  1. Greetings anons, this Pastebin has been designed to make the ease of access to the server as simple as possible. It will be divided into several segments with pertinent information.
  2.
  3. IMPORTANT NOTE: I RECOMMEND YOU CHOOSE THE NEW NIJISANJI BASE FOR YOUR SPAWNPOINT, AND FOLLOW THE ARROWS TO THE BASE, MEET UP WITH ANONS AND DECIDE WHAT TO DO FROM THERE IF YOU ARE A NEW PLAYER. ZOMBOID IS A HARSH GAME ESPECIALLY FOR YOUR FIRST EXPERIENCE.

  32. (1-) Acquiring PZ & Addressing Anonymity Concerns
  33. There are three options for PZ Acquisition listed in the subsegments of this part of the write-up. The version we are playing is 41.78.16.
  34.
  35. For concerns about Anonymity, Indie Stone did a good job in setting up how server accounts work: They are on a server by server basis, so they do not reveal any information about your steam account, etc, except to the server admin who have IP logs to track problem users.
  36.
  37. To clarify this further: Whenever you join a server in Zomboid, you are prompted to make an account and password, though the UI is unintuitive, pictured here. https://gyazo.com/9d832282664862d077a16eb785e40d3f
  38. Where it says Account Name and Account password are where you would create an account. Once created, those credentials are stored as an account on the server The admin only has access to the username and your IP address for this purpose. In fact this allows you to make multiple accounts per server, there are no restrictions here.
  39.
  40. Each account is relevant only to that server. In a lot of servers, this account name may be displayed instead of your character's name, along side it, or may be hidden in favor of just the Character Name. For the purposes of this server, the third option is what I went with. Because of this, there is no actual risk of being doxxed, etc. If you still feel unsafe, I encourage you to use a VPN to mask your IP when playing, which would completely obfuscate your presence.
  41.
  42. =======================================================================================================================================
  43. (1A) Steam
  44.
  45. Option A is to buy a copy off Steam. This is the recommended method with a couple of advantages: 1. It's easy to install the game 2. If you end up befriending any anons you can add them easily if you're comfortable with them.
  46.
  47. Initially this was what I considered the best because of the workshop integration, but I learned that that is not quite the case in order to make the server work with

  53. =======================================================================================================================================
  54. So you don't want to pay for the game or are extremely concerned about anonymity? No problem. I've always been an advocate for this method, as I'm inline with Gabe Newell's stance that piracy has mainly been a service issue first and foremost. I also believe that all games should have demos like in the good old days, but demos are mostly out of fashion, anyway here are the options I've compiled for acquiring the game through more dastardly means:
  55.
  56. 1. Torrents:
  57. A. Here's your best option for torrents, along with the magnet of it
  58. https://www.1377x.to/torrent/5492628/Project-Zomboid-v41-78-16/
  59. magnet:?xt=urn:btih:BF49881E9D24D81D93F553C9B7ACA3D1E1B8DDF0&dn=Project+Zomboid+v41.78.16&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fopentor.org%3A2710%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.torrent.eu.org%3A451%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fexodus.desync.com%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.moeking.me%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.opentrackr.org%3A1337%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fopen.stealth.si%3A80%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.theoks.net%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fretracker.lanta-net.ru%3A2710%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fmovies.zsw.ca%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.opentrackr.org%3A1337%2Fannounce&tr=http%3A%2F%2Ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3A80%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fopentracker.i2p.rocks%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.internetwarriors.net%3A1337%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.leechers-paradise.org%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Fcoppersurfer.tk%3A6969%2Fannounce&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.zer0day.to%3A1337%2Fannounce
  60.
  61.
  62. B. Here's the GOG version of the game's torrent. Seven Gamers is a reliable website but they have some game files on google drive which requires discord access, they are vetted by the Piracy Megathread. THE ZOMBOID TORRENT DOES NOT REQUIRE GOOGLE DRIVE.

  64.
  65. 1. Direct Downloads:
  66. A. SteamRIP lets you get Steam Games directly ripped as folders, pre-installed. Files are not tampered with, and it's vetted by the Piracy Megathread.

  68.
  69. B. The Gofile copy posted here has been reported to work for anons on thread!
  70. https://igg-games.com/project-zomboid-free-539913398-download.html
  71.
  72. (1C) GOG.com
  73. =======================================================================================================================================
  74. Option C is to buy a copy off GOG.com. This method is the same as the pirate method except you pay money. I understand it if you want to support the devs but don't like steam as a platform or something. GOG has done fantastic work in keeping old games alive and MOSTLY DRM free.

