- Faiths
- The Virtues.
- Belief, in the residual strength of virtues to help one ascend their mortal form. Purity, Valor, Freedom, Clarity, Wisdom, Nobility, Sincerity and Kindness, were the original eight, thought of as most important, in peaceful times. In a dying world, one may select their own virtues, based on what they need the most, at any given moment.
- It spread in the Colossal Bastion, and then all over the world, growing rather ubiquitous as time went on.
- The Garden.
- In Golth, they say, the Sun is closer to our world than anywhere else. And the Sun, is the magnificent gate, to the Garden of Bounty. It is understandable, that in such an arid land, what most would want, is a place where the ills of the material world, simply do not exist. The followers of the Garden, see the path to the Sun, and thus their glorious salvation, as coming from the self, their souls.
- When the essence of the soul is unleashed, it ascends, to the highest heavens, and becomes pure light, finally reaching the Garden.
- Seekers of the Seed.
- The old Anima speak of an ancient tree, that covered the four continents, which once were one, in it's mighty shade. But time was cruel. This ancient beacon of life fell, yet left behind a single Seed. Incarnates from all over the world, seek it to this day, venerating it as the new bringer of life.
- The Seed is believed to be able to grow in any terrain, and then cleanse it, by accepting the stain of corruption into it's own body, for no evil, no matter how great in amount or power, is too great to corrupt it. A minority of heretics, seems to believe there is a "deliverer of the Seed" however, that inherited it from some Old Kin, that first claimed it when the World Tree fell.
- Teachings of the Woven.
- Within a world, that few admit is dying, it can be difficult to find purpose. It was only natural, that some would form a system of beliefs, themed exactly after it, the belief that they have a purpose, or meaning in life. Eradication, of the taint in the land. "If the world must die, then let it die pure". Undead, Branding Sorcerers, Soul Alchemists, Fiends, monsters... Every entity that does not belong, is ought to be cleansed.
- Those that do, must be eased into accepting their grim future, or at least, going through it without any pain. What Woven taught it however, remains a mystery.
- Draconic Following.
- For the longest time, mankind has envied the draconic. But when a fallen, petrified corpse of perhaps the largest specimen of their race, becomes the foundation for a civilization's capital, then people have something more concrete to look up to. At first, it was a small group of Dragon Sages, who derived ancient power from the old corpse. Then, more joined, but always at the discretion of these sages.
- To this day, they keep the secrets of their power, as well as of the corpse they so adore, hidden carefully. Some speculate, that they have something to do with the mysterious woman, from the story of how the Dragon Legion was founded
- The Ancient Song.
- In the caverns of the mountains near the Aeolian High, separated kin of those that now live in the earthen platforms, amongst war and strife, have held on firmly to their roots, practicing the influence of the mighty spirits of the world, through music. Some say that their instruments were created by the oldest of Anima, and will serve to reawaken the old spirits, into vengeance against those that have desecrated the world.
- Most, believe that the followers of the Song, are either crazy old fools, or crazy young fools listening to the crazy old fools. Their Weaving is rarely ever practiced. However, as crazy as they may appear, they are perhaps the only ones, who look up to concrete figures.
- Order of the Millennial Moon
- Once, powerful and influential in the Seven Castles of Dust, enjoying the protection and favor of one who called himself their own, the Chosen of the Twelve Kings, the Order has since then been exiled, for reasons neither them, nor the Chosen wish to elaborate on. Ancient, beyond even the time of the Old Kin's assault, and some say, even than the Thaumaturges themselves, they believe in the power of the moon, and consider it to be a deific entity, in nature.
- Deriving power from it's light, they are master enchanters, and powerful knights, their Weaving being no longer comparable to sorcerous arts, but to martial discipline, for the shunned Moon, agent of death, now needs only warriors.
- Cult of the Unlit Skies.
- Once members of the Order described above, they too were cast out, when they called upon the favor of a being, certainly of the Old Kin, yet shunned by her own. Said to have been of great rank and power, but was cast out by her own kin, some even say her mother, for indiscretions unspeakable, having her name and any record of her being, expunged, as well as a city dedicated to her, cast into the deepest darkness of the world's very northern end.
- It is rare to meet a member, as a life of unceasing adversity has made them wary to revealing their origins and faith.
