Four Fates Under the Southern Sun 3.5, Session 8

Start: 7 pm, Day of Labor (Wednesday) Midsummer 9, 401 GA

Alasdair decided to leave the Duergar exile camp, and, following a lead, took a swim through the nearby fishing hole.

He emerged in the temple, and introduced himself to Ryardynin, Emilia, and Ukurdiel.

During their conversation, he explained his station as a person of some importance to house Xola, although he was humble.

Ryardynin and Alasdair collectively determined someone tampered with the creation station in the temple, and determined it may be the camp leader, known as 'Doc' to the locals.

They proceeded to clear out the rest of the temple and collect the containers in the pillars.

Alasdair demonstrated his regeneration ability to the others, and remarked how it was tied to his bloodline.

After the temple excursion, the party made their way through the underwater passage. They briefly spoke with a duergar named Varmads the Sentry. He was vaguely welcoming, but confused at their presence. He appeared to be a somewhat accomplished warrior, and had many goblin heads on pikes as a warning, presumably. He welcomed them to the 'free folks camp' and bid them inside.

Inside, the party got their bearings and spoke with Formalo the barkeep, Marty 'Long Shins' the scout, and Simeon the coal shoveler.

All of the three seemed distrustful of outsiders.

Simeon appeared fearful and hateful, but softened somewhat after Ryardynin purchased him a drink of the local firewater.

Marty was curious and forthcoming, and was informed of the passage to the temple, which he claimed he would investigate. He warned the party of some of the dangers in the nearby environs.

Simeon was gruff with Ryardynin.

Virtually the entire camp appeared curious and cautious to the presence of the newcomers, although not at all hostile.