  80. (2-)Installing Mods
  81. (2A) Modpack [Any new versions of mods will be added to the gofile folder. Modpack will be updated monthly.]
  82. The Modpack contains all of the mods used by the server, which I manually combed through the workshop to acquire. Download it here:
  83. https://gofile.io/d/hOHLNb
  84.
  85. Alternative Download Links for the Main Mod File:
  86. Mega: https://mega.nz/folder/bVokha7C#wdJ-PB2xMBtNriLDyOXmiw
  87. Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/3/folders/1cJqytUvF_OekEjGp5N6flogyUvUx9dHf
  88.
  89. Installation:
  90. 1. Download the modpack.
  91. 2. Navigate to C:/Users/[USER NAME]/Zomboid
  92. 3. Extract mods folder into the folder above, and make sure the mods all are in the C:/Users/[USER NAME]/Zomboid/mods folder
  93. 4. When you start up Zomboid, Click on Mods in the Main Menu
  94. 5. Activate ALL the mods.
  95. 6.???
  96. 7. PROFIT!
  97.
  98. (2B) Installing Individually Updated Mods and New Mods
  99. Updated individual mod files will be uploaded to the gofile folder here: https://gofile.io/d/5yNPpQ
  100. And also two alternative folder on Mega: https://mega.nz/folder/rcphFbIB#KqHnHz7z_g7wPcnPjHorhw
  101. And on Google Drive, respectively: https://drive.google.com/file/d/194oYD-CAJtXnNupaQLy4CEEtabZMkpbI/view?usp=drive_link
  102.
  103. (2C) OPTIONAL MULTIPLAYER FIX FOR ZOMBIE CULLING [https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2896255721]
  104. ``Have you ever been chased by any number of zombies, turn around and notice they aren't moving? then you move closer and poof?`` - Zomboid has an issue with how it handles the culling of zombies in Multiplayer. When a certain threshold of zombies is reached in a chunk, it starts culling extra zombies and keeping them as simulated zombies in the surrounding chunks. The problem is it doesn't target the zombies furthest away from a given player, but the oldest zombies, which are often the ones chasing the player, leading to disappearing zombies.
  105. 1.Locate the Zombie Fix folder in the Mods C:/Users/[USER NAME]/Zomboid/mods/zombie fix
  106. 2.Copy the "zombie" folder found here into your ProjectZomboid main install director, overwriting the folder and any files.
  107.

  109. =======================================================================================================================================
  110. (3A) Switching Steam to non-steam Version [Note] Pirates and GOG users don't need to do this.
  111. To Switch from the Steam Version of Zomboid to the Non-Steam Version follow these steps.
  112. 1. In the Steam Library Page of Zomboid, hit the Gear Icon on the rightmost side of the Play button.
  113. 2. In the dropdown, select properties.
  114. 3. Under the General Tab, locate "Advanced Users ay choose to enter modifications to their launch options."
  115. 4. Type in "-nosteam" without the quotes
  116. 5. Close the menu.
  117. 6. Launch Zomboid.
  118. 7. your version is now the non-steam version of Zomboid, and drawing mods from the C:/Users/[USER NAME]/Zomboid/mods instead of the workshop.
  119. 8.Follow the steps in (3B) Connecting to the Server.
  120.
  121. (3B) Connecting to the Server [Updated]
  122. To connect to the server follow these steps.
  123. 1. In the main menu press Join
  124. 2. The browser defaults to the favorites tab if you have even 1 favorite server, if this is the case, click the Internet tab
  125. 3. Under name Filter type "Alban" and you should see "Alban Quarantine Zone 2232" show up
  126. 3a. YOU WILL NEED TO TICK THE SHOW LARGE SERVERS TICKBOX
  127. 4. Click on the server in the browser. This should populate the Add to favorites tab on the right of the browser. THE IP ADDRESS WILL SHOW UP WRONG. I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS IS, THE ACTUAL IP ADDRESS IS:
  128. 5.83.175.99
  129. AND THE PORT IS:
  130. 25565
  131. 5. Under server password type in 2232GYM
  132. 6. Under Account User Name create your SERVER SPECIFIC account, this is your login.
  133. 7. Under Account Password create your password.
  134. 8.[IMPORTANT] Hit the save button. The server should now be saved to your favorites, and your account and password should automatically populate in the Favorites Tab.
  135. 9. Click Join Server in the FAVORITES TAB. Seems to have trouble connecting from the INTERNET tab, maybe because of the BUM IP address.
  136. 9[ALTERNATIVE]. DOUBLE CLICK THE added Server's name in the favorites tab [Dev mentioned this works for some people instead of hitting the join server button for some reason].
  137.
  138. (3C) Connecting to the Server Direct IP Method
  139. 1. In the Main menu, press Join
  140. 2. In the Favorites Tab, look at the Add to favorites tab and enter the following information
  141. Favorite Name: This can be anything, like 2232 Server
  142. IP Address: 5.83.175.99
  143. Port: 25565
  144. Password: 2232GYM
  145. 3. Under Account User Name create your SERVER SPECIFIC account, this is your login.
  146. 4. Under Account Password create your password.
  147. 5.[IMPORTANT] Hit the save button. The server should now be saved to your favorites, and your account and password should automatically populate in the Favorites Tab.
  148. 6. Click Join Server in the FAVORITES TAB.
  149. 6[ALTERNATIVE]. DOUBLE CLICK THE added Server's name in the favorites tab [Dev mentioned this works for some people instead of hitting the join server button for some reason].
  150.
  151. Note: If you wish to make additional accounts it's as simple as typing a new login name and password. There's not much point to this outside of being an admin and having an admin account on the side, but it lets you make more than one character on the server if you want to try out different builds while retaining your combos.
  152.
  153. IMPORTANT NOTE: There's no way to recover accounts so keep your accounts and passwords saved somewhere on your computer.

