― IN THE CIRCLE :: although she doesn’t like to show it off, she always knows what’s in the latest trends and fashion. Background :
― BIRTH :: She was born naturally, but it came at a cost. Her mother died after giving birth, dying from blood loss. Her father found out that he had first stage cancer, and that there was a chance for Lina to get cancer as well while she was a baby. Thankfully, she didn’t but the chance still lingers. During a fainting accident, her father dropped Lina as a child and as a result her left eye was slightly blinded. To this day, it is still blinded and she has trouble with depth-perception.
― CHILDHOOD :: When she was five years old, still in the US, her father remarried to an American woman. But soon after her father died in a car accident during the winter. In his will, he wanted his wife and daughter to pack up and move to Korea, to live there for him until Lina becomes eighteen. Her step-mother, Miranda, didn’t like the idea, but decided to go with it to satisfy her last husband’s wishes. As soon as they arrived, Miranda was bombarded by the Koreans there as her stepdaughter didn’t do anything to help her. Miranda resented Lina for that, and that Lina became successful within five years of living there, opening a fashion brand. Miranda decided to use Lina’s success to her advantage and claim the designs for herself, becoming the face of ChungHa Fashion.
― TEENAGE YEARS :: Her remaining family that lives in Korea calls her by her Korean name, which she is thankful for. At home, her stepmother wants Lina to be a great wife and started preparing her by making Lina do all the house chores, which she had no problems with. Miranda also refuses to learn Korean, and relies on Lina to translate or do most of the negotiation for her. Lina never really had time to make friends, since she was designing, school, and chores to do, so she was really awkward whenever she went with her mother to parties with kids around her age there. She is more social online than in real life. Miranda was the one who told Lina to express her weirdness despite what society may think.
― SPECIAL EVENTS :: Her aunt was a failing fashion designer, and Lina soon took over and renamed the brand into what it is today. Her aunt is her best friend and second most important in the company, after Miranda of course. Her aunt, Ryu, was a total hipster, wanting to break out of the norm while also being within the times for her fashion. Ryu was Lina’s main influence in becoming a hipster and developing her own style. But Lina would always defend her stepmother whenever Ryu says anything rude about her.
