The party finished up last minute engagements with buying and selling.

Ryardynin spoke with a the armorsmith's son, Calvin, and left him a note and an illusory rose.

The party set off to the east, on the fastest available route to their destination.

Along the way, they saw smoke and a farm burning. They decided to investigate.

They were met with a farm in ruins, with its former occupants slain. The perpetrators appeared to be finishing up their work. Among them, they had clerics and mages, and appeared to be led by a cleric.

Ryardynin determined these men to be a part of a death cult, known as the Despoilers of Gisarlarinzee. They are dedicated to spreading death and destruction, to pave the way for their goddess. They are zealots who do not fear death, and yearn to become one with their goddess in the afterlife.

The leader managed to reanimate a ghoul prior to combat, which immediately commenced.

During the struggle, Alasdair recognized they did not speak Yog.

Their leader, upon dying, was consumed from the inside by insects, which the party contended with.

The party managed to capture one of the mages alive, and restrained him.