  167. (5-) Rules & Reporting
  168. You can either try to get me on the thread, which is probably unreliable. More reliable would be to contact me by the following 3 methods:
  169. 1. Email for Server Support and Suggestions: bonedrewdpluto@gmail.com
  170. 2. On my discord if you've added me.
  171. 3. On my steam if you've added me there.
  172. Note: If you wish to add me you can email me above or archive dig for my discord/steam account via the collection link.
  173.
  174. (5A) Submitting Reports & Basic Rules
  175. Basic Rules:
  176. 1. No Hacking
  177. 2. No Harassment (Flirting fine, please keep it consensual and civil, if I get reports of multiple instances of unwanted flirting, I will ban you)
  178. 3. No Excessive Griefing (Examples:
  179. A.No targeting a player and constantly getting them killed/killing them over and over. It might seem like fun but put yourself in their shoes.
  180. B. Base raids are fine, anons can turn you into a wanted criminal and bounty hunt you if they'd like to get revenge.
  181. C. Leading zombies is fine, but please avoid excessively targeting the same people as that falls under the first example.)
  182.
  183. 4. Keep it Civil (I don't care about people shit-talking, and your usual 4chan colloquial norms, but don't be an ass to someone specifically repeatedly, as it will fall under harassment and griefing. Temporary bans will be issued to people who can't control their anger over Internet arguments since that's how I'd treat a child.)
  184.
  185. 5. No witch-hunting (I don't want to see people do the opposite and try to falsify evidence against a player just because they don't like them. I strive for balance and fairness)
  186. 6. Most important rule - Have fun, anons, this is for you all at the end of the day.
  187.
  188. I will accept reports for hacking, for harassment or excessive griefing. Evidence is your strongest tool here, I will hear appeals from both sides. If there is multiple sources of evidence against you, I will consider it more heavily while keeping in mind the possibility of a witch hunt. If someone verbally harasses you, please record the game audio. In all other cases, screenshots or footage would be best. If it's one off, shrug it off, if it's excessive I will review. Bans timings are by my judgment: Hacking is perma, every other ban will be time-based with appeals. Repeated bans for the same offense will lead to permanent bans. Play nice.

  191. (6-) Contact Details
  192. (6A) Support Email for Troubleshooting: bonedrewdpluto@gmail.com
  193.
  194. (6B) Moderator Application: If you would like to help moderate the server that would be appreciated. I can't vet people so please only apply if you want to maintain the peace and do a better job than our jannies/mods/meidos on the thread. If I get reports of moderators abusing powers or discover it myself, I will ban you from the server, with no appeal if the evidence is sufficient.
  195.
  196. (6C) Server Suggestions, Event suggestions, Mod Requests
  197. Feel free to submit suggestions to the same email above. Mod Requests are unlikely to be approved unless anons express enough interest, or I feel like the suggested mod could add to the experience without too many conflicts or unbalancing issues.
