  1. Reasons I, Hazard D. Drazah, hate DOA6:

  3. 1) Every new mechanic related to meter
  4. -Break Blow, Break Hold (this mechanic alone turns DOA into a 98% guessing game), Meter itself
  5.  
  6. 2) Last minute change regarding Fatal Stuns
  7. -Prior to launch, Fatal Stuns that were performed on "crouching counter hit" were meant to deter low holding in stun. Now, they will only hit as Fatal Stuns truly on raw "crouching counter hit"

  9. 3) Inconsistent Fatal Stuns
  10. -Some characters may have questionable Fatal Stuns (Raidou has one on back turned crouching CH) or some characters may have no Fatal Stun at all outside of Fatal Rush

  12. 4) Fatal Stuns in themselves
  13. -People claim this allows for more guaranteed damage but, along with Break Hold, is what causes the majority of this game to be guessing (even more for DOA standards).

  15. 5) Stun Launch in a 300 HP game
  16. -Unlike DOA5, where your main way to get 100+ DMG done on NH was playing the stun game (which got you to CB) or using the environment, DOA6 requires you to pretty much use all of your resources and hope your opponent doesn't use theirs to net over 100+, as playing stun launch slowly just whittles away at a health bar (unless of course you're just a grappler and can get big boy CH damage with a throw.)

  18. 6) Side Step changes
  19. -Neutral side step only steps for 15 frames out of 25 compared to DOA5's 20 out of 25. Side Step Attack steps from frame 1 to right before the first active frame.

  21. 7) SIDE STEP ATTACK COSTS METER NOW
  22. -Imagine walking to the side and a percentage of your money fell out your pocket. TN wants to make a 2D fighter so badly

  24. 8) Tracking moves that land on half-hit do not catch side step
  25. -Initially thought as whiffing the move, WAZAAAA the almighty confirmed this bullshit

  27. 9) Half-assed ground game
  28. -No reliable ground game means there's no variety in combo enders as there's no reason to set up oki. Even if you do have an oki setup, 9/10 they can tech off the first hit and leave you minus anyways.

  30. 10) Largest amount of banned stages
  31. -Almost every stage that has a hint of personality that isn't a basic arena stage is banned due to OoB glitches that may or may not even exist. Also, Aircraft Carrier was completely legal in DOA5, but when the training stage becomes seemingly legal (not fucking infinite) it's banned as well.

  33. 11) Throws freezing the timer
  34. -Allows damage after the timer has reached 0, and declares a winner based on health AFTER the throw is over (read: anti-timer scam)

  36. 12) Lacking online features even after delay.
  37. -Some expected QoL features, like host migration in lobbies, doesn't even exist. Also, only one platform (PS4) has connection filtering.

  39. 13) Have to enter Big Picture Mode on Steam to enter text
  40. -It's not like I have a keyboard sitting in front of me or anything.

  42. 14) TN's questionable decision making during development/after development.
  43. -Initially having no neutral SS whatsoever, not explaining the change/addition to Wall Stuns until after everyone exploded on social media, exposure minimization.

  46. -Better game

  48. 16) No Break the Age
  49. -Self explanatory.
