  1. Here's a thingy I wrote the other day, just straight brain-to-notepad. Read through, if you want. :O\
  2.
  3. By @Slyphoria, about @Slyphorama.
  4.
  5. Here's the problem.
  6.
  7. I want to improve my art skills, but I'm not sure of what I want my art style to be like. Some people might say to work on techniques first, like proportion and other basic and intermediate things. I know something like what I want for my style, but it's just hard to get there. If only there was a scanner that could put the picture in your mind to print, I'd have my dream of an anime before I finished today. That's more of a problem too. I'm sure you other artists and writers can know what I'm talking about, to see in your mind the work as if it was a finished piece, like in my scenario, as created by the anime studio or something.

  9. Anyways, the style I'm aiming towards is maybe something like Eiji's works in Bakuman. (Manga inside a manga, manga-ception, you know.) [link to picture]. Maybe not quite Eiji. I dunno. More specifically, I'm going in the general direction now, like picture Slyphorama's comics drawn by a way better artist while keeping the artistic feel (but not the noobish part, of course.) Maybe I'd work better if I was in a two-man team, with me as the writer. Like Takagi from Bakuman. Seeing as I got the inspiration and motivation I needed to start Slyphorama from Bakuman, using it as a reference is just perfect, right? I'm writing this shortly after finishing chapter 176 of Bakuman, so it's appropriate, right? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
  10.
  11. If I could find a style like what I'm aiming towards, I'll probably reuse the method I used to learn the basics, copying the art style. But hang on! Before you say anything, no, I'm not going to plagarize their style, or their work, or set up, or anything like that! My work with imitating Nichijou's style is what mostly got me here to this point. We aren't very alike, right? ...Right?
  12.
  13. I suppose I'll just keep a good watch out for series that I particularly feel a connection with. Hmm. Or even just individual artists, like I might see on The Dan. Wahaha~!
  14.
  15. For some reason, it feels like I might find it in what I like to call a B-series, I'm not sure if that's an insult or not, I'm not intending it to be. But like the B-side of an album, the side with the less popular songs I guess. More specifically, if you look at my MAL list, the shows with scores like 8-6. Shows like Kampfer, or Kannagi, or Moetan, or maybe things like Chobits or something. They're all shows I enjoyed quite a bit, but not as much as stuff like SZS and Hayate and Kaiji. Hrrrmmmm.
  16.
  17. Anyways, I've decided I'm going to start working on my art as much as possible, effective as of before I wrote this, specifically around midnight on 5/5/12. I'm working on the next comic, my only hurdle from finishing it right here and now is that I need a few reference pictures, because you could say this is a crossover-ey thing. Like most web comics and stuff, though. Crossover isn't the best word. Whatever, my point is I don't have the internet at this current second, so I can't search Google, nor use M-W.
  18.
  19. I just realized if I applied this current writing mood to Slyphorama's manga, I could've finished revamping chapter 2 again, or written a new chapter. Some of those chapters came out in a straight burst. I wrote one of the chapters in like 45 minutes. But it takes me two months to get to drawing a 4koma. Gah.
  20.
  21. You know, while I'm here, I might as well say it. You know how everyone needs to have a purpose in life, or a meaning, or what have you? Well, I've figured it out, it feels like the reason I'm here is to write Slyphorama. The manga version. Which is why I'm trying so hard to get it to the be the best possible manga I can write. Before this, I've only wrote a fanfiction of Teen Titans. It's very, very, very stupid. Don't look for it.
  22.
  23. To say the truth, Teen Titans is the reason Slyph Co. has 5 members, 3 guys and two girls. You may be able to find other comparisons, if you want. I already did. But I'm not writing them all here.
  24.
  25. I'm long winded, I guess. Was that the right term? Ah, who cares. This isn't an autobiography, and I assume quite a few didn't finish reading this. Maybe I should make it shorter.
