Approaching Storm

1. Outbound
Langley : The weather is sunny, the winds are gentle. Visibility is also excellent. Perfect weather for setting sail.
Ark Royal: Hmm. Then, as we discussed, Her Majesty will join us and personally lead the fleet within a few days.
Saratoga: She's welcome any time! By the way, how's Miss Elizabeth doing? I haven't seen her in a while.

2. The Exercise
Prince of Wales: So, the Siren attack (Risk) assessment is zero? Pleasantly calm, for a change.
Prince of Wales: I must express my gratitude to you for setting up this joint exercise area for us.
Prince of Wales: I have fought and trained with many tough opponents before... however, I always wanted to test myself against the Hero of the Union - Enterprise.
Enterprise: You don't need to be so flattering, Wales. The Eagle Union and the Royal Navy are steadfast comrades in these trying times.
Enterprise: To tell you the truth, I've been waiting for a chance to test my skills with you girls too.
Prince of Wales: Very well, then let's dispense with the formalities from here on. The Royal Navy will fight with all it's got, and we hope you will, too.
Ark Royal: Let's find out if the Eagle Union's carrier fleet is as amazing as they say!
Enterprise: That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Then, the Eagle Union fleet, prepare for battle!

[Post battle]
Prince of Wales: Magnificently done. We were defeated without question.
Ark Royal: You predicted our attacks perfectly. I can say with confidence that your title of "Gray Ghost" is well deserved.
Enterprise: I'm honored, but I alone don't deserve all the credit. I couldn't have done it without the support of my comrades.
Enterprise: ...Our parting words have been dragging on for a while, hasn't it. We should be going now. Hopefully, we'll get another chance to fight like this in the future.
Prince of Wales: I guess that day is sure to come to us, if this war continues on.
Enterprise: Do you want escorts through the Siren infested area?
Prince of Wales: Thank you for the offer. However, we have to decline; if any of them do show up their defeats at our hands should raise morale after that defeat we received from you.
Prince of Wales: Moreover, ensuring the safety of NY City should be your highest priority. You don't need to worry about us.
Sheffield: I will do my utmost to clean up any pests that impede our travels. Please be rest assured.
Enterprise: If you say so. Then, may luck favor us all!
Prince of Wales: Likewise. May the Goddess of victory smile upon you too.
Prince of Wales: ...this uneasy feeling, I know it too well...
Prince of Wales: Everyone, we must return home immediately and report to Her Majesty.

3. Escorting
Pre-Operation; Near Union coast - Area: Safe

Denver: Escorting~ Escorting merchant ships~♪ Let's gooooo♪
Denver:.... Enterprise, are those the the merchant ships we need to escort?
Enterprise: Yes. Just so happened our routes and schedules aligned, so they gave us the job of escorting them to port.
Denver: Escorts, even though we are in a safe area....?
Columbia: It is a "safe" area for us Kansen, yes.
Columbia: For unarmed civilian ships the evaluation is different. Even in these waters it's better to give them some escorts.
Denver: I see... safe can mean different things to different people... I should have known.
Columbia: Well, being to attentive to your surrounding teaches you lots of things, and I don't mean just regarding combat. You don't want to end up like Montpelier.
Columbia: ... and before I could even finish talking this happens! Watch out for those mines!
Denver: Whoops! Aye-aye!

4. The Mission
Denver: Phew... We all made it here safely...
Memphis : Everyone, you worked really hard on getting those ships escorted to here.
Enterprise: Memphis? I thought you were preparing for a meeting?
Memphis : Among other things... I've got goods to relocate, strategic documents to draft, and messages to relay... Basically, I am buried under a mountain of work.
Memphis : And here I was planning to go to a trip this weekend... "Ahem", you heard nothing.
Enterprise: Sounds very stressful...
Memphis : Anyway, you three are going to group up with Cleveland's fleet and head out to the operation site, right?
Denver: Aye! I will be joining Cleve-aneki's fleet!
Enterprise: What she said. Did the situation change?
Memphis : Yes, your operational directions have changed. The higher-ups have ordered you to go on a special mission instead.
Enterprise: A special mission...?
Memphis : I have already informed the Commander, so do not worry about it.
Memphis : Here, this mission briefing outlines your orders. Read it later when you have time.
Memphis : The mission is in Siren-occupied waters, so please prepare yourselves accordingly. If you need to, do not hesitate to contact me.
Columbia: Somehow you seem very motivated today, Memphis.
Memphis : Motivated, huh...

Enterprise: Everyone, inspect your gear and restock on supplies and ammunition. We will sortie as soon as as soon as you are ready!
Denver: Roger~! I'll find something special for Cleve-aneki around here!
Columbia: If I remember correctly there is a specialty products shop somewhere nearby...
？？？: Fufufu... have a "pleasant" voyage...

