  4. -----
  5. Made this map based on Pentcost City, the Human AU of Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss that was discussed a few threads back
  6. -
  7. Nice, but the name was "Pentecost". You know, like the church? And as reference to the in-show name of Pentagram?
  8. -
  9. I'd like to apologize for my misspelling and general errors
  10. I hope this clears things up
  11. -
  12. Thank you Anon, I remember that thread and it was a pretty fun time we had imagining Pentecost.
  13.
  14. Did we ever talk about the imps and hellhounds when we cooked up this AU? If we did, I don't recall. Given that canon imps and hellhounds are evidently an undercaste that gets stepped on by native demons and even sinners (who aren't even from Hell-"what right do they have to treat us like this?"), I think that "imp" and "hellhound" should be some kind of slang term for a certain class or classes of people in Pentecost who are just getting it a little bit worse than everyone else.
  15. -
  16. "Imps" could probably be like descendants of immigrants, from countries that were once empires, like Britain, Spain, or even Russia, who hold few ties to their homeland besides segregating or being segregated into groups. "Hellhounds" could simply be junkies and wastrels willing to do anything for some cash or a shot of something-something.
  17. -
  18. This is a somewhat bleak and fucked up idea, but what about this for the imps:
  19.
  20. >Impala Way was developed on a shoestring budget
  21. >The pre-build geologic investigation was sparse, scattered, and half-assed, to be generous. Still managed to make a myriad array of problems clear though.
  22. >Unfortunately for the future residents, the engineers weren't getting paid nearly enough to actually solve any of them when they drew up the plans
  23. >The water table isn't quite a "poison bucket", like the few news reports on it (which were quickly brushed under the rug) described, but more of a magnet for every bioaccumulative toxin you can imagine across a vast area
  24. >Every last foul bit of liquid miasma that the city's rampant, unchecked industry exudes eventually ends up in Impala Way
  25. >The effects on anyone luckless enough to be living there have been horrific
  26. >Even those who managed to avoid severe birth defects have their growth permanently stunted, typically ending up a full foot or two shy of the national average
  27. >A new form of circulatory problem has developed among almost the entire populace, the so-called "dermal hypercapillary disorder". Blood is constantly flowing in excess quantities through the outermost layers of the skin, giving them a permanently red countenance
  28. >The cruel and callous people in the rest of the city soon began jokingly referring to the unfortunates from Impala Way as "Imps", in reference to the "Red Devils" of old scripture
  29. >Their uniform sickliness makes them too physically weak to resist the predations of Pentecost's other citizens
  30. >Between the endless mockery and abuse, they've grown terrified of anyone who isn't one of them, but also bitter and vengeful in the extreme
  31. >Like the biblical imps, they cower in the face of an enemy when alone or on even footing, but become overwhelmingly cruel and sadistic when they catch someone unaware or have the numerical advantage
  32. -
  33. And, to add to that:
  34. >they were called "Hellhounds"
  35. >they came from all over town, snuck about like packs of wild, stray dogs, and got everywhere
  36. >the Guard shot them on sight, unless they were children - they knew the kind of penalty "Pentagram" had for child killers in uniform (not that that would stop any of them from exploiting the brats)
  37. >but the wastrels that roamed the city like wild beasts, often associated with the "Sea of Rats" from the works of Dickens and Sinclair, were the target of everyone - as they targeted everyone
  38. >eyes bloodshot, their bodies awkwardly hairy and disheveled, arms and thighs covered in pinhole burns that led to the paw-and-claw like malformation of their extremities
  39. >the only place that seemed to "welcome" them (the same way a small business owner welcomes the local protection racked) were the people of Impala Way, an area which the wastrels, dubbed "Hellhounds" for their association with the impoverished and malformed descendants of immigrants who inhabited the city's petri-dish, the area the usually disorganized junkies defended with surprising ferocity
  40. >they would often ally themselves with the imps, whenever the Guard decided to raid them, and quickly gained infamy for their inhuman ferocity - they counted for the largest number of "Exterminator" casualties after the permanently revolting "Wrath" district, and had the distinction of having the largest headcount of policedogs killed in the line of service
  41. >a "Hellhound kennel" would often have one or two, but sometimes even more decaying dog skulls on a stick in their dirty front lawn, Lord of the Flies-style
  42. >even other city dwellers refused to enter this part of town when "the hounds were baying"
  43. -
  44. >Where the hell do you think you're going?
  45.
  46. >Whoa, whoa, man. Ease back I didn't mean it like that
  47.
  48. >You're not from around here, are you?
  49. >Didn't think so.
  50.
  51. >That street'll take you through Impala Way
  52.
  53. >I don't care what the map looks like. Go the long way around.
  54.
  55. >You don't just strut through Imp City unless you belong there
  56.
  57. >Doesn't matter how tough you are
  58.
  59. >That imp in front of you might bitch out as soon as you look at him, but there's a dozen right behind you lookin' to leave you in the ditch, with no wallet and no teeth
  60. ---
  61. thank anon and i am ready save this/make it as part 2... unless you guys are still making more then I will wait.
  62.
  63. btw more I think the human AU I made, more I realize I somehow cope the idea from dorohedoro
  64.
  65. >A shit city that it look like it from an apocalypse movies
  66. >a group of people who live in the city and who did bad stuff but still likeable
  67. >blood & violence are everywhere
  68. >Demons
  69.
  70. ...yeah...
  71. -
  72. Don't worry, I will help you with it killwolf.
  73. -
  74. thank anon
  75. -
  76. so, I have been talking to zed about the hazbin human AU thing.
  77.
  78. >the human AU is a sorta ambiguous/mixture of diffrent decades
  79. >For example, Cars could be from the 60's/70's/80's
  80. >Cellphones and computers could be from the mid 2000's
  81. >Stuff like that
  82. >that would be one way playing with how in canon they all died in different decades
  83. >And It could also give it this atmosphere
  84.
  85. we did some talk about the atmosphere of the place and this what we got.
  86.
  87. >the day time atmosphere.
  88. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beYDMw8ULlQ
  89.
  90. >the night time atmosphere.
