  1. Rules: Gen 1 OU Rules. The current ranking is based on the Gen 1 OU obtainable moveset, not what is actually legitimately obtainable in the core games, tradeback or not. This is out of simple convenience and to keep the metagame simple to the teambuilder without the addition of the complex Tradeback rules.
  2.
  3. For those unfamiliar with Gen 1 OU. This is not much like Gen 1 OU. It's faster(less recovery/No Chansey/Snorlax) it's more powerfull (even irrelevant pokemon can at level 5 2-3HKO most relevant pokemon sometimes even our primier walls.
  4. We put a special focus on Utility and counteractive uses. Second we will focus on Tanks/fast attackers.
  5.
  6. ----Rules:
  7. -Pokemon must be set to level 5
  8. -Pokemon must have the possability of evolving within the generation and must be of there first stage.
  9.
  10. ----Clauses
  11. Players must abide by the following clauses:
  12.
  13. -Species Clause - A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same National Pokédex number on a team. For example, you cannot have 2 Koffing on your team.
  14. -Evasion Clause - A Pokemon may not have the moves Double Team or Minimize in its moveset.
  15. -OHKO Clause - A Pokemon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, or Horn Drill in its moveset.
  16. -Endless Battle Clause - In the event of an endless battle (such as only two Dittos remaining who can only transform forever, two Gengar forced to Struggle against each other, etc.), a draw is called.
  17.
  18. ----Mods
  19. The simulator has implemented the following modifications:
  20.
  21. -Sleep Clause Mod - No more than one Pokemon on each player's side may be sleeping as the direct result of an opponent's move. All effects of moves that would cause sleep are prevented from taking effect while Sleep Clause is active.
  22. -Freeze Clause Mod - A player cannot freeze two of their opponent's Pokemon at the same time. All effects of moves that would cause freeze are prevented from taking effect while Freeze Clause is active. For cartridge players, a player has the option of requesting a redo or playing it out in the case of receiving multiple freezes.
  23.
  24. ----Banned moves:
  25.
  26. -Sonic Boom and Dragon Rage have been banned due to their ability to OHKO almost everything and everything in the tier, respectively.
  27. -The move Wrap has also been banned due to its increased potency at Level 5 and the overcentralizing effect it had on the metagame.
  28.
  29.
  30.
  31.
