  2. *** This is a guide that details how to setup the Vermintide 2 mods listed in the Bros' mod pack that can be found here: ***

  4. ****************************************************************************************************************************
  5.
  6. --> Vermintide Mod Framework / Penlight Lua Libraries / Simple UI / More Items Library
  7. Libraries that used in other mods.
  8. > No setup needed.
  9.
  10. --> True Solo QoL Tweaks
  11. Adds a lot of useful stuff to enable true solo gameplay. Also used as a "library" in another mod (Restart Level).
  12. > No setup needed for regular gameplay.
  13.
  14. --> Cata 3 & Deathwish / Onslaught
  15. These mods add the cata 2 and 3 difficulties, as well as the Deathwish and Onslaught mutators (that work as "added modifiers" that stack with each other and difficulties like cata 1/2/3).
  16. > No setup needed, check the mods' pages for how to use them.
  17.
  18. --> Tourney Balance Testing / Handmaiden the Everqueen
  19. Balance mods. (Like I said, balance mods should not be used together, but the Handmaiden mod is an exception as it was made specifically to be used with the Tourney Balance mod) > > > No setup needed.
  20.
  21. --> Give Weapon / Give Weapon Supplement - Remove CW Traits / Save Weapon
  22. Allow you respectively to give yourself any weapon or item, remove the CW specific traits from the trait pool, and save the weapons you give yourself between sessions.
  23. > Check each mod in the mods config menu (F4) to set them up easily.
  24.
  25. --> Skip intro / Skip Cutscenes
  26. Do exactly what their names imply.
  27. > No setup needed for Skip intro; check Skip Cutscenes in the mods config menu and set it to "Automatic".
  28.
  29. --> Loadout Manager
  30. Allows you to save and restore loadouts (i.e. builds).
  31. > No setup needed.
  32.
  33. --> Crosshairs Fix
  34. Changes your crosshairs to more accurately reflect your weapon's projectile spread.
  35. > No setup needed.
  36.
  37. --> UI Tweaks
  38. Allows you to customise your UI. *A lot.* One notable feature of it is the Priority Buff system, which allows you to hide buffs you don't want to see (like auras, if you don't want to see your own auras all the time); and to designate some buffs as "high priority" and have them show up separately, in a different part of the screen. It's very useful to keep track of important / time sensitive buffs, like Swift Slaying, which often changes how you attack when it's active; Battle Wizard's Tranquillity buff; Bounty Hunter's guaranteed ranged crit; etc.
  39. > Check the mod config meny to setup what you want to change. I *highly* recommend turning on, and using, the priority buff system.
  40.
  41. --> Numeric UI
  42. Allows you to show numbers on UI elements like health. (Some of its functionalities have been added to the base game, but I personally prefer this mod's UI)
  43. > Check the mod in the mods config menu to set it up easily.
  44.
  45. --> Parry Indicator
  46. Makes your stamina shields green while blocking counts as parrying (i.e. for a short duration after starting to block) when something in your build interacts with parries (e.g. Shade, Parry weapon trait, etc.)
  47. > No setup needed.
  48.
  49. --> Notice Key Pickup
  50. Displays a message in the chat when someone picks up a key.
  51. > No setup needed.
  52.
  53. --> Open Inventory in Game
  54. Allows you to change build elements while in-game. If you want to play fairly, this shouldn't be used in the middle of a level, but can be useful if you realised you forgot to swap a weapon or trait when the game just started, for instance.
  55. > Check the mod in the mods config menu to setup keybindings.
  56.
  57. --> Show FPS / Clock Time
  58. Pretty self-explanatory.
  59. > Check the mod in the mods config menu to set up the pixel offset of each text display. For quick reference, here is the config I use in 1920x1080 which positions them in the bottom right corner of the screen: https//i.imgur.com/xCFiSSN.png
  60.
  61. --> Needi
  62. When looking at a pickup in a mission, shows what allies need them the most.
  63. > No setup needed.
  64.
  65. --> Pause / Restart Level
  66. Pretty self-explanatory. *Do not press ESC during pause, or attempt to join a paused game!*
  67. > No setup needed; check the mod pages to learn the commands.
  68.
  69. --> Creature Spawner
  70. Quite self-explanatory too. Useful to test out some breakpoints, for instance.
  71. DISABLE THIS MOD while playing normally, as it will make certain lord fights crash (check out the mod's page for more info).
