Halo UNSC Writeup

  Perhaps ONI is angry at me because I stole their prototype. Maybe they're angry because I stole the prototype and the hyper-advanced smart AI that was supposed to run it, but that's a bit less likely. Possibly, and this is only a small possibility, I honestly don't think that it's this at all, but possibly they're angry at me because I stole the prototype, the AI that runs the prototype, the entire complement of ships that comes with the prototype, and crews for all of those vessels, who still haven't mutinied for some reason. Possibly, though I'm honestly thinking it's the first thing.
  So why did I do it? Am I an alien sympathizer, like all of those brutish redshirts seem to think? Maybe a bit, though no further than my belief in not killing any sapient entity. Perhaps I was tired. Tired of everyone not listening to me, even as time and time again I was proved correct. Time and time again people died ignorant when they could've just listened. Tired of being brushed off by my superiors, given lip service for all of my advancements and just quietly brushed off to the side. Or perhaps I just wanted a new toy.
  And the crew themselves... Perhaps they actually believed me, though it would be foolish of me to think so. Perhaps they're like me, wanting to get away, yet unable to stop intervening, even when it's hopeless. Perhaps they're just biding their time. Perhaps.
  Well, Enough musing. I've got a ship to get out of here.
