Q and Eloise mini

(1:55:13 AM) ***Q-33_North approaches the city, slowly.  "So, you're more experienced with this than me.  Where do you start?"
(1:57:07 AM) Ikiryo: Eloise looks at her, looking amused. The Sister is dressed in a tank top, her jacket and short shorts. Not really what you'd expect for tomb robbing. Though the bolt pistol at her side looks very well tended to. "That's a long-ass question. Among other things it runs into 'What am I looking for?'"
(1:59:25 AM) Q-33_North: "Well, the reason for the trip was to find the Warstrider that got stashed here, but I'm also looking for a place to hide a hospital and I'd kind of like to know if this is a safe location for that."
(1:59:51 AM) Ikiryo: "A hospital? Planning to build one?"
(2:00:04 AM) Q-33_North: "Import, actually."
(2:02:57 AM) Ikiryo: "Oh, a drop site? Or a mobile hospital or something?"
(2:04:50 AM) Q-33_North: "Yeah.  Ideally we'd want it closer to the city but, hiding it I feel like will be more important."
(2:06:56 AM) Ikiryo: "Well, if it's a mobile hospital it can move itself later. Hence the name."
(2:09:32 AM) Q-33_North: "Okay point.  But yeah that sound like something we can do? Find something valuable and make sure this city isn't like, constantly being scanned or something."
(2:19:50 AM) Ikiryo: "Yeah, that's easy enough. For a mobile hospital you'll want room for something about a city block in size."
(2:20:30 AM) Q-33_North: "Alright, let's go."
(2:24:56 AM) Ikiryo: She nods. "Sure thing. Castle or City?"
(2:26:20 AM) Q-33_North: "Castle's probably more dangerous and where all the good stuff is."
(2:28:18 AM) Ikiryo: "So castle?"
(2:30:15 AM) Q-33_North: "Yeah."
(2:34:23 AM) Ikiryo: She heads off, a spring in her step. If a lot less than Hana or Khaira right now. No wait, that's jiggle, not spring.
(2:35:52 AM) ***Q-33_North follows, whistling tunelessly.
(2:37:44 AM) Ikiryo: "So, you done this much before?" She hops over a massive crack in the stone bridge leading up to the castle.
(2:39:35 AM) Q-33_North: "Not really.  I mostly do transporting.  And sometimes. . . let's call it aggressive salvage."
(2:40:46 AM) Ikiryo: "Ah yes. Like how I do 'Archeology' rather than 'Grave Robbing."
(2:43:16 AM) Q-33_North: "Speaking of.  I was thinking.  What do you think the odds are of our malevolent demon overking keeping something like that spear around without taking a countermeasure.  I don't know too much about demons."
(2:44:08 AM) Ikiryo: "Hmm...honestly not sure. A lot of them are kinda full of themselves...and if we didn't have the keys, breaking into that vault would have been nearly impossible."
(2:47:09 AM) Q-33_North: "That said.  Think about it for a second.  You get your hands on a spear like that.  You build up a whole complex plan based around putting it in him.  And then he no-sells it.  Seems like that would be the kind of thing that would make a very happy entity that feeds on hopelessness.  I dunno I want to be paranoid about this, but he knew we were coming as soon as I laid in the co-ordinates."
(2:52:41 AM) Ikiryo: "Right. The issue is that you run into the other issue going this way. You think it can't work on him or might not, so you don't use it. And well...I've examined the enchantments. It's genuinely the spear. It will put any demon lord of hopelessness in the dirt."
(2:53:47 AM) Q-33_North: "Oh, what no, I wasn't saying we don't use it.  I was going to propose we find I way to spice it up a bit."
(2:54:30 AM) Ikiryo: "Spice it up? I was looking at getting that lightning nutter of yours to make a big-ass railgun for it and send it right at him fast enough to break the sound barrier."
(2:55:44 AM) Q-33_North: "That might work.  I was going to suggest attaching something that sprays blessed oil at 'em.  Though I guess you can set the oil up and then take a railgun shot."
(2:55:59 AM) Q-33_North: "I'm just sayin' a little topsin never hurt anyone."
(2:56:47 AM) Ikiryo: "Maybe...but yeah, the blessings on that spear. They are wow." She ducks slightly, a massive axe blade going over her head as she slaps a red and yellow 'Warning: Trap' sign on a wall nearby.
(2:59:16 AM) Q-33_North: "Man look I've never plotted an insurgency against a demon grande queso before.  I don't know what I'm doing."
(3:00:21 AM) Ikiryo: "You think I have either? I killed a lich once, that was fun."
(3:01:08 AM) Q-33_North: "I mean I figure you've been closer having dealt with demons."
(3:01:31 AM) Ikiryo: "A few here and there but mostly bottom feeders. The big sort don't get bound to protect tombs."
(3:03:13 AM) Q-33_North: "Yeah see that's still more than me."
(3:04:23 AM) Ikiryo: "Not much. I've dealt mostly with undead and golems." She leaps across a panel, tapping it and slapping a warning: Spikes sticker on it as she evades them.