  72. > Check the mod in the mods config menu to setup keybindings.
  73.
  74. --> Replicant bots
  75. Massive improvements to bot AI. At the end of the day, they're still bots, but they're usually good enough to handle cata 1 like an average cata player.
  76. > No setup required to be used, but the mod options allow you to change some aspects of their AI. I recommend applying the general rule of "if you don't know what an option does, don't change it".
  77. I also recommend 1. Checking out the mod's page to see what classes are good/bad on bots, and using those. You can use Loadout Manager to make a class loadout the one that will be used on a bot that has that class (check "Bot override" in the loadout popup).
  78.
  79. --> Killbots
  80. Allows you to kill all bots instantly.
  81. > Check the mod in the mods config menu to setup the keybinding.
  82.
  83. --> Extra emotes
  84. Adds some weapon-specific emotes for all weapons in the game that were left in the code, but unused.
  85. To access them, press your usual Emotes Wheel keybind, hold it, and while holding, press E to access the next page of emote. The new emotes will all be displayed as "Pose".
  86. > No setup needed.
  87.
  88. --> Armory / Bestiary
  89. Adds data about weapons and enemies, respectively.
  90. > Check the mods in the mods config menu to setup keybindings.
  91.
  92. --> Ubersreik Five
  93. Allows you to play with 5 players. Same as Open Inv. In Game, this should be self-regulated and be used when you just want to have fun as 5 player, and not as a loophole to handle some difficulties more easily.
  94. > Check the mods in the mods config menu to set the number of bots you want in your games (setting 0 will make it so that you never have bots in your hosted games).
  95.
  96. --> Toss me
  97. Allows you to throw a Bardin player. Objectively the best and most important mod in this list.
  98. To use it, have a dwarf crouch in front of you, get close to him, and ping him (as you would ping an enemy). He will fly in the direction he was facing. I think it only works if the host has the mod, as well as the player who tosses a dwarf, but I haven't done enough testing to know that for sure.
  99. > No setup needed.
  100.
  101. --> Choose Grail Knight Quests
  102. Allows you to choose what quests you'll get as GK.
  103. > Check the mod in the mods config menu to choose the quests you want. If you don't have the talent that grants 3 quests, the first two will be chosen. Cannot use duplicated quests.
  104.
  105. --> Deeds Mutators Selector
  106. Allows you to add any mutator to any mission.
  107. > Check the mod in the mods config menu to choose what mutator to enable. None are on by default, so no setup needed for regular gameplay.
  108.
  109. --> Better Cart Physics
  110. Pretty self-explanatory.
  111. > No setup needed.
  112.
  113. --> Steam Rich Presence
  114. Allows Steam to show more info about your games when playing modded. Up to personal preference, but I think it's a good way to communicate better with your team while setting up parties, for instance.
  115. > No setup needed.
  116.
  117. --> Quickplay Exclude
  118. Allows you to exclude some missions from quick play.
  119. > Check the mod in the mods config menu to choose what missions you want to exclude from quick play.
  120.
  121. --> More Corpses
  122. The main use here is to use that to set the max number of corpses to 1, in order to improve performance. This becomes impactful with Onslaught, for instance.
  123. > Check the mod in the mods config menu to set the corpse limit to 1.
  124.
  125. --> Beastmen Loader
  126. Pre-loads beastmen at the start of levels. This helps avoid certain crashes.
  127. > No setup needed.
  128.
  129. --> Fix Restart Sound Bug
  130. Fixes a bug.
  131. > No setup needed.
  132.
  133. --> BandwidthFreer
  134. Optimises some host-client communications to save bandwidth.
  135. > No setup needed.
  136.
  137. --> Peregrinaje
  138. This is a HUGE overhaul of the Chaos Wastes. It adds soooo much stuff, and pretty much makes it into a whole new gamemode. I really recommend giving it a try with a few friends, it really is a lot of fun (and that's coming from someone who really didn't enjoy CW that much on live realm).
  139. TURN OFF THIS MOD while playing outside of the Chaos Wastes, as it might conflict with other mods (like the balance mods).
  140. > Check the mod's page for more info on how to set it up (this is only needed if/when you decide to try out the mod's version of Chaos Wastes, and not needed for regular gameplay).
