- This 'disc-shaped' UFO was snapped at Stonehenge hovering over the stones
- The Stonehenge is full of mystery. Archeologists, archaeoastronomers, and the new age have different beliefs in the mysteries and theories of this ancient site. It was a centre for the Summer Solstice celebrations, but it looks like there may have been extraterrestrial visitors.
- Stonehenge has always been a magnet for unusual stories and unbelievable myths. People are always curious about these stories, they always wanted to know how they were built without the aid of modern technology, how they were transported, and why they were built in the ancient times. But this latest story could be out of this world.
- Days before the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere, a space enthusiast captured an unusual object hovering above those famous stones in Wiltshire.
- The photograph was shared on the UFO Sightings blog with details about the craft included.
- David Jacobson, the poster, claims the unidentified flying object was black and around 20ft to 30ft.
- Under 'characteristics' he states: "This disc-shaped UFO has been spotted flying above Stonehenge, England."
- The stone circle is a common site or UFO appearances, with files declassified by the government featuring a number of weird spots between 2007 and 2009.
- Known as "Britain's X-Files', the details included another UFO spotted in Stonehenge, described as "discoid" shaped.
- The email, dated January 14, 2009, said: "I thought that I would send you these digital photos because they were taken a couple of years ago at Stonehenge of all places; so, possibly significant."
- "Upon uploading them to my computer, I spotted the discoid shapes in the background."
- I was wondering how the prehistoric monument was built without advanced engineering knowledge nor sophisticated tools. This same question has been baffling historians and archaeologists alike for centuries. Stonehenge took nearly 1,500 years to build and was believed to be constructed between 3000 and 2000 BC. The construction of Stonehenge begins with the outer ring consisting of sarsen sandstone slabs excavated from local quarries in England’s Salisbury Plain, while the inner ring being built with smaller bluestone rocks that scientists have tracked back to Preseli Hills in Wales, nearly 200 miles away from the construction site of Stonehenge.
- How were these neolithic peoples able to transport boulders weighing 4-tons over such a vast distance? While also taking into consideration that it’s construction was nearly 5000 years ago.
- Or did extraterrestrial beings made this stone circle? For what? This has given rise to the theory that it was constructed as a landing area by extraterrestrial beings.
