[23:10] * [BNS]Komacho feels better after her episode this morning, and is currently off preparing her favorite breakfast... grilled fish.
[23:13] * [Owen]Cole is probably resting on a grassy hill somewhere reading a book or something.  Iris is somewhere that is unimportant.
[23:16] * [BNS]Komacho happily roasts the fish to her usual doneness of 'charcoal' and suddenly notices Cole resting on the nearby hill. She suddenly gets a bright idea, and grabs the cooked fish, running over towards Cole.
[23:16] * [Owen]Cole notices Komacho and gets the translator out.  Hasn't gotten a good chance to talk with any of the girls lately; they've been playing by themselves.
[23:18] * Sara` , following the "excitement" of earlier, is off on her own in meditation.
[23:19] * [BNS]Komacho notices Cole noticing her and stops running, suddenly growing nervous and shy as she stands with the stick full of fish in her hands out in front of her.
[23:20] * [BNS]Komacho swallows her doubt and walks up to Cole, offering some fish with a smile on her face.
[23:20] <[Owen]Cole> "Oh, umm... good morning."
[23:21] <[BNS]Komacho> <Hi! I made some fish. Do you want some?>
[23:22] * [BNS]Komacho holds the stick with the very very blackened fish up in front of her
[23:22] * [Owen]Cole isn't too enthused, but he tries to put a bold face on it.
[23:22] <[Owen]Cole> "Uhh, s-sure, Miss Komacho.  Made these all by yourself?"
[23:23] * [BNS]Komacho nods confidentally, a look of pride on her face.
[23:24] * [Owen]Cole takes a stick and tries a bite.  Ughh, this is going to be difficult...
[23:24] * [BNS]Komacho watches intently
[23:24] * [BNS]Komacho bites her nip nervously....
[23:24] <[Owen]Cole> "Hrmm, ehh... Well, I think maybe these are, a little too burnt?"
[23:24] <[BNS]Komacho> <Eh?>
[23:24] * Sara` opens one eye and watches the pair from a distance. o O ( Oh? Hmm... )
[23:25] * [BNS]Komacho looks at the stick, they appear to be just the way she always cooks them...
[23:26] * [Owen]Cole tries to explain.
[23:26] * [BNS]Komacho tilts her head and listens...
[23:27] <[Owen]Cole> "See, there's only so much meat on a fish, right?  And, uhh... well, if you cook them too long you burn up all the meat."
[23:28] <[BNS]Komacho> <But, isn't the black crunchy part the part you're supposed to eat?>
[23:29] <[Owen]Cole> "Umm, not... really.  It doesn't taste very good to humans."
[23:30] * [BNS]Komacho blushes and scratches her head, staring at the burnt fish on the stick, then back towards the fire she made by the river bank.
[23:30] * [BNS]Komacho turns back to Cole
[23:31] <[BNS]Komacho> <Which part tastes good to humans?>
[23:31] * [Owen]Cole shows her the meat.
[23:31] <[Owen]Cole> "This white part here, see?"
[23:31] * [BNS]Komacho looks at the meat and then back at the stick, then at Cole.
[23:32] <[BNS]Komacho> <Can you... show me how to cook fish that humans like?>
[23:33] * [Owen]Cole scratches his head, unsure.
[23:33] <[Owen]Cole> "Well, I'm not really good at it either."
[23:33] * [BNS]Komacho looks up at Cole with her pleading eyes...
[23:34] * [Owen]Cole can't say no to that; he's too spineless.
[23:34] <[Owen]Cole> "Oh, okay, I guess.  Where'd you put the fire?"
[23:35] * [BNS]Komacho smiles as she takes Cole by the hand and leads him to the fire where there's still a few uncooked fish lying on a pile of leaves
[23:36] * Sara` smiles as she watches them. o O ( Maybe i'll sit back just awhile longer... )
[23:36] <[Owen]Cole> "Oh, good, there's a few left.  I can't fish either..."
