JAEMIN was born in south korea, but his family moved to canada shortly after his birth. as a child, he loved to dance and act, and often dreamed of becoming an entertainer. he ended up flying back to korea at the age of 13 to audition for fantagio. jaemin left the company after 2 years due to health reasons. after he fully recovered, his family moved back to korea. he joined the survival program produce x 101 as an individual trainee. after being eliminated, he got offers to join companies, but he politely declined them as he was still figuring out what he wanted to do with his career. it wasn’t until half a year later that he was scouted by nocturne entertainment, which he gladly accepted, due to him being a fan of his former company senior.
