  1. Here is my idea a Shadow Mario echo fighter. He would combine the older playstyle of Mario with the newer playstyle of Inkling. Making him deal less base damage than the original Mario, but with his borrowed ink affect, he’d be a menace under the right conditions.
  2.
  3. Entrance animation:
  4. Shadow Mario enters just like he exits the level after every one of his chase levels from Sunshine.
  5.
  6. Jab:
  7. Basically the same as Mario’s.
  8.
  9. Dash Attack:
  10. Shadow Mario preforms the dive maneuver from Sunshine.
  11.
  12. Forward Tilt:
  13. Similar to Marths, with the paint dealing sweetspot being on the brush part of the paintbrush.
  14.
  15. Down Tilt:
  16. Similar to Marths, with the paint dealing sweetspot being on the brush part of the paintbrush.
  17.
  18. Up Tilt:
  19. Similar to Marths, with the paint dealing sweetspot being on the brush part of the paintbrush.
  20.
  21. Up Air:
  22. Basically the same as Mario’s
  23.
  24. Neutral Air:
  25. Basically the same as Mario’s
  26.
  27. Forward Air: Brush bash.
  28. Instead of a copy of Mario’s forward air, Shadow Mario would borrow Clouds forward air. Swinging his paintbrush in a downwards angle in front of him. The weak normal hitbox is located by the shaft part of the brush, while the ink inducing spike hitbox is at the actual brush part.
  29.
  30. Back Air:
  31. Similar to Marths, with the paint dealing sweetspot being on the brush part of the paintbrush.
  32.
  33. Down Air:
  34. Similar to Marths, with the paint dealing sweetspot being on the brush part of the paintbrush.
  35.
  36. Forward Smash:
  37. Basically the same as Inklings.
  38.
  39. Down Smash:
  40. Basically the same as Mario’s.
  41.
  42. Up Smash:
  43. Basically the same as Mario’s.
  44.
  45. Neutral Special: Paint Shot.
  46. Shadow Mario fires a very slow and very big moving ink shot from his brush. Similar to one of Mario’s custom moves from Smash 4. After a while it explode leaving ink on the ground the opponent can get inky in if walked on. Or if an opponent hits it before it explodes, it explodes more violently, sending them at an upwards angle coated in paint. Though as a trade off the ground will not be covered in paint. It is visually based off the ink balls Petey Piranha spits out in his second boss fight in Sunshine.
  47.
  48. Down Special: PAINtbrush
  49. Shadow Mario will spin his paintbrush around to charge the attack. When triggered again he will let out a stream of highly damaging paint, similar to Inklings Neutral Special. Functionally it’s an upgraded version of the Scalding Flood custom move from Smash 4, with its range being buffed to match its normal counterpart.
  50.
  51. Side Special: Brush Swipe.
  52. Shadow Mario swings the paintbrush forwards, dealing inky damage without reflecting projectiles. Functionally it’s an upgraded version of the Shocking Cape custom move from Smash 4, with the electric (or in this case paint) hitbox getting an upgrade.
  53.
  54. Up Special: Super Jump Dive
  55. Shadow Mario jumps and dives a great distance both horizontally and vertically without a hitbox. Functionally it’s an slightly tweaked version of Super Jump custom move from Smash 4, slightly less vertical distance in exchange for more horizontal distance.
  56.
  57. Grab:
  58. Basically the same as Mario’s
  59.
  60. Pummel:
  61. Basically the same as Mario’s
  62.
  63. Forward Throw:
  64. Basically the same as Mario’s
  65.
  66. Back Throw:
  67. Basically the same as Mario’s
  68.
  69. Up Throw:
  70. Basically the same as Mario’s
  71.
  72. Down Throw:
  73. Basically the same as Mario’s
  74.
  75. Final Smash:
  76. Basically the same as Bowser Jr’s
  77.
  78. Taunt 1:
  79. Shadow Mario sticks his tongue out in reference to one of Sunshine’s cutscenes.
  80.
  81. Taunt 2:
  82. Shadow Mario jumps and spins rapidly in place, a reference to one of Sunshine’s cutscenes.
  83.
  84. Taunt 3:
  85. Shadow Mario gets down and cries like he does when you spray him down in Sunshine.
  86.
  87. Victory theme:
  88. The little 1-2 jingle that plays at 7:38 of this video:
  89. https://youtu.be/ASFJ84tmf9k
  90.
  91. Victory Animation 1:
  92. Shadow Mario looks ominously at the camera,
  93.
  94. Victory Animation 2:
  95. Peach is shown standing, before Shadow Mario swoops in and grabs her before running off.
  96.
  97. Victory Animation 3:
  98. Shadow Mario stands in a pool of water, before it splits and he goes down. A reference to one of Sunshine’s cutscenes.
  99.
  100. Classic Mode: Making a mess.
  101. This Classic Mode involves Shadow Mario trying to out-mess characters that are already pretty messy.
  102. 1-Greninja (Sprays water everywhere)
  103. 2-Snake (Fires explosives everywhere)
  104. 3-Bowser and Bowser Jr (Constantly making a mess of the Mushroom Kingdom)
  105. 4-Wario (Is just a messy and gross guy)
  106. 5-Samus (Literally destroys most planets she visits)
  107. 6-Inkling (Do I really need to explain this one?)
  108. 7-Master Hand, though he prefers his paint ball attack
  109.
  110. Alternate Costumes: These alternates will mainly be focused on referencing other Mario Sunshine bosses.
  111. 1-Default
  112. 2-Green and Red (Referencing Petty Piranha)
  113. 3-Grey and Blue (Referencing Gooper Blooper)
  114. 4-Green and Yellow (Referencing the Wiggler boss from Sunshine)
  115. 5-Orange and Red (Referencing Mecha Bowser)
