- Ah, Florin. Fascinating place, really, especially when you get involved in the local politics. And, well. Perhaps I didn't technically get involved, so much as I manufactured a bit of minor nobility for myself, and then proceeded to apprentice under one Count Rugen.
- I was able to stomach that for a handful of months before I elected to duck out, citing prior obligations as viscount, because that was just... what. The machine, that thrice-damned machine. I just couldn't deal with it. Certain things needed to stay in place, unfortunately, as my precognition showed me how badly things would have turned out had I followed my instinct and destroyed it.
- And so instead I showed up at the wedding of Wesley and Buttercup, and gifted them both a golden apple. Not much of a consolation, perhaps, but it was what I could do.
- Well, that and the gradual introduction of an industrial revolution. Since without the Machine existing, everything would be choked by soot and smog before I left, as opposed to taking a more measured approach.
