This was no time to reprehend her for her rude behavior: she was going to be patient and find out exactly what magic was.

 Her restraint finally paid off as she witness Tetradia work her magic, intently observing her wounds heal. She learned that you could use an object conduit to help focus magic spells. She learned that Ki could be converted into magic, meaning that the techniques that used magic could not be performed using Ki. This also followed the law of equivalent exchange: she could trade one kind of energy for another. The most important thing that she learned was that magic was energy that came from outside sources instead of from inside the body like Ki did. This would help Nyx narrow it down when it came to unraveling the mystery of what kind of energy magic was.
