  1. We hit 500 subs today.
  2.
  3. Hold on, I got a little excited right there and I need to write it again.

  5. WE HIT 500 SUBS TODAY.
  6.
  7. I explained this on stream, but many people weren't there and have been expressing words of caution, so I wanted to make this pastebin as a means of explaining what my thought process will be moving forward.

  9. For those unaware, I currently work 4 jobs. 1. Stream 2. Teaching voice and piano on Tuesdays 3. Singing at a church on Thursdays and Sundays 4. All my other various opera gigs that I lump into one "job". The only one of these I'd rather not work is my teaching job, since I don't enjoy teaching, I'd rather focus on my own music, and I have to commute 1hr each way to get to this job. Therefore, that's the job I'm going to be leaving. Having this extra day each week will allow me to dedicate an entire day of the week to creating content, fixing up various stream-related tasks, practicing my voice/piano/guitar skills, etc. I probably would still consider it a day off from streaming, but if I really felt like streaming to stay on a PB/WR grind, I would stream and love every second of it. I was waiting to leave this job until we hit 500 subs, and we've done that!

  11. Here's the caveat: I will not be leaving this job immediately. I wanna take my time with this process and do it correctly. The first step was to hit 500 subs, and now the second step is to *maintain* this sub count even for a month. If we keep going up, amazing! If we drop a little bit below 500, that's fine. I want to make sure that these numbers stay up even when the hype of "full time" is now off the table. Of course, I'm going to keep working my ass off to make sure you all want to stay subbed. Should a month go by and numbers don't drop, then I'll feel much more comfortable moving forward with leaving the job. At that point, I would put in my two weeks' notice and help my boss hire my replacement.
  12.
  13. Nothing about this process should be rushed. I absolutely intend to take my time with it and make sure everyone is comfortable with this transition. I carry myself as a professional in the music world, and that's how a professional handles business. I know many of you were worried I was going to do this too carelessly, and I want to assure you all that I would never do something like that. Being able to make a good living off of streaming and opera singing is my dream, and I'm too close to achieving that dream to let it all fall to the wayside due to carelessness.
  14.
  15. Thank you all so much for all the support over the years, and I can't wait to keep pushing my stream to new heights with you all. <3