5. The Advance
Pre-operation Phase

Denver:  Man, this random rouge cell of Sirens sure were unexpected...
Columbia:  Just a bunch of small fries. We don't even need to bother with them, the next patrol can just sweep them clean...
Columbia:  But that won't do, would it. We need to clear this area ourselves before we can rendezvous with Cleve-aneki.
Enterprise:  Don't underestimate the enemy. Everyone, be alert and do your best to eliminate them!
Enterprise:  ...All units, full-speed ahead! Commence the assault!

6. The Rendezvous
Enterprise: : This is Enterprise squad. Fleet has arrived safely at the rendezvous point. Good work, everyone.
Denver: : Cleve-aneki!!
Cleveland: : Yo! I have been waiting for you guys!
Cleveland: : As you probably saw, these Sirens were rather weak, but they did have numbers on their side. Clearing all of them took some time.
Cleveland: : So, time to head to the operation area, right?
Enterprise: : No, there's been a change of plans. Higher-ups gave us a special mission; we'll be doing reconnaissance in Siren territory.
Enterprise: : The commander has been notified about this, so everything should be in order.
Cleveland: : Good to hear that! If we kept fighting such weak enemies all the time we would forget how to fight and become weaklings ourselves!
Montpelier: : Cleve-aneki! I brought you extra supplies! And a gift from Denver as well!
Cleveland: : Nice! I was getting so hungry. Time to dig in!
Cleveland: : Nom nom... With us - The Solomon Sea Knights - and Enterprise fighting together any mission is a piece of cake!
Everyone: Yeahhh!

7. Search and Destroy
Pre-operation Phase, Coastal Area

Denver: Eh? This isn't quite what I expected...
Columbia: Indeed. Despite a Risk rating of 3, I don't see enough Sirens to warrant it...
Enterprise: According to our intel, the Siren presence signature is rapidly shrinking in this area...
Denver: So, they are running away?
Enterprise: Possibly, but it's not certain. As usual, HQ can't really figure out what the Sirens are planning.
Denver: Well, at least this area is now secure. Which is a good thing, right.
Montpelier: No, it's not. The more territory we control, the more spread out our defenses get.
Montpelier: ... I've got a bad feeling about this.
Enterprise: The purpose of this mission is to uncover what the Sirens are up to. All ships, keep your guards up as we advance.

8. Interference
Pre-operation Phase, Hostile Area

Cleveland: They didn't stage anything even resembling an organized attack...
Cleveland: Has the Siren strength in this area have really deteriorated that much...
Enterprise: Don't let your guard down until we are out of the Siren influenced area.
Cleveland: But they're giving us the chance to take back territory they stole from us... we could mount an attack to recapture said territory...Ah! Perhaps that's why we were instructed to prepare so much?
Denver: Eh,ehhh? My transceiver's not working... anyone else's getting a signal?

Transceiver: ZAZAZAZAZAZAZAZA...

Columbia: No good here... only static.
Cleveland: Let me take a look...This is!!! I am certain of it, we are being jammed!
Montpelier: We got lured into a trap...!
Cleveland: Enterprise, what do we do now? Should we keep moving forward?
Enterprise: ... No, let's return to safety. Avoiding unnecessary risks is one of the mission parameters provided to us.
Enterprise: All ships, reverse course! We're heading back to [NY City]!

9. Withdrawing
Coastal Area

Denver: We made it out! Here we should... Hey, the interference is still not gone!
Cleveland: I can't get in touch with the coastal defense fleet either... Enterprise? Think you could send some recon planes? I'm worried about the situation on NY City.

Enterprise:  All ships, prepare for combat! This situation means only one thing, we have entered a Mirror Sea!

Denver: Picking up signatures of unidentified vessels!
Denver: It's a massive Siren fleet! They're coming at us from every direction!
Montpelier: 「Before we could react, we were surrounded by Sirens」 It's exactly the same!
Enterprise: Everyone, reverse and maintain your distance to each other! We'll trace our entry route to get out of this Mirror Sea!
Cleveland: Columbia, Montpelier, Denver, be careful now!

10. Reestablishing Contact

Enterprise: We somehow made it out of there.
Cleveland: Look, the weather's back to normal! Phew...
Cleveland: You really saved us back there, Enterprise! If you weren't, we would be forever lost in that Mirror Sea...
Denver: From where the hell did those Sirens even come from?
Columbia: I have no idea... Maybe the ones that were spotted way earlier just disappeared from our sensors and then reappeared in there...
Montpelier: Cleve-aneki, communications have been reestablished! Wait a minute! This is...
Montpelier: It's a message from 「NY City」.... its an unencrypted plaintext emergency broadcast!?
