  1. * This list only counts troops that can get weapons that do blunt damage only which will prevent them from killing their opponents. Most of these troops also have other weapon types as well. Remember to order them to use blunt at the start of battles!
  2.
  3. * Some troops, like the Slave Driver, get the Spiked Staff which does blunt swing and piercing on thrust. Troops using this weapon and others like it won't kill the majority of their opponents but were left off for consistency.
  4.
  5. * Start in the Khergit Khanate because they are focused on cavalry which will give you an advantage in the early game. Once you have some money and higher tier troops like Lancers and Horse Archers it would be wise to go get some Sarranids for those delicious Mamlukes who, along with the Slaver Chiefs, will be your best troops. Both of them are less effective on hilly terrain or when dismounted.
  6.
  7. * Speaking of Slaver Chiefs, the only way to get Manhunters is to rescue them from imprisonment and recruit them. The Sea Raiders on the coast often have them, as well as the more dangerous Desert Bandits.
  8.
  9. * Avoid mounted Desert Bandits, the primary target should be Sea Raiders. Counter their ranged weapons with speed, just smash into them with a big group of cavalry. Use the terrain for cover on approach, if you can. DO NOT destroy Sea Raider lairs if/when you find them as they spawn more prey.
  10.
  11. * Make sure to always try and outnumber your opponents since your tactics will be pretty similar: a full on charge.
  12.
  13. * Charisma is obviously your most important attribute. The higher your Prisoner Management and Leadership, the more you will profit. Intelligence is a close second, with every skill associated with it except Engineer and Persuasion being useful. Agility is good for Looting and Athletics (for countering high encumberance armors).
  14.
  15. * Ideally a slaver character shouldn't go past Strength 15 for the Heavy Great Hammer. However the best one-handed blunt weapon, the Iron Mace, has no Strength requirement. Great Helmets and Full Helmets have a Strength requirement of 10, and Plate armor is 9. Of course if you want to role-play less as a Merchant of Humans and more of a brutal Slaver Boss then by all means, drink the protein. Just be aware that this is all about them sweet Denars so the less Charisma you have, the less you will profit.
  16.
  17. * If you can manage to obtain a castle or town then you can have two different armies. Your first army would consist of men who specialize in the aquirement of valuable property (people) and the other is a war fighting one.
  18.
  19. * The best troops from each relevant faction are: Khergit Lancers, Sarranid Mamlukes and Slaver Chiefs. You can fill out the ranks with Khergit Horse Archers, Sarranid Horsemen, Sarranid Guards and Slave Crushers. Any troop under 3rd teir will have trouble with Sea Raiders. Remember to keep your army size appropriate to outnumber the largest groups of miscreants you can find at your level, but don't make it so massive that it eats into your profits too much.
  20.
  21. * You should also invest the money you earned from the suffering of your lessers in industries of each town. Make sure to research what is the most profitable in each town. Ideally you'd want one in every city before to choose a faction.