[23:37] * [BNS]Komacho sits down next to the fire and hands Cole a stick
[23:38] * [BNS]Komacho takes a stick of her own and a fish
[23:38] <[BNS]Komacho> <See, my sister taught me, you take the fish and you put it on the stick like this...>
[23:38] * MissD pokes Sara a few times and hopes she'll play with me.
[23:39] * [BNS]Komacho shoves the stick into the fish's mouth and skewers it, the stick emerging from the fish near the tail
[23:39] <[BNS]Komacho> <Then you hold the fish over the fire until it's done!>
[23:39] * [Owen]Cole follows suit.  He's not much of an outdoorsman, really.
[23:40] * [BNS]Komacho watches Cole, hoping to figure out what it is she's doing wrong...
[23:41] <[Owen]Cole> "Okay, I guess the first thing, is... well, if it's all black on the outside that's too much."
[23:42] * [BNS]Komacho watches her fish carefully to make sure it doesn't get all black
[23:43] <[Owen]Cole> "Spin it around too; it'll cook evenly that way."
[23:43] * Sara` looks over to MissD, just noticing her. o O ( I guess this doesn't really count as meditation after all. )
[23:44] * [BNS]Komacho matches Cole's actions, spinning her fish around slowly, allowing it to cook all the way around...
[23:44] <Sara`> Hello.
[23:44] <MissD> <You're too quiet~ c'mon~ lets play.>
[23:45] <[Owen]Cole> "Then... I think everyone says you want it sort of, golden brown?  Maybe it takes practice."
[23:46] * [BNS]Komacho removes the fish from the fire and takes a bite to test it.
[23:46] <Sara`> <I almost dread to think of what your games are...>
[23:46] * Sara` stands up.
[23:46] <Sara`> <But alright.>
[23:46] <[BNS]Komacho> <Is this right?>
[23:46] * [BNS]Komacho shows Cole the fish to reveal tender white meat underneath the crispy skin
[23:47] * [Owen]Cole nods, taking a bite of his own.
[23:47] <MissD> <Oh geez, relax will you? I can play games you want too~>
[23:47] <[BNS]Komacho> <It tastes funny... but if this is how humans like fish, I'll make them like this from now on!>
[23:47] * [BNS]Komacho grins happily, taking another bite of fish
[23:48] * Sara` takes another glance towards Komacho and Cole.
[23:49] * Sara` then holds her chin, pondering...
[23:49] <[Owen]Cole> "Well, I guess we're different from Pokemon, after all."
[23:49] <Sara`> <Hm.>
[23:49] <Sara`> <What to play...?>
[23:52] <[Owen]Cole> "You know, all you girls have been running around all morning.  What do Pokemon talk about all by themselves?"
[23:52] * [BNS]Komacho blinks, not expecting that question, and not really wanting to discuss what happened...
[23:53] <[BNS]Komacho> <Umm... well... Violet was feeling sick... and we wanted to see if we could make her feel better...>
[23:54] <[BNS]Komacho> <And then... stuff happened... but it's ok now.>
[23:54] <[Owen]Cole> "Oh... Stuff."
[23:54] * [Owen]Cole can sort of take a hint.
[23:55] * [BNS]Komacho wraps her arms around herself, thinking about the earlier events...
[23:55] <[Owen]Cole> "Do you, uhh, mind if I read my book over here?  It's kinda nice by the water like this."
[23:55] * [BNS]Komacho is suddenly snapped out of her introspection.
[23:56] <[BNS]Komacho> <Oh! Umm, sure...!>
[23:56] * [BNS]Komacho scratches her head nervously, smiling
[23:57] <[Owen]Cole> "Th-thanks..."
[23:57] * [Owen]Cole walks over next to a nice tree and opens his book again.
[23:59] * [BNS]Komacho looks over at Cole reading his book, wondering if she should do what she wants to do... then finally gathers up enough courage to walk over and sit next to him, her heart beating excitedly.
