  1. [22:32] "...Mhh-hmm."
  2.
  3. A little utterance that signifies that she is conscious and aware comes from her, weak and- frankly, rather pathetic for the tall and heavily armored Felinae.
  4.
  5. She is lain back, and it takes a great deal of will and effort to rip her own hand off of the wound.
  6.
  7. What's left is... an entire object decision on whether or not it is even worth saving and keeping in her skull, but either way; her right eye will never function again without some miracle beyond medicine and traditional magic. Whatever had impacted her had cut through the shallow of her eye and soared onwards, gashing the flesh and bone along her orbital socket and the side of her face as well.
  8.
  9. Smaller cuts littered her, but none even collectively were so much. And it was certainly nothing fatal with bleeding tended to.
  10. (Audree Iessia)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [22:38] Entering into his kitchen the lord Pelleaux would look about the room. His eyes noting those who'd taken refuge within to aid the injured Knight. It was a relief to see that Basil. Strolling closer to those laid about the man would take position a near the doctor.
  14.
  15. His gaze shifted quickly, taking in the wound suffered by Audree. It was a grim thing and not something they'd likely ever truly recover from. The eye was in tatters and the damage to her features would remain as a remind of that. With a shift of his focus he'd turn his head to Basil.
  16.
  17. "Cos Kalogera, I've come to render assistance where it is needed in aiding this Knight with their injuries."
  18.
  19. It was true that he'd not officially entered the medical field but a Pelleaux never offered help if they could not provide it. Based on the even way in which they'd taken position and examined the woman's injury it was clear he'd had experience with wounds before.
  20. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [22:38] Feet drag. Fors is visibly stunned by every single thing he was forced to witness in the midst of the chaos, the mayhem, and welcomes an escape in the form of Claude's departure. His face flushed, his hands trembling, and his mind struck, he rushes along in a manner that lost every bit of composure that'd previously been shown in the presence of his superior.
  24.
  25. For once, the boisterous and noisy lad was simply - Quiet. He was no stranger to violence, to crime - To hard times, and sickening sights - but something about what he'd witnessed and what he'd heard struck chords he didn't even know existed.
  26.
  27. Eyes drift about, resting upon Audree for a moment. He'd lost sight of them in the mayhem, a stranger to him, but somebody who'd risen to fight and risked themselves for the sake of their beliefs. That? He could respect it more than anything else. The gaze is all he can offer, though, his presence merely dragging after Claude in support of his own attempts.
  28. (Fors)
  29. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  30.
  31. [22:41] For a brief moment, he loses what little composure he has left.
  32.
  33. "Son of a bitch," he says, watching as Audree is lain onto the table; the full extent of her injuries becomes clear. He puts a hand over his mouth before snapping into decision.
  34.
  35. He squats down, pulling out a scalpel and a pair of forceps; he briskly walks over to the washbasin behinds them and runs them through the water, as well as his hands, before turning around and getting to work.
  36.
  37. The first order of business: removing what was left of Audree's right eye. It was beyond saving, at this point; a suitable prosthetic could be fitted later, but he lacked the proper tools to install one.
  38.
  39. He lets out another swear. "God damn terrorists," he mutters, bending back down to his bag; after a few moments of rummaging, he pulls out a small jar of lax essence. He holds it up to the light for a brief moment before unscrewing the lid and smearing some on his fingers, and then onto the area around Audree's eye.
  40.
  41. "This ought to help the pain," he says, reaching for the scalpel and forceps. With the forceps, he holds open Audree's ruined eye; with the scalpel, he cuts out what's left. With the lax essence working as a topical anesthetic, she would feel next to nothing. Just numbness.
  42.
  43. He discreetly pockets what's left - best to dispose of it somewhere that the knight won't have any chance of finding.
  44.
  45. He turns to the door as Claude enters, waving him in as huts down his scalpel and forceps.
  46.
  47. "There's not much to do," he says. "At this point, I'm just stopping the bleeding.
