  1. Hello,
  2.
  3.
  4.
  5. So our team had a chance to download and play the demo, here’s their thoughts:
  6.
  7.
  8.
  9. Our general impression is that there’s too much text and the game speed is too slow.

  13. The art is nice, but the story is not intriguing. Our own VN London Detective Mysteria was cute, but it’s fun to watch Emily grow and how she faces challenges as you progress the story, but the protagonist of this game is cute and not quite that smart, and the settings reminded us of Twilight a bit.

  17. Pros:
  18.
  19. Character art is pretty
  20. Detailed yet simple background art
  21. Interesting characters with different background stories
  22. Nice upbeat music
  23. Accessibility options are available (as seen in pdf)
  24.
  25.
  26. Cons
  27.
  28. Character art and backgrounds can be refined more
  29. The girls look too similar to each other (2 blondes, 2 black hair, similar faces)
  30. Some of the music can get tiring to listen to while reading
  31. Too much text—parts could be skipped and it wouldn’t change anything
  32. Don’t know much about story
  33. Speech bubbles get in the way of the visuals/art
  34.
  35.
  36. Overall Feedback/Suggestions:
  37.
  38. This is a pretty visual novel with appealing colors. The art has a good mix of anime and Western art styles, and while it looks good, the art doesn’t feel finished. It looks like a work-in-progress or something similar to rakugaki/quick sketch drawings one would find on pixiv or twitter. I think if the art (both character and backgrounds) were cleaner, more refined, and fully illustrated, it would make the visual novel experience more complete (at least looking like how the paintings looked in Yvonne’s route would be a good start). Otherwise, it feels like I’m playing a free visual novel somewhere online on an internet browser. I think the speech bubbles as dialogue is a clever idea, but it begins to feel more like an interactive web comic than a visual novel game. The story itself isn’t presented clearly, so I still don’t know what the story’s about. The pacing is also very slow and the text doesn’t build up, so when the route is finished, that’s just it and there isn’t a feeling of wanting to replay/reread or excitement for more. Since the mechanics were given to us in the PDF, it would have been nice to see them work together in the demo (for example, much is expressed how “choice matters,” but we don’t really get to see how it mattered since we’re playing through character introductions). This is a pretty game, but nothing else is standing out at the moment.

  46. As you can see from our team’s feedback, your friends have some good stuff to build off of, but still a ways to go before the title reaches the kind of potential they are hoping for.

  50. I hope this helps. Either way, it was good to hear from you again, and do keep us updated on your Little Goody Two Shoes progress.

  54. Best,
