- Hello. This is the Morethan.tv interview for 2015 Holiday recruits. You will have to answer all numbered questions and you will send them to the interviewer on IRC private message.
- 1. Do you understand what a private tracker means? Explain. A private tracker is a group of bit torrent users that regulate who has access to the torrents they make available and hold their members to higher standards than public trackers do. Private trackers usually require certain upload ratios or time that uploads be made available after they are finished.
- 2. Do you have account on another private tracker? Which ones with Usernames? I do not have any other accounts on any other private trackers. MTV would be my first.
- 3. What do you know about Morethan.tv? I believe Morethan.tv is a relative newcomer to the private tracker scene and is building a good rep as a replacement to freshon, from what I've seen on Reddit.
- 4. Do you use seedbox/vpn? I do not use a seedbox, I do have a dedicated server and I use Deluge through a VPN (Private Internet Access).
- 5. Explain how you will be a great person to invite to Morethan.tv I am responsible, I always allow my torrents to seed to a ratio of 1.2 on public trackers and I am security focused on my server and make sure the software stays up to date and that my VPN is not leaking my IP address.
- 6. Please provide proof or screens from any other private trackers (Except IPT network) and a speedtest. Seedbox screenshot if you have one as well. See attached. I don't have any proof or screens from private trackers, but I did attach a screenshot of my current Deluge session and a speed test from openspeedtest.com.
- 7. What does ‘Freeleech’ and ‘No Hit and Run’ mean to you? Freeleach is a period a tracker runs where downloads don't count towards your overall ratio. Hit and run is when you are pulling stuff down during a freeleach, but don't meet the minimum seed time that is required (it is usually separate from ratio rules). No hit and run would mean you could download as much as you wanted without it affecting your ratio, but you would still have to leave it up for the minimum amount of time.
- 8. Fill in this space with anything. Preferably anything that will help your cause. () I think I would be a good member of morethan.tv because I am responsible, careful when it comes to security and would like to help contribute to a growing community. I cut the cord about four years ago and have been downloading all of my family's TV and movies in that time. I have a 15TB media server that has about 7TB on it. I run unraid on this server and have several Kodi boxes throughout the house and Plex on all of our mobile devices. The docker image I run on my unraid server for Deluge has VPN built into it, as does the sabnzbd docker, so I am very security conscious. In the last four years I have not received any warnings from my ISP for downloads due to copyright infringement, so I would say I am running a pretty tight ship. I appreciate you taking the time to read my application. I look forward to hearing back from you.