(3:15:32 AM) Ikiryo: "Enough. You can't be too careful in these sorts of places. Way too many archeologists don't know squat about keeping thier insides inside."
(3:16:16 AM) Q-33_North: "Fair point.  You think there's anything exciting down here? Or like.  An ambush monster?"
(3:19:32 AM) Ikiryo: "I dunno, it's been a few hundred years so that rules out most living monsters." She puts another sticker on the wall. Danger: Fireball trap.
(3:20:18 AM) Q-33_North: "Counterpoint.  Wizard shit."
(3:21:44 AM) Ikiryo: "That just means more likely skeletons or golems." The hallway opens up into a massive chapel...one that looks like a wrecking ball with through it a few times, the floor torn up in places and the altar shattered.
(3:22:23 AM) Q-33_North: "HRm.  Think there's a secret passage in here? Also.  There's oozes.  And goos."
(3:23:02 AM) Ikiryo: "Eh, the enviroment's a bit dry for oozes. Still, if we encounter them I'm standing behind you. This is an expensive jacket and my tank top is white."
(3:25:48 AM) Q-33_North: "I mean with our luck then you'll get ambushed from behind by someone with a slut beam.  We haven't done a beam yet."
(3:26:27 AM) Ikiryo: "This has happened before?"
(3:27:01 AM) Q-33_North: "Yes.  Distressingly often."
(3:27:49 AM) Q-33_North: "Though, honestly, probably not here, these are actual traps."
(3:27:54 AM) Ikiryo: "Go on~" She sounds very amused as she rummages through the cracked altar.
(3:29:49 AM) ***Q-33_North joins her.  "I mean it was needles before and you're not getting pictures because I am still capable of feeling shame.  And when Adelinda finds out I showed you her pictures will taze me until I shut down and then start really going ham."
(3:32:03 AM) Ikiryo: "Are you two an item?" She nods. "Would be funny though."
(3:33:27 AM) Q-33_North: "Why does everyone ask that?"
(3:34:40 AM) Ikiryo: "People don't tend to stay with people that taser them unless they are into it." Q-33 finds a small wooden box under one end of the broken altar as Eloise locates the Sigmarite Hammer that would have been laid on it.
(3:35:41 AM) Q-33_North: "I mean that's only if I violate the spirit of an agreement I made with her that we both took very seriously." She opens the box.
(3:40:49 AM) Ikiryo: A small needle pricks her finger as she does.
(3:41:12 AM) ***Q-33_North shakes her finger out.  "Ack."
(3:42:04 AM) Ikiryo: Inside is a red orb with a yellow eye engraved on it.
(3:42:15 AM) Ikiryo: She looks up from the other end. "You alright?"
(3:42:56 AM) Q-33_North: "Needle trap.  Worked out better for me than needles have historically though." She picks up the orb.  "You know what this is?"
(3:44:19 AM) Ikiryo: "...not a damn clue. That's a new one. Kinda weird lookg."
(3:46:18 AM) Ikiryo: For a moment she feels a need to covert the orb and keep it safe...but it quickly passes.
(3:47:12 AM) Q-33_North: "Hrm okay I think it wants me to hold onto it."
(3:47:35 AM) Ikiryo: "Oh, yeah?" She raises an eyebrow. "You think it's cursed?"
(3:49:15 AM) Q-33_North: "Probably.  And now even though I know it wants me to hang onto it it's kind of a good idea for me to because I dodged the curse and we wouldn't risk it spreading.  We should probably find a way to find out what this is."
(3:50:19 AM) Ikiryo: "Yeah...and maybe put it back in the box."
(3:50:56 AM) Q-33_North: "Oh you think? I was going to eat it." She says putting it back in the box.
(3:53:48 AM) Ikiryo: "Wouldn't be the first time. I'm not even kidding."
(3:54:32 AM) Q-33_North: "I am not going to ask."  She carries the box under her arm.  "Any ideas on where to go from here?"
(3:58:38 AM) Ikiryo: "Hmm...down is generally a good idea. Up into royal areas is a suckers looting, most of the really good stuff is in catacombs. And you sure, I have the most entertaining stories. Heck, one of them is even kinda like that needle thing."
(3:59:25 AM) Q-33_North: "Down it is, and oh?"
(4:00:18 AM) Ikiryo: "Yeah, you'd be amazed the sort of curses I run into." She rummages through her backpack, pulling out a rope and heading for one of the large holes in the floor.
(4:00:58 AM) ***Q-33_North follows. "Oh?"
(4:05:44 AM) Ikiryo: "Yeah. I was acting as bodyguard to this new professor. Just got her PHD and was finally out to do a real archeology job." She plants a piton into the floor to tie off the rope to starting to slide down the rope.
(4:06:40 AM) ***Q-33_North follows.  "With you so far,:
(4:08:37 AM) Ikiryo: "We end up in the middle of this horrible, stinking jungle raiding an old temple to a died out cult and we encounter the main altar room. Right on the middle of the alter is this statue. Real 'Fertility Goddess' sort."
(4:09:28 AM) Q-33_North: "Ugh, really?:
(4:09:41 AM) Q-33_North: "I think I see where this is going."
(4:11:55 AM) Ikiryo: "Oh, can you guess? I'll give you a hint. It starts with 'Completely ignoring the rules of archeology and going to manhandle the new find.'" She hits the ground, waiting for Q-33 to hit the ground in turn.
(4:12:57 AM) ***Q-33_North drops down.  "Yeah, that sounds like a mistake." She smirks
(4:16:49 AM) Ikiryo: "So yeah, she manhandles it and then wham boom, she's starting to pop her clothes."
(4:17:31 AM) Q-33_North: "Saw that coming."
(4:18:04 AM) Ikiryo: "You and me both but if SHE wanted to grab it..." She shrugs, smirking.
(4:19:00 AM) Q-33_North: "Ouch."
(4:21:20 AM) Ikiryo: "She released a lot of studies after that. Mind you,  most of them were not really on archeology so much as how to raise like eight children at once."
(4:23:53 AM) ***Q-33_North winces.
(4:25:39 AM) Ikiryo: "She sounds like she's happy with it. To be honest, the Sisters Famulous are happy with it too. Way too many nobles don't have children for ages." She looks about, licking a finger and holding it up in the air.

