- Minimum Equipment: ~$140 Total
- - Dip Switches
- - 5-10 Op-Amps - LF353 and the LF411. (Latter recc. by AoE for a good general Op-Amp. Former is a good dual-rail.)
- - Eletechsup -DC DC Boost-Buck Converter : Good easy way to set-up dual rail op-amps. Strongly recc at least 1! (Get it with terminals)
- - Speakers - Honestly to begin with, go to your thrift store and teardown some speakers! Likely the cheapest way to get some.
- - Wire Cutter & Stripper combo
- - 22 AWG wire hookup kit. Solid Core. (Copper Coated Aluminum is fine.)
- - Cheapy breadboard power supply
- Individual Parts:

- For general part kits, I love these guys. They're gonna be a bit expensive than just buying like 5 of a dedicated part from digikey, but it's good to have a ready collection of basic parts.

- - Ceramic Cap Kit
- - Electrolytic Cap Kit
- - Diode Assortment
- - Transistor Assortment
- - Variable Resistor Assortment (Pots)

- Minimum for Soldering Prototypes: ~$100-$200 Total
- - Collection of perfboards
- - Fume Fan: So a really strong desktop fan can move hot fumes away until they drop to the floor quickly. It's a decent hack solution. You can even buy a carbon filter to put over it.
- If you don't want grime, I'd say wait until you can get something like a KOTTO suction hose. Probably not right away as it's a good $70, but keep in the back pocket.
- - Sn/Pb Solder
- - Solder Flux
- - 60W Soldering Iron
