It passes mostly uneventfully, however work never stops, with several new dig sites opening around Ferrugo with the signing of a new contract. Yet again, you find yourselves in Roland's workshop, doing whatever it is you're supposed to do.

[20:02]	* [Pyg]Mei	is...wandering the halls as if doing so will cause work to appear in front of her. Hopefully it won't be the kind which needs her to deal with somebody.

[20:11]	* [G]Roland	kips up, bringing both himself and Mei to their feet, and then uses her belly and shoulder like a guitar, strumming her button while bouncing his fingers erratically up and down her arm. Mei can hear his very loud music from here, and most certainly can't hear her.

[22:02]	* [Pyg]Mei	stands there quietly with the letter in hand which soon erupts into flames. She lets it burn for a while before crushing the charred remains and letting the ashes scatter on the floor. No doubt a small prank to further bother her today.
[22:04]	* [Pyg]Mei	gathers up the ashes as best she can before she goes to get a dustpan to pick up the rest.
[22:56]	<[GM]Mary>	Mei: You hears the sound of footsteps and panting, but before you find the source, the source runs into you. Some skinny white-haired teenager wearing overalls, a helmet, and generals mining gear. He topples over you then rolls into the floor.

[23:35]	<[GM]Mary>	You hitch a ride on a rail cart and hurry to the shaft-C dig site. You arrive at the central nerve of shaft-C operations, filled with equipment in ill-repair or currently not in use, as well as serving as a nucleus for tunneling out into dig sites.

[23:40]	* [Pyg]Mei	remains quiet the entire time. Today really isn't looking to be a good day.
[23:43]	* [G]Roland	shakes his head, and hops out of the cart, shovel in hand and helmet on head.

[23:43]	* [Atai]Momo	springs out afterwards, looking around the place.
[23:44]	<[GM]Mary>	There's a wide, bald man covered in soot trying to fix a comm panel. He puts away the receiver when he sees you and approaches hastily.
[23:45]	<[GM]Mary>	Dude: "Rolo! Lessy! Thank God you made it, we're in a real pickle!"
[23:45]	<[huh]Alessa>	What's the problem?
[23:46]	* [huh]Alessa	hops out of the cart deftly.
[23:47]	<[GM]Mary>	Dude: "Ceiling fell in at the new diamond dig site. I've been tryin' to fix this thing for fifteen minutes, but something's wrong with the wires 're... somethin'.
[23:47]	<[GM]Mary>	The man holds out the receiver, which is no longer connected to the panel.
[23:48]	<[kiri]Leona>	Should we do something with the collapsing ceiling first?
[23:49]	<[G]Roland>	uh... Yeah. Come on, let's check it out..

[23:50]	* [G]Roland	runs off, and skids to a halt. There's like, six paths here.

[23:50]	* [Atai]Momo	offers Mei a hand getting out of the cart.

[23:54]	<[Atai]Momo>	Ah, looks like they're already going. Let's hop to it!
[23:56]	<[GM]Mary>	You reach the new dig site, or at least what's left of it. The ceiling is quite low here, and up ahead it has fallen in, certainly crushing any who happened to be beneath. It's very dark, as most of the electric lamps are either broken or malfunctioning and the oil-fueled lanterns have also fallen shattered.
[23:56]	<[GM]Mary>	There's about a dozen miners here, most of them injured or frantically trying to dig out those fallen prey to the cave-in.
[23:57]	<[kiri]Leona>	Okay, sir. What now?!
[23:57]	* [Pyg]Mei	gets moving to start helping the injured, opening the first aid kit she has and searching for the necessary equipment.

[23:59]	* [G]Roland	shines his light on a couple of dead bodies pulled away from the wreckage. He says something under his breath, then turns back to the group.

[00:12]	<[GM]Mary>	Mei: you help set a guy's arm, but it's pretty much shattered, you don't have the expertise to deal with it. He howls in pain a few times and urges you to help some other guy.

[00:14]	* [Pyg]Mei	reluctantly moves on to the next injured miner.

[00:18]	<[GM]Mary>	The next injured man somehow has glass sticking out of his face. It's covered in shards, there's even one in his eye...

[00:23]	* [kiri]Leona	grabs the man's hand. He tries to speak something with the blood coming out of his mouth, but she can't even hear it before he cease to live.

[00:24]	<[GM]Mary>	Patient: "J-just pull it out, dear... I ain't the heart to do it m'self, so just... make it quick, please..."
[00:24]	* [Atai]Momo	finds a shard of wood from a broken shovel, and instructs the man to bite down on it.

[00:25]	* [kiri]Leona	hold her tears and move on to the next spot. There must be someone... someone who still alive!
[00:25]	<[Atai]Momo>	...This is probably going to hurt. A lot. Mei, get the tweezers ready, and start plucking the glass out of him once I say so.

[00:27]	* [Atai]Momo	grabs some bandages, in one hand , and sets them down next to her. Takign a deep breath, she takes ahold of the glass in his eye, and yanks it out. She immediately lays down a cotton pad and bandage over it.
[00:27]	* [kiri]Leona	uncover a live, female miner. She's bleeding from the head, however.
[00:27]	<[Atai]Momo>	There ought to be plenty. Blue bottle. I imagine he probably wants some quick.

