License Explanation

A quick explanation of the licensing.

When the software is supplied it comes with a license Kxxxx or Vxxxx which is for use by the end user and should be activated by the end user with their details.  These licenses once activated are permanent and are non-transferable.

The software when it is first installed will run for 10 days with all options enabled to allow the end user to confirm that the software is all working - once and only when they are happy that it is working OK should they activate the license.  At this point the options that they have on the license become active.  The license supplied by Keeler as standard is a Kapture lite license which does not have all the features which include networking so when you activate the license these features will be disabled, but the customer can upgrade the licenses if they so wish.

For Dealers, we offer a demo license these are DK-1xxx these expire after a month or two but are renewable as long as we know that you are still using them for demo purposes. These have all the features enabled so that they may be demonstrated.  If you are still using the license and it is nearing expiry ( it will warn you each time you shut it down and displays at the login screen) simply drop us an email and we will extend it for you. For Demonstrations that are using the customers own PC - when they install the software, they will get a 10-day trial.  If this needs to be extended then 30-day one time Demo licenses are available these are DK-9xxx which will work for 30 days from activation but are not renewable.  When later the customer purchases the equipment they will use their Kxxxx - License, to remove the DK-9xxx license please delete all files in the C:\Kapture\License directory
