreenBridge> *Luckily, being a suspension bridge, the bridge seems stable enough for the moment.*
  56. [21:52:44] <Hoxton> *Hox scrambles out after them, taking out his AR. Ready to shoot...and scoot.*
  57. [21:53:35] <Dallas> *Dallas is already on the move, heading for the site of the explosion. Keeping an eye out for police cars or armed escort.*
  58. [21:54:18] <GreenBridge> As the gang makes their way forward, they move against a tide of civilians who've abandoned their cars to escape on foot.
  59. [21:54:19] <GreenBridge> It isn't long before the prison transport trucks become visible. Two of the prison transport trucks are relatively close by; the two others are much further up the bridge, close to the detonation. The third truck is further forward, and is flipped over on its side. The fourth van is right on the precipice of the destroyed section of the bridge.*
  60. [21:54:27] <GreenBridge> The two nearby trucks are surrounded by several confused and disoriented prison guards, as well as a number of their police escort. *
  61. [21:55:34] <Dallas> *Dallas roughly shoulders past one of the fleeing civilians. He's got his Kalash up, barking sharply* Out of the way, people! Stay out of our way! Stand clear!
  62. [21:56:19] <Hoxton> There! There they are! *He points at the trucks and curses.* And the bloody escort!
  63. [21:56:54] <GreenBridge> One of the cops spots the masked, armed figures advancing on the convoy, and starts to raise his weapon towards them.
  64. [21:59:44] <Dallas> *Dallas starts yelling.* Hands up! Put your fucking hands up, motherfucker!
  65. [22:01:02] <Hoxton> *Hox takes aim at the guard. Ready to shoot the wanker if he as much as twitches the trigger.*
  66. [22:02:45] <GreenBridge> *The cop is dazed from the explosion, and finds himself numbly complying with Dallas' command. A few of the smarter prison guards follow suit. However, there are a few other cops and guards who haven't gotten the message.*
  67. [22:04:10] <Wolf> *Wolf's got his pistol out now, headed towards the noncomplicent guards.* Did you fucking hear him?
  68. [22:04:14] <Hoxton> Oi ya wankers, hands off ya bloody guns! Or this will get fuckin messy! *he yells.*
  69. [22:05:26] <Dallas> *A sideways glance at the noncompliant officers, but his teammates are on it, so Dallas focuses on the others, shouting them down to the ground to relieve them of their weapons.*
  70. [22:05:32] <GreenBridge> ((Gimme a 1d6 for those trying to intimidate))
  71. [22:06:20] <Dallas> *Could I argue for 2d6? Domination is Dallas' thing, so to speak.*
  72. [22:06:34] <Dallas> !roll 2d6
  73. [22:06:35] <RNGesus> Dallas rolls the 2d6 and gets: 7 [2, 5]
  74. [22:07:02] <Hoxton> !roll 1d6
  75. [22:07:03] <RNGesus> Hoxton rolls the 1d6 and gets: 5 [5]
  76. [22:09:03] <GreenBridge> *These people are terrified into submission, giving up their weapons without even hesitating. However, there's a distant voice somewhere, and going by the number of cop cars on the bridge, there's one cop missing.
  77. [22:10:41] <Dallas> *Dallas throws their confiscated guns off the edge, then says to the other two--three* Looks like someone's playing hard to get. Find him.
  78. [22:11:32] <Hoxton> Fuck's sake! *Hoxton nods and goes to find the missing dwarf. AR ready, the back of his neck prickling.*
  79. [22:11:46] <GreenBridge> *Chains is busy setting up saws. So he's occupied anyways.*
  80. [22:17:55] <GreenBridge> *The voice suddenly goes quiet as Hoxton nears an abandoned minivan. For a moment it seems like he's lost the guy, but then a police dispatcher crackles over a radio. It's loud, and close.* I do not copy, say again?
  81. [22:17:55] <GreenBridge> *Resigning himself to his fate, the cop hiding on the other side of the van shouts into the radio.* IT'S THE CLOWNS. THEY BLEW UP FUCKING GREEN BRIDGE. SEND FUCKING EVERYBODY!!
  82. [22:19:54] <Hoxton> *Hox curses and dashes towards the voice. When he spots the lost cop, he goes for a mean hit with the butt end of his rifle.*
  83. [22:21:55] <GreenBridge> *He goes down. After a few moments, his radio crackles back into life.* All available units, rendevouz at the south entrance of Green Bridge. All SWAT and HRT units prepare for mobilization. Air units, ready at duty stations and await further orders. This is not a drill, repeat, this is not a drill...