[00:28]	<[Atai]Momo>	Just two.
[00:28]	<[kiri]Leona>	I need some help over here! Please!
[00:28]	<[GM]Mary>	Patient: "Whatever, just get it out... ah, fuck..."

[00:30]	* [G]Roland	checks her injuries, following her eyes with a penlight to make sure she's conscious.
[00:32]	* [Atai]Momo	starts pouring in a bit of her life into him. It's not enough to restore the eye, but it'll be enough to cleanse the wound and prevent infection or gangrene.
[00:32]	* [Pyg]Mei	takes out a blue bottle, giving it a rattle. Looks like it still has something in it.
[00:35]	* [kiri]Leona	get the girl's hand.
[00:35]	<[kiri]Leona>	You're in good hands now. It's gonna be alright. You'll be okay. Just a little bit longer, okay? Hang in there.
[00:38]	<[GM]Mary>	She nods, resting herself on Leona's chest. Roland gets up and continues working.
[00:40]	<[GM]Mary>	About a dozen other workers arrive and see the mess, and quickly begin helping along with the rest of you.
[00:41]	* [Atai]Momo	hands off the unopened kit to one of the other workers who looks halfway like somebody who knows what they're doing.
[00:43]	* [kiri]Leona	is not really strong enough to drag the girl away to where the medic are, so she just stay there and wait for pickup.
[00:43]	* [Pyg]Mei	is on standby with the tweezers again waiting for Momo's instruction.
[00:44]	<[Atai]Momo>	Okay, start getting the rest of the glass out once you've given him the moxefirin, if you could, Mei?
[00:51]	* [Pyg]Mei	slips a painkiller into the man's mouth before beginning to pull out the shards of glass one by one.

[01:07]	<[GM]Gaatz>	He's laying against a large rock, with a leg crumpled into pulp. He's bleeding pretty badly.
[01:09]	* [Atai]Momo	's breath sucks in. This is a bit beyond her skills. But she has to do the best she can...

[01:18]	* [Pyg]Mei	's voice gets caught in her throat as she begins to quietly panic.
[01:20]	* [Atai]Momo	tries to force the wound to self-seal and cauterize, but no luck.

[01:22]	* [Pyg]Mei	would try to cauterize, but realizes it's a very stupid thing to do in a mine.

[01:28]	* [Atai]Momo	can feel his life leaving him, despite all her frantic efforts. Her eyes close, and she tries not to cry.
[01:29]	* [Pyg]Mei	fearing the worst, she takes the man's wrist, checking for a pulse. There is none.

[01:29]	<[GM]Gaatz>	He doesn't answer.
[01:30]	<[Atai]Momo>	...There's nothing more we can do for him, Mei.
[01:32]	* [Atai]Momo	wipes off her hands, and gently closes his eyes before pulling up his coat over his head. She's trying not to break down in the middle of this.

[01:33]	* [Pyg]Mei	has a pained expression on her face.
[01:34]	* [Atai]Momo	takes ahold of Mei's hand, and squeezes it comfortingly.
[01:36]	* [Pyg]Mei	flinches a little at Momo's touch, but doesn't do anything to reject it. She's too busy sitting still in defeat.

[02:09]	<[GM]Gaatz>	Momo: a girl about Mei's age and size runs into you, wearing a hooded cloak and carrying a big rock around with it. She moves aside, and leaves the area of the accident.
[02:18]	* [Pyg]Mei	hears the crunch under her shoe and looks down.
[02:21]	* [Atai]Momo	is about to tell the girl to watch where she's going, but she scampers off quickly enough.

[02:29]	<[GM]Mary>	More people arrive and help with the rescue. The escavation lasts into the night, and a total of eight people are found dead, with seventeen injured. Roland tells everyone to go on back to the shop, and don't wait on him for dinner.

[00:56]	<[GM]Mary>	The illumination reveals that something must've gone terribly wrong. The medicine cabinets and sample drawers have all been thrown open and their contents ransacked, with several prescription bottles and medical syringes strewn about on the floor. A couple of the locked cabinets have been broken into, and glass litters the counter and floor beneath.

[01:16]	<[GM]Mary>	After about a dozen attempts at revival, her chest heaves and she sputters a few breaths. She's still not conscious, and it's not long until her breathing comes to a halt again.

[01:20]	<[GM]Mary>	She stabilizes. Her breath is still short and irregular, but it hasn't collapsed... yet.

[01:35]	<[GM]Mary>	You use the phone in the office, calling the town doctor which is listed near. For a long time, there's no answer, then someone picks up. It's obviously a woman, but you can't understand her through her sobbing.

[01:39]	<[GM]Mary>	"sniff...muh-muh-muh-mister McDougal... h-he's dead..."

[02:06]	<[GM]Mary>	The nurse rigs Sarian up with some oxygen, and plugs her with a tube-thing and sets up an EKG to monitor her pulse. It's low, but doesn't falter with continuous oxygen.
[02:10]	<[GM]Mary>	After several minutes of the nurse tending to Sarian, she huffs and takes a seat in the stool next to her, closing her hands around her face.

[02:11]	* [huh]Alessa	dreads the answer.
[02:12]	<[GM]Mary>	Nurse: "She's stable."
[02:12]	<[huh]Alessa>	Oh, thank goodness...
[02:13]	<[GM]Mary>	Nurse: "But she's probably in a coma. She's overdosed on pentobaribital, possibly exacerbated with a benzodiazepine, which caused her to hypoventilate."