  48.
  49. He claps his hands together, bending back down to look through his bag.
  50.
  51. "If anyone you just brought in is injured, speak now or forever hold your peace."
  52.
  53. Eventually, he pulls out a long, wide strip of reddish moss; he whistles at it and tears a piece off of the end, placing it on top of Audree's now empty eye socket. With what's left, he starts wrapping it around her head, making sure to cover the socket - once, twice, three times.
  54.
  55. "That ought to have stopped the bleeding," he says, turning away from them to face Lord Pelleaux and company. "Right. Is anyone else out there injured, or are we extraordinarily lucky tonight, Lord Pelleaux?"
  56. (Basil cos Kalogera)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [22:43] The sound of Ravan's leather boots connecting with the cold stone floor of the manor could be heard, as he followed behind Lord Pelleaux. The commotion going on inside of manor was... Interesting? Thankfully, he had missed most of it due to him being to focused on preparing the feast for the festivities.
  60.
  61. Plus, it's not like he could have done much to help out anyways.
  62.
  63. Though as he reentered the kitchen, the boy would attempt to glance over his lord's shoulder, as those sienna eyes of his dart between everyone present in the room, before nodding.
  64.
  65. Yup, there was something going on in here, and odds are he couldn't really help, so he'd simply remain with Fors, following after Lord Pelleaux.
  66.
  67. "I uhh Jeez. I hope everyone's okay."
  68. (Ravan Karnstein)
  69. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  70.
  71. [22:50] Each moment is suffering. Nothing changes, but her shredded nerves and burning flesh are sensations that no normal body can grow used to. The slightest shift in the air is a new wave of pain, and her claws dig through thick gloves and tear them under the sheer effort that she exerts, digging her fingers into the table beneath her. To lay just so, still, keeping her breathing level takes everything she has.
  72.
  73. She's in too much shock, still, to open her other eye- soon, her only eye. Numbness to the wound, and screeching pain still in the back of her skull, ringing out down her spine and throughout her body; tremors of pain and shock fight her better sensibilities.
  74.
  75. But she swallows it. The Felinae trembles in rising, but she rises, hunched over and with one very bloody hand and another strikingly pristine. When had she dropped her blade? Under the table somewhere, when she finally allowed herself lie down.
  76.
  77. "...Y-.Yh. Yes. Th-ank you."
  78.
  79. Even just sitting up makes the blood rush and her head pound, but this new pain quickly finds some relief with the excess of lax applied.
  80.
  81. Slowly, Audree pieced the fight back together as best as she could remember it, while still fresh. Her instinct almost brings her hand to her hollow eye socket, but she stops.
  82.
  83. And goes quiet. She can feel enough of it to know.
  84. (Audree Iessia)
  85. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  86.
  87. [22:50] Amber hues watched the work of Kalogera as they delved into the processes of keeping the woman stable. His eyes followed the work being done with interest as if he was studying the motions of the doctor. Memorizing the stops taken to stabilize an injury to the eye. From the application of a regional numbing agent to the actual removal of the eye itself.
  88.
  89. He was interest at the way in which the eye was removed without risking damage to the brain but once a slice had been given to the nerves that connected the eye to the skull he saw how quickly it was to remove the orb fully. Noting down in his mind the best place to cut in order to retrieve the item.
  90.
  91. As the doctor shifted to him, informing him that there was truly nothing to be done aside from stabilization the man frowned. Temporary solutions had never sat well with him. Though as the bandages was wrapped about the woman's head the noble shifted his focuse to his servants who'd followed him into the kitchen.
  92.
  93. "No, I don't belive anyone else with me is injured. A little shaken up perhaps but not physically so." His attention shifted to Fors who was clearly the most shook up. "Fors, get me something to drink from the bottles behind the bar." Did he really need another drink? No, but it was clear the boy was shook up. A simple order such as this would give him something to focus on and steady his nerves.
  94. (Claude vey Pelleaux)
