  1. [15:09] Logan Ackers says, "Oh, there he is."
  2. [15:09] Acantho squints at Willow. It is not the tomato hair angry woman, good.
  3. (Acantho)
  4. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  5.
  6. [15:09] Logan briefly glances at his repaired hand, feeling something strange before his head shakes.
  7.
  8. "Acantho! Hi."
  9. (Logan Ackers)
  10. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  11.
  12. [15:10] Willow Ackers was pretty close.
  13. (Willow Ackers)
  14. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  15.
  16. [15:14] The scientist's eyes rolled back, before his hands moved to behind his back. His posture was relatively stooped, quite relaxed.
  17.
  18. And his expression, tired.
  19.
  20. "What brings you here, Logan? Usually you only comes when accompanied by Cassidy." The question was asked, followed by a comment before he gestured.
  21.
  22. Already moving to a porch, where he sat.
  23.
  24. "Do you need something?" It was the first thing on his mind, clearly.
  25.
  26. As always.
  27. (Acantho)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [15:17] Logan's nonchalant despite what he's heard of Final Frontier in the recent years. But one thing is certain, he knows no one better to handle lost and fucked up limbs than the man who greets them.
  31.
  32. As Acantho moves onto the porch, Logan goes to follow - right through a wayfinding portal with Willow close behind before he settles on a stool upon the portal.
  33.
  34. "Usually I don't want to disturb you. But my daughter here unfortunately lost her arm... And well, I don't know of another person who is better, and better equipped, to handle a proper replacement than you.
  35.
  36. Something fitting for her that will enable her to fight as if she never lost it before. A proper prosthetic, you know? What do you say?"
  37. (Logan Ackers)
  38. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  39.
  40. [15:19] Data Dryden says, "Good night."
  41. [15:20] Willow followed her father through the portal. Lucky for her, this was a common method of travel these days, nothing that she couldn't handle. Emerging from within she'd stand at the tables flank without taking a seat herself, incase she might have to move relatively soon to do whatever needed to be done.
  42.
  43. The Ackers indeed did lack an arm, where a right should rest, there was not a thing. Removed just below the shoulder, none of her bicep even could be saved. It was gone, all of it.
  44.
  45. "It was burned off by the Occult."
  46.
  47. Shades cover sights, but with her orientation it was clear that her attention as being given towards the scientist.
  48.
  49. "I hate the idea of.. a prosthetic. They freak me out a bit. But, after some things have happened it's best that I just do this."
  50. (Willow Ackers)
  51. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  52.
  53. [15:24] The blue hues of Acantho, scanned the damage suffered by the young Ackers. A sigh followed, before the gaze was returned to Logan - who was making the requests there.
  54.
  55. "That's plausible, of course.. However." There were always the buts, "Have you brought the necessary materials for this? Otherwise, the service employed will not come cheap.
  56.
  57. But for now.. Come." And with that, he rose.. Indeed, the time they stayed there did not last as long as was expected.
  58.
  59. And a gesture was also made to Data.
  60.
  61. "Come." A command given to Young Mistake, it was now time to work.
  62. (Acantho)
  63. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  64.
  65. [15:25] Data Dryden says, "Yes sir."
  66. [15:26] Logan glances towards Willow before his single eye rests upon the scientist once more.
  67.
  68. "Not just... A standard treatment, Acantho. Not like how you fixed up my hand when it got burnt all those years ago," Logan clarifies, holding up the hand which Nekane had seen to ruining before anyone ever knew her true colors no less. "Something she can utilize in battle using her own talents. Something that I know only you can create.
  69.
  70. I didn't bring any materials yet, since I'm not sure what you'd require. But once you make the idea, we can see that it's brought to you at least."
  71. (Logan Ackers)
  72. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  73.
  74. [15:33] The Oracle's words were heard, but for now the scientist just continued.. Taking them inside the house that still needed to be decorated. Since since they took the King's place, they never had time for it.
  75.
  76. As expected.
  77.
  78. "Alright, so what do you want is something more unique? That can be done, much more now that the recent models are far more similar to the humans..
  79.
  80. And other humanoid creatures.
  81.
  82. Now.." Another sigh, followed by him removing schematics from his lab coat - among these it was possible to see the name of one of these schemes.
  83.
  84. This being the recently made: 'Animunculi Titan'.
  85.
  86. And then, empty papers and pens! Which he already started to write, as expected, placing such upon the tables - "Since you want something more specific, we will need more unique materials - things that are biological and can be used for circuits.
  87.
  88. As well to empower her magical tiny, little things.
  89.
  90. Auguriaand Arcanium would work well, as well as Myhtril and Orichalcum - but we will also require some specific power sources, a core." He really didn't waste time when it came to work.
  91.
  92. And before proceeding.
  93.
  94. "Also.. What happened during the invasion of your island?" The question was asked, yet in truth this was not needed - after all, through what had been informed to him directly by 0C, he already knew.
  95.
  96. But, he wanted to hea the 'Oracle' - his side of the story.
  97. (Acantho)
  98. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  99.
  100. [15:37] Willow leans in towards her father, a whisper shared to the Oracle as things are brought up,
  101.
  102. "Gideon has Arcanium, if we lack enough. He got it from my dungeons, he'll part with some."
  103.
  104. She knew they had Auguria and plenty of it. That wouldn't be an issue. But, Arcanium she wasn't quite sure about.
  105.
  106. Sitting back up, attentions were returned towards Acantho once more, someone she had yet to meet in her time exploring. That was mostly because she kept from going this far west.