(4:28:23 AM) Ikiryo: "Hmm...slight breeze. Want to head towards it or check out somewhere else?"
(4:29:39 AM) Q-33_North: "I don't know where else we'd gp."
(4:31:43 AM) Ikiryo: "Well, there are catacombs out in each direction. This planet likes to build them big it seems." She gestures to the sprawling catacombs in several directions
(4:35:44 AM) Q-33_North: "Let's go to the wind."
(4:36:04 AM) Ikiryo: "Sure and if you see any fertility idols...~" She smirks, heading that way...
(4:36:56 AM) Q-33_North: "Please.  That'll be down whatever tunnel Annandra explores."
(4:40:15 AM) Ikiryo: "I've only see her be got once. Has it happened too many times before?"
(4:41:39 AM) Ikiryo: The smell of rotting meat can be smelt as they make thier way down the hallway...
(4:42:11 AM) Q-33_North: "Four.  That I know of.  Oh good that's an encouraging smell.  Bet you it's some kind of big ugly zombie."
(4:42:58 AM) Ikiryo: "...I'll take that bet. I still win if it's a small ugly zombie, right?"
(4:43:25 AM) Q-33_North: "I mean yes.  I'm also banking on your impossible luck here."

(4:44:50 AM) Q-33_North: "I was using a slight hyperbole.  You are very lucky."
(4:47:24 AM) Ikiryo: "Eh, I havn't really noticed it." She peeks around a corner. "Hey, so what do I win if I'm right?"

(4:49:56 AM) Ikiryo: "How much?"
(4:50:18 AM) Q-33_North: "I dunno this is pretty minor.  Couple hundred?"
(4:51:30 AM) Ikiryo: "Yeah, I'll take it. Gimme money." She pokes her head around the corner again before retreating. "And maybe do it quiet-like."
(4:52:26 AM) ***Q-33_North sighs.  "I won't push my luck on this.  1-10 how bad is it?"
(4:53:16 AM) Ikiryo: "Well, it's demons...but they are tiny, pathetic demons."
(4:53:59 AM) Q-33_North: "Ugh okay yeah I don't want to deal with a bunch of tiny demons right now." She hands over the money.  "Which way from here?"
(4:56:13 AM) Ikiryo: "Yeah, there is like...thirty of them. They are eating a couple of those big flying birds we saw on the way here." She pockets the money with a grin.
(4:57:06 AM) Q-33_North: "Right, sure.  Which way?"
(4:58:40 AM) Ikiryo: "The opposite direction seems safest."
(4:58:56 AM) ***Q-33_North turns and starts walking that way.
(5:02:20 AM) Ikiryo: The catacombs are honestly pretty big. Three people could walk side by side and have plenty of room. Though the commonality between most of the rooms she passes is the masses of execution equipment.

(5:06:41 AM) Ikiryo: "I have no clue. I mean, I stopped getting it after the third guillotine."

(5:13:05 AM) Ikiryo: "Exciting? Honestly, this one is pretty...whoop, careful there." She ducks under a swinging axe blade, putting up another sticker. "This one is pretty dull."