[23:59] <[BNS]Komacho> <Umm... what are you reading...?>
[00:00] * [Owen]Cole is sat next to!  He didn't expect that.
[00:01] <[Owen]Cole> "Oh!  Uhh, it's just... it's just some sciencey book my parents wrote."
[00:01] <MissD> <Well.. what do you like to do Sara~?>
[00:01] <[BNS]Komacho> <What's it about?>
[00:02] * [BNS]Komacho is suddenly genuinely interested, she's never heard of 'sy-ents' before
[00:02] * [Owen]Cole is a little nervous about this, but...
[00:02] * Sara` seems lost in contemplation.
[00:02] <[Owen]Cole> "Well, it's, uhh, hard to understand, really... it's like, all weird stuff.  I don't even understand a lot of it."
[00:03] * Sara` . o O ( ... I suppose I haven't really just "played" in a long time... )
[00:05] <[BNS]Komacho> <Can you... read some of it to me? I've never heard of 'sy-en-see'... it sounds neat.>
[00:05] <[Owen]Cole> "Well... You know you probably won't be able to understand it, don't you?"
[00:05] <[Owen]Cole> "It's really hard."
[00:06] <[BNS]Komacho> <Maybe, but I can learn, right?>
[00:06] * [BNS]Komacho smiles at Cole
[00:06] * [Owen]Cole gives a shaky smile back.
[00:06] <[Owen]Cole> "Well, yeah, anyone can, but this wouldn't be the book I'd pick to learn from."
[00:07] <[Owen]Cole> "Here, I'll read this part to you quick..."
[00:07] * [BNS]Komacho 's eyes brighten and she leans over, closer to Cole to try to get a look at the pages...
[00:08] * [Owen]Cole 's book has lots of tiny words, and just one picture of water with strange diagrams on it.
[00:08] * MissD floats around Sara like a haunted being.. giggling incessantly.
[00:09] * [BNS]Komacho obviously can't understand a word of what Cole explains to her and can't read worth a dime, but her heart is fluttering and she's never felt like this before...
[00:10] <[Owen]Cole> “It can therefore be demonstrated that the aforementioned ripple is a result of the postured Myss Effect, which while still purely theoretical contains a useful hypothesis.  If the ripple is traversed crosswise, perpendicular to the Myss vector, no measurable response can be deteced.”
[00:11] <[Owen]Cole> "See what I mean?  This book is hard stuff."
[00:12] <Sara`> <... I can't seem to think of anything.>
[00:12] <[Owen]Cole> "I grew up with my parents, so I understand a little of it... Not much."
[00:13] * [BNS]Komacho nods, understandingly
[00:13] * [Owen]Cole scratches the back of his neck, not really sure what he's supposed to do now.
[00:13] <[BNS]Komacho> <That's ok... it's still interesting...>
[00:13] * [BNS]Komacho bites her lip...
[00:13] <[BNS]Komacho> <Is it... alright if I sit here a while longer?>
[00:14] <[Owen]Cole> "Wha?  Oh, uhh, sure... I guess.  You're not hurting anything."
[00:16] * [BNS]Komacho nestles comfortably into her spot next to Cole, leaning on him slightly, content with the world, the unpleasant events of the early morning suddenly worlds away as she closes her eyes and slowly drifts off to nap...
[00:17] * [Owen]Cole flips ahead to a different chapter.  It has something to do with islands...
[00:14] <MissD> <Awww..hmm..>
[00:15] * MissD hovers in front of Sara, seriously thinking about something fun to do.
[00:16] <MissD> <Oh! How about... no... that won't work.. you're not into pranks..>
[00:17] <Sara`> <At least you read me properly.>
[00:21] <MissD> <Well, do you think I'm just some silly frivolous girl who does nothing but pranks?>
[00:23] <Sara`> <No... I guess that's just what I see you doing most often.>
[00:26] <MissD> <Well.. its half right.. since its sorta my nature to do such things.>