  107.
  108. "Willow, by the way."
  109.
  110. She had almost forgotten to give her name. Sole arm wiped its hand down against her leg.
  111. (Willow Ackers)
  112. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  113.
  114. [15:41] His father was oddly.. Present, today.
  115. In the meaning of him taking Data around to explain his projects, some political things, and now to watch over a likely to come medical procedure on which he could aid.
  116.
  117. Still, it was odd.
  118. Not that he would complain.
  119.
  120. His eyes at first going to Logan, a figure that was easily recognized by Data. One of the most important man on this continent, the Oracle of Aphros. Yet, his focus quickly shifted towards Willow.
  121.
  122. It was rare to have visitor on the Frontier that were of his age, but recently more and more of them were arriving. Her ears made the young boy tilt his head, perhaps confused to some degree.
  123.
  124. Yet, no comment came.
  125. He simply kept completely silent, as no one directed their word to him in specific. After all, this was a 'business' talk of some sort, between his father and Willow's father.
  126. (Data Dryden)
  127. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  128.
  129. [15:53] Logan takes a seat on the couch, getting comfortable as Acantho understands just what he means and why he specifically came to him for Willow's needs instead of handling it himself.
  130.
  131. "Auguria is fine. Arcanium we may need to take a bit of time to get. As for a core, or something unique, I can take a look at what I have available and get back to you on that." He answers. Orichalcum and mithril were obviously no problem to the Oracle either, given he spent most of young life collecting those resources? He had plenty to spare.
  132.
  133. Especially when it came to his daughter.
  134.
  135. Yet, Acantho's question regarding the island catches him by surprise and his head tilts, single eye gazing at the scientist curiously.
  136.
  137. "We successfully beat back the Coven away from it, even if I was captured. But now I'm not." He responds honestly. "Why?"
  138. (Logan Ackers)
  139. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  140.
  141. [15:53] Willow Ackers asks, "How much arcanium do you think we'll need?"
  142. [15:53] Willow Ackers says, "I can get it right now."
  143. [15:54] Willow Ackers removes a piece of parchment with that said, preparing to write. Of course, with just a single arm she used that table to help her.
  144. (Willow Ackers)
  145. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  146.
  147. [15:57] "Just a ponder, how did you manage to escape?" The question was made, his hand moving in the meantime.
  148.
  149. The blueprints of a prototype were created. An arm, mechanical but human-like - the inside however, looked like the limb of a 3-A, perhaps a bit more advanced and holding runes through it.
  150.
  151. As expected, it was magitech.
  152.
  153. "Five Arcanium Ingots should be enough for this." Quite a sizable amount, but they'd come in handy - "Alright, try to come up with something that can be used by her circuitry - something that emanates a similar energy.
  154.
  155. Otherwise it won't work, as we're looking to create something that's kind of symbiote." He explained, finishing the drawings.
  156.
  157. The arm.. It was very 'human', but such had some stripes and other things, and even.. the Proto Institute symbol on the biceps, since it was a product made by them.
  158.
  159. As expected.
  160.
  161. "Furthermore, we can work on it in the coming days, it won't be a very time-consuming or complicated project." He shrugged at the end, before falling back into silence.
  162. (Acantho)
  163. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  164.
  165. [16:03] Logan's jaw shifts as he's questioned how he escaped. It's something he rather doesn't like speaking on, and it's obvious from his body language. But he responds nevertheless.
  166.
  167. "My mentor traded himself for me." He answers bluntly. It's certainly the truth and Logan aims to quickly move past the subject, towards Willow's own little project.
  168.
  169. "We can work on something that will work well with her and her circuitry in the coming days, and can deliver it to you when the time comes to properly create and install it." He adds with a nod. It shouldn't be that difficult, and Logan already has an idea of what they can do.
  170.
  171. It'd be a nice bonding experience, at least. Beyond what's already happened anyway.
  172.
  173. "I didn't expect it to be that time consuming or complex. But you're the best! So."
  174. (Logan Ackers)
  175. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  176.
  177. [16:04] Willow wasn't the artisan of the craft here, her father and this scientist were much better equipped. She was just the one it was to be delivered to. So, when talks came about, she'd just nod along.
  178.
  179. "Right.."
  180. (Willow Ackers)
  181. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  182.
  183. [16:07] The given answer made the scientist's eyebrows rise, which only showed.. Interest in a way and nothing else, not even any other feeling or empathy.
  184.
  185. But since the focus was elsewhere...
  186.
  187. They would not talk about it.
  188.
  189. "When you have the materials, send me a letter and we'll schedule a date to work on it - until then, that's all.
  190.
  191. You both may go now." And now, a gesture was made towards the door, before his schematics were stored into his lab coat.
  192.
  193. To be used in the future.
  194. (Acantho)
  195. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  196.
  197. [16:09] Logan nods!
  198.
  199. "Perfect. I'll let you know once we're ready, then!" he chimes before rising to a stand. Easy and quick, just how he likes. Instead of actually going through the door though, he ensures Willow is following...
  200.
  201. Runes alight in the space in front of him, before six glyphs form, before they bundle together to form a singular portal. He grins towards the scientist.
  202.
  203. "Thanks for the help! See you!"
  204.
  205. And then, they disappear into the portal itself. Again.
  206. (Logan Ackers)
  207. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  208.
  209. [16:09] Willow Ackers says, "Another time."
  210. [16:10] Data Dryden says, "Safe travels."
  211.
