1. Creativity
2. An Informative Essay by Swordmaker

4. Creativity is incredibly detrimental for a functioning group, that including Sparrow Corporation. Without creativity, you're left with unfinished ideas that could easily be expanded upon. This essay will be done in an informative style, providing text that will enlighten the reader what he/she is reading. "Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity is characterized by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions. Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing. If you have ideas, but don’t act on them, you are imaginative but not creative." "What Is Creativity? | Creativity at Work." Creativity at Work. N.p., 17 Feb. 2014. Web. 13 Aug. 2015.

6. “Creativity is the process of bringing something new into being. Creativity requires passion and commitment. It brings to our awareness what was previously hidden and points to new life. The experience is one of heightened consciousness: ecstasy.” – Rollo May, The Courage to Create | This quote is incredibly inspiring to me as I am an aspiring creative director for Sparrow Corporation.

8. But what the questions comes down to is how creativity is learned, and how can it be applied to a group like Sparrow Corporation? I've concluded, the answer is yes. "A study by George Land reveals that we are naturally creative and as we grow up we learn to be uncreative. Creativity is a skill that can be developed and a process that can be managed. Creativity begins with a foundation of knowledge, learning a discipline, and mastering a way of thinking. You learn to be creative by experimenting, exploring, questioning assumptions, using imagination and synthesizing information. Learning to be creative is akin to learning a sport. It requires practice to develop the right muscles, and a supportive environment in which to flourish." "What Is Creativity? | Creativity at Work." Creativity at Work. N.p., 17 Feb. 2014. 10. Many argue that creativity has its grass roots from birth, but is it possible that there is in fact a parental influence coming to play? “Few showed early signs of promise prior to parental encouragement.” No one reached high levels of achievement in their field without devoting thousands of hours of serious training. Mozart trained for 16 years before he produced an acknowledged master work. Moreover many high performers achieve levels of excellence today that match the capabilities of a Mozart, or a Gold Medalist from the turn of the century.” The Vancouver Sun, Sept.12/98

12. Where does the discovery of creativity originate, if any origins exist? According to Iowa State University, "No one idea of creativity fits all fields of endeavor. Creativity calls on cognitive and non-cognitive skills, curiosity, intuition, and doggedness. Creative solutions can be created or discovered, in a flash or over a period of decades. At one time creativity was thought of as a culture-changing product of a genius like Thomas Edison, Marie Curie, or Steve Jobs. Over the past several years, however, emphasis on such phenomena, sometimes called "Big-C" creativity, has given way to an interest in what is called "little-c" or everyday creativity, a process in which many can and do participate."

14. Diving deeper into the topic of creativity and its dominant genetic hosts, is it possible that the Millennials have a greater creativity? "While a wealth of research exists on the best way to reach Millennials through their preferred technologies and media consumption channels, scant research has offered insight into the varying responses to brand messages among this coveted group. Millennials are an interesting bunch. They are often hypothesized to be more impatient, more easily irritated, and have shorter attention spans, all of which adds up to a particularly challenging and often elusive marketing segment." comScore "Creative is King When Targeting Millennials" | 13 Aug. 2015.

16. Ending this informative essay with one of my favorite quotes, "“Creativity” is one of those grab-bag terms, like “happiness” and “love,” that can mean so many things it runs the risk of meaning nothing at all. And yet some of history’s greatest minds have attempted to capture, explain, describe, itemize, and dissect the nature of creativity. After similar omnibi of cultural icons’ most beautiful and articulate definitions of art, of science, and of love, here comes one of creativity." "What Is Creativity? Cultural Icons on What Ideation Is and How It Works." Brain Pickings RSS. N.p., n.d. Web. 13 Aug. 2015.
