Explanation of the Prevalence of Pedophilia on IRC

Why are there so many pedophiles on IRC? Here is why.

1 - There is a lot of variability in Homo sapiens.
2 - The average member of Homo sapiens does not like a subset of other Homo sapiens.
3 - Humans are interested in actively pushing away or destroying those humans they do not like.
4 - Throughout history there have been various strategies developed to accomplish this. Recently, with the advent of democracy and rights-based systems codified in constitutions, many strategies have become off-limits.
5 - Most every system that is stable has some set of reasonably well-understood rules that specify which actions are valid and invalid for each person, often based off their affiliation with some class or group.
6 - This represents some kind of Nash equilibrium the society has found itself in. Once a stable point is found, there is inherently, in every system, pressure on agents to attempt to behave in a way of imperfect symmetry towards other agents in the system. If only a few people do this, the system is barely affected, while those agents gain a lot. If too many agents do this the system collapses out of its current Nash equilibrium.
7 - In systems based of written documents, there are often hierarchies of rules and powers that can only be implemented in a subset of cases, e.g. emergency powers in times of invasion. One of the primary mechanisms by which agents will attempt to employ imperfect rule following symmetry is to move the system to a place in which the higher-precedence rules are allowed.
8 - Examples. After 9/11 agents felt they could push the system to a new Nash equilibrium. One way to do this in the American political system is via the presence of WMDs in an antagonist polity. The presence of WMDs, the narrative goes, invalidates many restrictions of state power, specifically in regards to state-state antagonism that are typically emplaced via international treaties that America is signatory to, e.g. the Geneva Conventions. In our present example, the CIA was telling the Bush administration that Iraq had chemical and biological WMDs, though they were wrong. They did not tell the Bush administration that he had any nuclear weapons. However, the Bush administration, for full movement into the next level of rules, needed the game state to have a value of 'true' for variable Iraq_has_nuclear_weapons. So that's the narrative they constructed, because that allows some application/enforcement of more powerful rules.
9 - In the current chatroom, I am disliked for various reasons: high intelligence, direct antagonism towards the established social order, not deferring to my 'place' as determined by the community, and, yes, some specific content. Many humans do not employ game theoric conditions of scaling into their ethical worldview, i.e. they are okay with the outcome of crushing the present order, even if in some sense 'good', merely for their self-gain (said another way, they would be unhappy if some other agent successfully did what they wish to do). These people are parasites on the system and must be regulated. So, they are unsatisfied with merely concluding, subjectively, 'This person is not for me.' They need to have all reality reflect their internal preferences. However, standard rules of conduct and knowledge do not allow this. The solution, then is to weaponize the issue, as with Iraq and their scary, invisible nuclear weapons.
10 - So, the conversation turns to the following: It is not mere discussion of topic X that this person is doing. Of course, if that was all that was going on then I would want them to be able to share their view points. You have to know how much I love free speech! (It is necessary to outwardly communicate favor towards the current order to not rally the defenses of others who fear your power grab.) But, this is no mere speech. It is violence. It is sexualization of our children. Mere discussion of these ideas is equivalent to implementing these ideas. Friends, our babies themselves are at great risk. That is why we must immediately, and without hesitation, utterly destroy this person and their ideas.
